She tried to cancel our appointment last minute and I definitely should have let the universe intervene and canceled. I walked in hoping to get a quick dry trim before a last minute show. My roots were bad and Jesse was willing to do a quick highlight, which was incredible! I was so glad she made that happen, and on top of that, I made it home in time to freshen up and still made it to my event on time (truly a miracle). It's not everyday you find that kind of service. I came and saw Anna around Christmas time to get a good haircut and wash and blow out. She was so calm and easy-going and during that stressful time, it was really nice to not feel like I had to carry a conversation if I didn't want to. It was so relaxing and just easy-going. She was really gentle and really is good at shampooing and conditioning. She was cutting and she really listen to me and explain that it may look a little shorter, but it's because I had awkward pieces from a curly cut that I had previously and that I'd be able to wear it straight or curly now and it would help my bangs grow out and it would grow evening evenly and last longer. When I finally saw it, I had to cry, happy tears because I finally felt like myself for the first time in a long time. It was closer to a lot of the better haircuts I had when I was younger and I really felt just like me again. Mckenzie is the best thing that's ever happened to my hair!!! I tried to do my own hair at home for a new job and it turned out black in the back and a pink/ orange color in the front when I wanted medium brown in the back and ginger in the front. I called around to every place in Edmond letting them know that I started a new job at 2 THAT SAME DAY- nobody wanted to take me because of the lack of time they had and also because getting black out of hair can be really difficult. Luckily McKenzie was able to make time for me and she did a WONDERFUL job! We decided to go for a medium brown in the back and a lighter brown in the front, and it turned out exactly like the pictures. I was worried that taking the black out would be harsh on my scalp and hair but it was done with ease and I don't have any burns or anything! She also fixed a botched haircut, styled my hair, and waxed my brows- again, she did such a great job. Everyone in the store was very professional and welcoming. It was super clean and the prices are great! If you're looking for a new salon, look no further! Needless to say, I'll definitely be back. Thanks tons McKenzie!!! read more
