Called last minute 2 miles away with a slow but noticeable leak in my rear driver side tire a passing vehicle pointed out alongside at a traffic light. Called 3-4 places that said they couldn't do anything till next dat(it was 11am) but tequesta tire said come on in. Had me out in about 30 minutes and $32 including tax for a patch and fluid top off. 2 of the 4 places I first tires said they don't do patches(it's a scam to sell you a new tire as patches are perfectly fine and been used over 100 years) I've sent a few other people there with positive experiences. read more

i have been using Teq Tire for about 25 yrs, and they've been great. However, i think they have taken a down turn in service. They recently installed tires on our bmw that immediately effected the drive-ability of the car. We took it back & they had no idea why & said maybe the alignment. We then took it somewhere else, had the alignment checked with no issues. Then took the car to bmw, who instantly said that the tires were the wrong tires for the car. They removed and put on the proper tires and the car instantly drove like it should. Teq. Tire said sorry NO REFUND! They WILL NOT stand behind their work; pathetic. Not sure whats going on there right now, but its not good. Had to dispute through credit card, but they ARE NOT GETTING PAID. read more

Beyond disappointing, dishonest and lazy, I won't ever use them again. I was a long time customer. I needed 2 tires replaced and an oil change. But I also asked them to look at a bad water leak going into the car. I repeated this request 3 times and they agreed to do the work . They changed the oil and replaced the tires but were too lazy to rotate the new best tires to the front. When the tech called to say the car was ready it was clear they didn't and never intended to inspect the leak. It wasn't even on his work order. When I picked up the car they told me "no this wasn't something they would do , take it to the dealership". I took it to the dealership. Turned out to be a simple fix that was easy to fix when the car was on a lift. But because it was the dealer it cost me $300 and the hassel of another day dealing with repairs. In short, they did the easy routine stuff, but didn't even do that well. But they lied to my face 3 times, they never intended to do the extra work. They ended up costing me a bundle plus more inconvience. There was some other stuff they didn't do as well but I'm out of space. Nice way to treat what was a long term customer. read more

This is painful. It's my first negative review, and it comes after a 4-tire purchase/installation and previously singing the praises of Tequesta Tire. Two weeks after describing my subsequent negative experience to the owner in a letter, there has been no response. An attempt to follow up to that letter by telephone was blocked by a gatekeeper who refused to provide any information. On 5/30/18, Jim, the Service Writer with 30 years of experience according to the website, provided a written quote (#08449) for the purchase and installation of 4 shock absorbers: $1,088.19. Since the individual prices for the shocks ($173.24 front / $154.75 rear) were substantially above current retail prices for the same items ($61.55 front / $41.24 rear), I obtained a 2nd quote from a trusted source. That quote was $777.23 for the same shocks based on the same labor rate ($85 per hour) and the same number of labor hours (4). The $283.76 difference in total cost, a difference of 39% is excessive. There is no doubt that further shopping will result in an even lower price. read more

I was currently visiting from out of town and needed an oil change. When I arrived I was helped almost immediately. The guy at the front, seemed irritated at my lack of knowledge of knowing exactly what kind of oil I needed. I get it. I should know. When the company called to let me know my car was ready I returned about an hour later. A different man was there and he was really nice and efficient. I'm only giving two stars because my fluids weren't filled and I had a heating pan that went over my muffler hanging down and making a very loud rattling noise. I wasn't aware of this until the following morning when I had to leave to drive back home. A 9 hour drive. Of when when I returned home I had to pay another company to fix the problem that occurred by this company. Basically, oil changes are routine and easy and fast. So maybe taking better caution and paying attention to what you're leaving behind would be appreciated. GUYS DO NOT GO HERE! THEY SCREWED A BOLT TOO TIGHT ON MY OIL PAN AND I HAD TO AGAIN PAY ANOTHER COMPANY $600 TO FIX WHAT THEY MESSED UP! I WAS BEYOND UPSET! Sadly, I've had nothing but great things to say about Tequesta Tire in the past. However, it seems they are too busy to properly care for their customers now. I took my car to see what was causing noise. They told me it was my axil. The axil had resent my been fixed however. After paying to have it checked at two other locations, I learned it was the shocks. I called and asked to speak with the manager, leaving three messages, and never got a call back in over two weeks. Came to find out the mat the manager was the one to misdiagnose the problem. The issue I have is not the mistake. It's the failure to take ownership or even be bothered to call back. read more

