About the time I was needing a haircut in the worst way, the Covid 19 shutdown happened and set my search back another 6 weeks. I posted a "looking for recommendations" for a new hair stylist on Facebook and The Billie Sue Salon was suggested many times. I studied their Facebook page and decided this could be the salon for me. I called on Friday hoping (but not expecting) to get in during the weekend. I was thrilled to find out Lindsay could get me in on Saturday at noon. I left early to do a little shopping before my appointment. Lindsay texted me at 11 am on Saturday and said she was running a little behind and asked if 12:45 was okay, That was perfect for me, it allowed me to do a little more shopping. I headed towards the salon about 12:15 and just as I was parking, she texted me letting me know she was ready for me. I walked in to find a very clean, adorable salon. She sat me down for the consultation before starting. As she combed my hair out, she made some wonderful suggestions on a similar but updated style. I knew immediately I found my new hair stylist. After shampooing my hair and she picked up her magic scissors and comb and went to work. I have not had a cut this good in a very long time. She took the time to explain what she was doing, why she was doing it and what I would need to do to transform my hair to how I would like it to look. I am so glad I was able to find Lindsay at The Billie Sue Salon. I highly recommend Lindsay and this salon. Everyone is super friendly, down to earth, talented and listens to you.

I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. She has seen me through extremely short hair styles, long hair-dos, curly bobs, and straightened locks. She is good at everything. But, enough about Becky. Big busy salons can be a little overstimulating for me, and I haven't enjoyed the overall experience of hair appointments in the past, but Alex's quiet studio is almost like a spa day, especially with her head spa treatments (just add these on to all your appointments, your scalp health and nervous system will thank you). She asks lots of questions to really understand how you like your color and your cuts, which is really helpful for getting on the same page since most of us don't know hair lingo. I like to cover my gray and however she does it grows out so soft and subtle, so I can go a little longer than I used to because I don't have that harsh line. My mom was looking for someone new to do her hair, and we found Bailey, who is recently out of hair school. Since I know the owner Jenna wouldn't hire anyone less than wonderful, I trusted her to take care of my mom, the Judy. I'm so glad we found her! She's as sweet as can be, and she gave my mom the best cut and color she's had in a long time. Her prices are very reasonable, and she really is just absolutely lovely. Fast forward to today - I popped in for a quick wash and blowout before a trip. Bailey took great care of me and I loved the style. But once it was straight, I realized it needed just a bit of a trim and she fixed me right up - super fast and just right. But the neatest thing if all? While I was there, three different young ladies with special needs came in - they were all being treated to up-dos for a unique prom for young people with Down's syndrome. All the girls I saw looked beautiful and they knew it! It was so cool to see them enjoying a rite of passage with all the trimmings. Jessica does my hair and she never disappoints. She is extremely talented and she continually makes my hair dreams come true. I was lucky enough to have AnnElyse do my bridal hair and makeup. I had a morning wedding so it was a very early event and slightly stressful getting everybody ready so early - Jessica and Bailey were amazing. I couldn't have been happier. It's a big deal to trust somebody with your hair and makeup on your big day and I would 100% recommend their team. Emily also does amazing work. I was asked if I'd anything to drink and they gave me a great hot mint tea option which was really great. I was greeted by Eydan very quickly and she took me right back and quoted me on my visit that day after she heard what I was wanting. She started with a scalp massage which was a really nice add and then washed my hair and got right to work. It was really easy to talk to her and she made me feel very comfortable. The stylist didn't even brush my hair, just started cutting. Normally they brush my hair and cut in sections, this time she did not. She simply cut straight across the back then got some clippers and claimed she was getting the stragglers. Without touching my bangs she announced she was all done. I had to remind her she wasn't "all done" - big mistake. Not only did she mess up the back of my hair, she chewed up my bangs. I would have been better off cutting my hair myself. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. $37 for a 10 minute cut, uneven bangs and chopped hair is not what I call acceptable. Luckily I caught a break and didn't need my hair washed or it would have been $47.
