Would rate a ZERO!! Came to my house once hardly sprayed. Called 13 days later said needed them to treat again said the had no appointments they will see me at my next service date. That was 2 weeks later. On that day no call no show! I call in here the rescheduled without telling or asking me. Canceled my contract would not give any reimbursement for horrible service. Called about rodents when I purchased home they came out and said I needed installation that would keep the mice from nesting also sold me an exclusion plan that they do not uphold, when I called the company to clean out the vent that was supposed to be done I was told by person that came out that he does not do that it's another person so it did not get done and it's been going on two years and still not done. Supposed to put down traps and check for mice and that has not been done but I paid them over 7,000.00 dollars. I guess I will need to get a lawyer to get this resolved. I have called since May to have someone come out to replace my mouse bait. I have had this Terminex service for 3 years. Plus I have had there termite service for 10 years and still can't get help.. I've had zero contact with this company since they charge me $10,000 to replace the insulation and seal up the exterior of my house. I have squirrels still getting into my attic. I've called Mike, Jamie and David with no calls back. I would highly recommend seeking a reputable small company. The reviews on yelp are more correct then on Google. I cannot get a single callback even after calling corporate. Worst experience to date. I would never recommend them to anyone. Now I have to hire an attorney to go after them. Great customer service, until you sign up! No communication when requesting an appointment, techs and inspectors do not show up or communicate when they are supposed to. Sales reps come out and misled you with false information. No one is willing to fix the problem, just schedule someone else to come out after they wasted your time, only to not have them dhow up again. Such a joke. Provide better service. Have truthful sales people, and don't charge so much for services to that you can't provide in a timely manner. What a shame! Do a payment plan with terminix for the attic, sales person states a price, until you look at your account and its $2000 more than what was quoted. Sales person says a specific type of installaton will be add, well that wasn't true. Sales rep said it won't affect my credit score, well thats a joke! I called today and the tech or inspector that was supposed to come out, apparently they can't even locate his information in the system. All I know is his name is Scott from the Bridgville / Pittsburgh area. Oh, and don't even get me started on the garage door sealing that was supposed to be done... they took my wood from my garage to try to barricade the mice from getting in, but also created massive gaps at the top corners of my garage. A few months into our service and I am extremely unhappy with the service and attention they provide. The tech who regularly comes to my house to do outside service is efficient, lets me know what he's done, asks if I have noticed any signs of pests or need and additional work. Today I wasn't feeling well when he came to the door. Today was my borough garbage pick-up day and the can was at the front. He noticed the garbage had been emptied before his arrival and before he left, he took the can back where I normally store it. That was so kind and unexpected. read more

Worst service ever. Originally called to have a squirrel living in my attic. They scheduled to have a technician come out and remove the squirrel. Promised me a full exclusion package to rid my home of all entry points for rodents and charged me $4000 for the service. They removed the squirrel and started the service only to stop half way. I called and scheduled numerous times to have them come out and finish the job. Numerous times they would have me on the schedule to perform the service and never show up. For 7 months I went back and fourth trying to schedule them to come out and finish the job I paid for. Reported them to the better business bureau only to have them say the best they can do is credit me once my financing is finished. Now almost a year later the squirrel in back trying to get into my house through the side they have yet to finish. Scheduled to have them come out and finish the job to keep the squirrel out, which I am sure will never happen. Better off just trying to catch and seal up the house myself. Could pay a few high school kids a few hundred bucks to do a better job then they did. Good ole bait & switch and overpaid unprovided services. read more

I am writing about the Bridgeville, PA, Terminix office. I do not live in San Francisco - don't know where this came from. DO NOT EVER USE THIS SERVICE. Check out their reviews on BBB first. They overcharge, don't even do the work you are paying them for, but get your credit card number and then charge it whenever they want. The customer service is a joke. They keep you on hold forever - hoping that you will give up, I guess. They have LIED too many times to count and scam and will do whatever it takes to make money from you, except do what you are paying them to do. Trust me on this! read more

Awful company with not a thought to customer service. We are on a recurring preventive treatment plan and have come to discover that only that bare minimum is done. They only show up when we aren't here and if we call with an issue we are treated like it's a hassle. Most recently we had a serious iss with a yellow jacket nest in our bathroom. I called to get someone out and they never showed. The next day they called us to take a survey on the performance of the technician! Needless to say, we have ended our service agreement. read more

