Bought a fridge at the Ancaster store this past weekend. We had to pick it up because they didn't deliver to our area. The pick up crew was insistent that it had to lay down in the truck despite the fact that it could easily stand they. They put it in the truck pushed it up as that was it. When we got home we seen there was damage to to the box on the other side that we didn't see when the team put it in the truck. Called to report it. It clearly looks like it was damaged by a forklift with the metal all bent in etc. Customer service rep absolutely refused to help. talked to a manager and overall received the worst customer service possible. They started saying things that were not true, the reps were rude and basically said too bad we can't help you. In the end you guest it Tepperman's refused to do anything about the damaged product and we are not allowed to return it. I requested to talk to a manager and sure enough that is not even possible for 3 days. This is not the 1st time i have issue with the quality of products from Tepperman's (prior issue was with a sofa) but sure will be the last. There no value in buying bad quality/damaged products which are as good as trash from this retailer as not only will you be stuck with the terrible or unusable product but they will absolutely refuse to help if there is anything wrong. Bought a bedroom set for my son and two of the beds were so chipped and poorly made that I returned them both but then as there were no more beds in that particular set, I had to upgrade and spent at least $5000 on a new set which he's had since March 2023. Two days ago the bed broke, the wooden slats are so weak that they split in two on the side my son sleeps on the bottom and the mattress collapsed . He's 14 and light weight. Phoned customer service after going into the Ancaster store only to find I have to wait 5 business days to get it sorted and wait for a technician, even though I gave photos of the damage straight away. My advice is don't buy bedroom furniture from Teppermans ever! Every other bed in the house is from StoneyCreek furnishing and their quality is so much better. The only reason why I went with Teppermans is because I didn't want to wait 3 months and liked the wood colour which I couldn't see in the inventory at StoneyCreek unfortunately, but in the end I had to wait that long anyway. read more

Tried this store for first time bc fairly new in Ancaster. Purchased small freezer. Sales agent was good but too much in a hurry to get sale done. Customer service terrible - spelled name wrong on invoice, no break down of costs - had to ask for it. No details of purchased item on sales slip like other stores offer to make it easy to register item. Lastly the item goes on sale few days later and they won't reimburse bc they call it a limited item but when we ask, they have plenty in stock. We asked should we return and re-purchase. They say you can do what you want. LAST TIME WE BUY AT THAT STORE. Unhappy customers. read more

We bought a reclining sofa today. Our sales person was Mina. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. We enjoyed our experience with her and would recommend her to anyone who visits the Ancaster store. Thank you Mina for doing a great job. read more

I have purchased 3 items from this store in Ancaster the past couple of years. Two of the three items had to be returned either because of damage to the items or because they weren't what we had ordered. I had a problem with this order and spoke to the store manager about it. He took a condescending attitude toward me from the start of our conversation and told me "I don't believe things happened in the way you're describing it". I couldn't believe he would take this approach with me and so I asked him if he thought I was lying. He simply repeated "I don't believe things happened in the way your describing it". I said we could go over right now and speak to the salesman who sold me the item. He replied that he didn't need to speak with the salesman, he just repeated what he had said earlier. I sent in a letter to Tepperman head office in Windsor, complaining of the rude behaviour of this person. I received no response. So much for the Tepperman customer service. I will never set foot in a Tepperman store again. read more
