This just confirms my belief that these house inspections are pretty much worthless unless your a complete idiot or blind and can't see cracks in a concrete foundation etc. Gave him three stars because he did find that the date on the water heater was 20 years old which I would have found had I not been over a 1,000 miles from the house and did the inspection myself. Probably a good idea to have an inspection if you're not at all familiar with construction or don't want to be bothered by going online and print out your own inspection checklist and do it yourself. My husband & I met with a Rep from Roof Lux in Jan 2021, signed the contact and paid our half-down deposit on Feb 6th...bottom line, we are still waiting on our siding... upon signing we were told we would have siding in about 4 weeks, about 4 weeks later we were then given a start date of April 9th, we received a call right around the projected April start date and informed that our siding hadn't been ordered yet...and that it wouldn't be here until mid-June. We spoke with our Rep about other options, we spoke with the owners about other options and were assured (it was the beginning of May at this point) that he could get it done & that the siding would be here in 3-4 weeks. We finally received a call that siding was being delivered last Friday (June 4th.) We then received a call that they would plan to start on Wednesday (June 9th) with a subsequent call moving that start date to Thursday (June 10th)...today...and unfortunately we haven't seen or heard from anyone. We have been working with Roof Lux since February, our check was deposited in February...it's mid-June and we still have no siding. Times are busy, the construction industry is swamped, parts are hard to get...we get all of that, however this is extreme and due to poor business practices, not lack of product at this point.

My toilet has been clogged since Saturday and believe it or not, A+ Plumbing were the first plumbers to even want to come out and check the clog. We are new to the area so I went to the Yellow Pages for info, since there were hardly any reviewed plumbers. I started on the first page and started calling for estimates. See all those BIG fancy ads on the plumbers page? I called four of the biggest and not one came out. The first one said "Call me back and leave your info, I'll be by this afternoon." Nothing, he never came, he never called. I had one of the biggest shops give me advice on how to unclog the toilet MYSELF!! Oh Lordy!! Finally, I took a chance and called one of the plumbers with the small ad on the second page of shops. Bingo!!! I talked to Dave the owner who said his coworker Mark, would be out shortly. AND HE WAS THERE WITHIN THE HOUR. Eventually, Dave had to come out and work on the access pipe outside the house and within 3hrs of my phone call, my problem had been solved!! A+ was incredibly professional, timely, neat, honest and fairly priced. I would never hesitate to call them again. 5 stars!!!
