Always want to support local businesses. Went in to try to get a replacement igniter for our 300…read moreseries Weber BBQ. I was told that they could not help me without the exact year & model or serial number; that the parts change every 3-4 years and they would need the exact model. We had bought it second hand, so idea of the year, but certainly less than 7 or 8 years old, but the plate with the serial number was no longer on the BBQ. My husband then went in WITH the part, and after some discussion (again, saying they couldn't help without the model/serial number) they looked up the part number and found it at another location. They took his name and number and told him they would contact him when the part arrived in a day or so. After about 4 days, he called to see if it had arrived. They had no record of him, his contact number, or the part being ordered from the other store. In fact, the sales associate said, "Well, that's not how we do things here". The sales associate was entirely unhelpful and somewhat condescending. No apologies, no offer to make it right. So, after two trips to the store, and zero follow through on their part, I looked up the part on Amazon. Found that this was a UNIVERSAL part, which fits ALL 300 series Weber BBQs built in the last 13 YEARS. Ordered, and it arrived the next day.

In the 2 hours it took to get a tow truck, they had called the police and ticketed my car. They literally would have had to call the police to come to their location to do this as the store was already closed. What a bunch of sour pusses.

Wow...if you have ever wanted a BBQ...not just the ones that you see in the HD or CT catalog..but…read moreones that will make any fan of BBQ lust over...this is the place. The name Barbecues Galore is pretty accurate, as they carry an immense number of Propane, Natural Gas, Charcoal, Infrared, Wood..basically anything that can cook food with heat here. The selections range anywhere from the $100 dollar charcoal to the 5000+ dollar natural gas BBQ stations. Barbecues Galore are also licensed dealers of Weber, Napolean, Broil King, DCS ...just to name a few. If your looking for patio living or furniture..yup..they have it. Patio heaters, Fire tables, Umbrellas, Plates, Glasses..I could go on, but you get the picture. If your BBQ needs some tweaking or some extra add ons, they carry an excessive number of additions to make your BBQ experience even better. The staff here is super helpful and will answer any of your questions with some knowledge. If you like looking for that special type of secret sauce or rub to put on your BBQ creations, they also carry a wide selection of seasonings and rubs to round out your spice cabinet. There are only 4 locations (Calgary 2, Burlington, Oakville) and it would be great to see more. Barbecues Galore is a wonderland for any BBQ beginner or enthusiast and they can fulfill your wildest BBQ dreams!! 5 Stars!

They neglected to mention that a fan was an extra cost and after the installation it was obvious that the fan was needed. I purchased the fan but BG's installers would not do the install. They gave me a name of a third party contractor which I contacted but he did not show up on the day of the install arranged and never returned my calls. I found another local contractor who completed the installation of the fan. The fan has made a HUGE difference.

Garry took my information, along with pictures of the unit and asked that I contact their Barrie office the next business day. When I contacted them, the service representative had already processed the delivery of a new remote unit at no cost! I received the new unit and easily installed it by the end of that week. Amazing service and helpfulness by both Barbeques Galore and Garry Scott of Napoleon. Thank you to both! You have earned my future business.

SIX WEEKS of back and forth - with Kent from Barbecues Galore being more reactive than proactive (If I did not initiate an email or call, he was not involved). I finally got a call from a '3rd party' asking me to provide the part number of the items that needed to be ordered - six weeks after delivery. How is the onus on the customer to know the part numbers of the missing grill components? I reached out to Kent again - no reply, no follow-up that was about 2 weeks ago. At this point, I realized I was dealing with a company that isn't invested in customer satisfaction post-delivery. I called DCS directly in the US, explained my situation - escalated the lack of support from the unresponsive dealer. Finally, I got the parts shipped from Lancaster, TX, in 48 hours by FedEx. It took me two days to get a part Barbecues Galore declined to take ownership of their delivery issues and kept the customer in limbo for seven weeks. This has by far been the worst customer support experience I have ever encountered.

One guy said I should keep it and I said no please take it away as I have paid for that service. It was still on my driveway as they were leaving and I reminded the other guy to take it. I said "Bro, don't forget the boxes." He replied: "don't call me bro, I am a person too!" I was stunned and just ignored it. My elderly parents purchased a new refrigerator from Canadian Appliance Source. It has never functioned properly since the day it was delivered. The problems existed from the outset and, despite multiple service calls, technician visits, repair attempts, and repeated follow-ups, the freezer still does not work properly. My parents did everything reasonably asked of them. They followed the warranty process, accommodated technicians, and patiently pursued resolution. While dealing with significant health and mobility challenges, they became overwhelmed by the burden of navigating service providers, warranty processes, and repeated follow-ups simply to obtain the functioning appliance they paid for. When I became involved, we continued to pursue every reasonable avenue for resolution. We worked with the manufacturer, CAS Customer Care, provided documentation, and requested senior review. CAS declined to intervene, stating that the matter rests with the manufacturer. When I requested escalation, I was advised that further review would not be possible and that senior leadership would provide the same response. I understand that manufacturers administer warranties, and appliances can require repair. What I find difficult to accept is CAS's position that its responsibility effectively ends with the sale. CAS sold the appliance and benefited from the transaction, but when the product they sold never functioned properly, they declined to take meaningful ownership of the outcome. My parents were patient and cooperative. They simply expected the new refrigerator and freezer they purchased to work. Months later, they still do not have the functioning appliance they paid for. That is the customer experience I believe others should be aware of when deciding where to purchase a major appliance.