I was a long time customer of Tequesta Tire, but no more. I made an appointment 48 hours in advance to have routine scheduled maintenance done on my 2010 Lexus. Jim told me to bring my car in at 8am, which I did. I had made arrangements to be picked up by a friend, rather than wait. They were not at all busy when I left. In fact, I noticed there were no cars in any of the bays. By 11:30am, 3 1/2 hours later, I had not received a call informing me that my car was ready, which I thought strange. Every time before it took them less than 2 hours. So I had my friend drive me back. My car was still in the same space I had parked it. They hadn't even started on it yet! Jim gave me some lame excuse about people coming In needing tires. So what does that mean? Having an appointment and being there prior to others becomes irrelevant? I got my keys back and left. i should have known, when i called and left a message that i wanted to bring my 75 Corvette in for faulty brakes, and never got a message that this business was not for me. I stopped in and made an appointment to bring my car in on Tuesday May 31st. I had to have it towed there. I went and left the keys and said call me when it s done. AFTER two days of nothing i called and they said, the chief mechanic was busy but would work on it on Thursday. I said since its a Classic Car, can you put it in the garage cause its supposed to storm. They said yes. So again nothing from them on Thursday. I stopped in today to see my Classic Corvette still parked on the grass, having never moved. I went inside and said to the counter man, whats the story? My appointment was for Tuesday, its now Friday and you have not touched my car and furthermore, you left it outside. He said your appointment was to bring it in Tuesday and we get to it when we can. We are backed up. He claims he told me that when I brought it, but I would have never left it there if he would have said that. He did not. Probably wont get to it till next week. What kind of business is this, you make an appointment and we get to it when we feel like it? So I said, could it be another week? He said we will try to get to it. Well guess what, give me the keys, I had it towed back home, and I would never ever let them work on any cars of mine ever. I do not recommend this business, and you better think twice before taking yoour vehicle there. Two tows were a waste of time and money. They simply do not care about customer service. Tire air pressure light went on in my car. Stopped at a local gas station and was told one of my tires was very low and possibly had a slow leak. Took it to Tequesta Tire the next day and was told that there was no leak in the tire and that all that was needed was for the tire pressure in all my tires to be adjusted. The light went on again the next day so I took it elsewhere and there was a nail in the tire. Was also told at Tequesta Tire that they needed a key to pull my hubcap off. I searched in my glove compartment and the rear tire well in my trunk. Couldn't find anything. A gentleman at the place that I took it to the next day said I didn't need a key to get the hubcap off and proved it by taking the hubcap off with his hands. So I wasted all that time searching for something that I never had. If I could give Tequesta Tire no stars I would. read more

What a terrible and costly experience I had with this place. Driving down 95 late April, engine started hesitating, losing power, and finally shut off as I pulled to emergency lane. Hour and a half drive from home, car towed to Tequesta Tires. Jim at desk told me that they would diagnose and call me before commencing any repairs; this was early morning, I drove home to wait. Did not hear from them and had to call the next morning. I asked for diagnosis, he tells me that his system is down and would call me later. Calls 2 hours later and tells me that the work was complete and the cost was $560.00. Basically gave my car a tune up (which I had about a year ago), changing plugs, distributor, rotor, coil and an oil change. Never asked permission to make repairs. Apologized for not calling me to get permission and said that someone should have. I was stuck between a rock and hard place being so far from home. Grudgingly paid and headed home. Half hour up the road, engine started losing power again; devastated. Drove home at 30-40 mph on 95. Took car to trusted mechanic, (Hometown Auto, Sebastian) who found right away that it was the catalytic converter. Charged me for the part and one hour labor. Tequesta Tire stuck me with an unnecessary repair. Caught me in a desperate situation. Hope that it doesn't happen to you. read more
