I had three bad experiences with other doctor before I came to see Dr. Joshi today. I knew this kind of doctor was out there and I finally found him. He listened attentively to all of my concerns, had a very kind and gentle bedside manner, and I found him to be incredibly knowledgable and aware of how some medical situations can be complicated. I really appreciate how nice the receptionist was and the office staff seemed super organized. The nurse was very nice, too. I was taken back right away for triage with the nurse and the doctor came to see me just moments after the nurse left. So what I am trying to say is that I am extremely pleased with the medical and customer service that I received at my appointment today.

There are a LOT of medical options (Doctors) in the city of Madison to settle for this garbage of an office. I WISH I had done my research before there. Now that I have left a review, is when I realized ALL the negative reviews and bad experiences people have had with this office, and here I thought it was just me, and maybe they had a bad day when I called and when I had my visit/appointment. Not to get into too many details of my case, but the front office called me this morning to give me the bad news about the lab work I did last week. First of all, I was in shock that the front desk called me and not the nurse or a Dr. After they gave me the news, I was lost for words, and she was like: okay? Anything else? Sure, there is a long wait here sometimes....its a walk in clinic lol what do people expect. I had my monthly visit today, was out in under 2 hours, and this was on the longer wait side. It's not that bad. For quality care and a doctor with EMPATHY...I'll take it. Thanks to everybody at Horizon's for helping me struggle my way out of a major hole. So, Wednesday, I went there as a walk-in. Arriving about 2:20 PM. I finally saw somebody at 5:40 PM. Or, rather a person (not the doctor) came into the exam room and said "sorry for the wait". ... little comfort.... I left ... wonder if the prescripts will be transmitted...???

I love the PA that I see…read more However, their website states that their patients will receive same day appointments and makes a lot of promises that are simply not true. You cannot even contact them on the same day in some cases. The main complaint that I have now is that the employees do not wear masks. This is at a time when Alabama is out of ICU beds and Covid cases are out of control. You must wear a mask to enter the building where the practice is located but once you enter their practice, no one is wearing masks. This makes me very uncomfortable. I will be looking for a new doctor.

I'm the time I have been a patient at this practice, I've never seen a doctor, just Nurse practitioners. I called the practice on Tuesday with a flare up of a condition I have that can be serious if not treated. I left two messages on Tuesday explaining my issue and requesting an appointment. I received no call back Fast forward to my appointment today. I explained my visit was for the flare up that needed treatment, I was having an issue with dry mouth, needed refills and a referral. I was told it was too many issues and all they could handle was a 3 min exam and the refills I would need another appointment for the dry mouth concern and a referral. I'd probably be okay with that if visits were charged different fees depending on length of appointment but I paid a normal fee. Don't go here if you want care and concern or if you don't want to be just a number to them.

I have brought my mother here and had to set in the waiting room on a couple occasion because they "forgot" to check her in and then we were sent home because we were late. She has significant medical issues including uncontrolled diabetes. I have seen my mother be belittled and told her medical concerns were not relevant or it was in her head. Multiple times I have called to speak with management about these issues and was given to the Lead Medical Assistant who spoke over me and was very hateful. She made me feel like my concerns were not valid and if something happened to my mother it would be our fault.