I would absolutely rate them a zero, do not use this company. Terminix is extremely deceptive. The initial visit the presenter who left no name or business card, seemed confident and passionate and convinced me I had no choice and would actually need their service for life. Thank goodness I didn't agree to that, I signed up for a year or so I thought. The salesman lie and trick you into a digitally agreeing to service and they don't cover what they say they are going to do. They say they will call ahead to schedule service and then show up unannounced. You do not receive paperwork and then they will illegally set up financing for you with a third party that charges interest and doubles the cost if not more. I was in an obvious bind with termites and they take full advantage, they do not give appropriate details and explanations of both services and charges and then when you call for help they blame you and accuse you and refuse to help. They are deceptive and insulting. The company does not explain their charges, they will add to it and say it is what you agreed to and then offer no explaination or help simply tell you this is the bill you can pay it now or pay more through the financing you didn't agree to or allow in the first place. I agreed to $1100, for a years worth of monthly service for termites inside and out. They now say we don't treat inside homes, we only come once a year, and that I owe over $3400! We had our initial consultation with Daniel Lennon. He seemed very passionate and knowledgeable and we actually believed what he told us. That was our first mistake. Our second mistake was not calling and complaining about the terrible work the first two men did. We had caulk all over our house and door mat and mortar smeared on our chimney. Our third mistake was letting them come back to put on gutter guards. They did an even worse job and we have called them several times and emailed them pictures. We have a child with special needs and they know this. They left pieces of the gutter guard in our yard and didn't install it properly so there are gaps and in some places it isn't even screwed in. We were also told they would put traps in our house and this never happened. Daniel has yet to respond to us directly. He forwarded our email to another man named Jeremy. Jeremy agreed the job was done poorly and offered to come out and fix it. We do not want any terminix employees at our home again unless they are bringing us a refund. Now Jeremy is not answering his phone and he is not responding to our voicemails. We are a family that turned to Terminix to help us keep our daughter with special needs safe. They have failed. When we call to reschedule (an inconvenience) and they seem surprised that there is a note stating we prefer Saturday appointments and aren't sure why this happened every time. The latest event was yesterday. We were scheduled 1-3 on Saturday (after we rescheduled a service we didn't know about till we received a text), and at 11 am I receive a text asking me to rate the service. Hard to say since we weren't there and didn't know they were coming. The original tech didn't know who did it, said they must have assigned a different tech. And when we called the company they had no record of how it got rescheduled. The whole company is a mess. I asked them if they are looking to downsize or lose costumers so they could try and better service a few rather many. Maybe it's a business decision to scale back, but this seems a bad way to do it. After initially responding very quickly in May, we paid Terminix over $4000 to address some issues around our house, carrying a service agreement for any future issues. We've now called for SEVEN WEEKS STRAIGHT to have them address continued issues and have gotten no response from our local rep (Daniel) or the main Pittsburgh office. read more

Do not use Terminix, especially the Bridgeville, PA branch! I would give them "no stars" except I have to tell you not trust these people. When I refinanced my mortgage last spring I needed a form completed. The Terminix "salesman" arrived and completed the form with incorrect\misleading information then promptly sold me a $3100\3 yr service package for termites that he said would ensure that my loan go through. My loan would not go through! In fact, I was forced to hire a home inspector who could revise the form and attach an inspection report stating that my home was\is structurally sound and, in fact, does not\never did have termites. There are more details, but you get it! Now they have ruined my credit and the Bridgeville manager won't even take my calls! Very bad business! read more

We have been satisfied with the service from Terminix. I am particularly happy with our technician, Jeff. He is friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and interesting to talk with. He and the company are always more than willing to come out when we have a need even thought it's not a scheduled treatment. We see spiders, they come out. Very simple, like it should be. read more

The overall experience I've had so far with this company has been horrible. I initially called on June 24 about a bedbug issue I was having. They couldn't get me on a treatment plan for someone to come out to my house until July 16, which was three weeks later! At this time they told me that I had a very low infestation. I was getting bit at least two times a night on my face, my legs, and my arms. I called customer service three times to see if somebody could come out any sooner to do the first treatment and I was told the first time they didn't have anybody to send out, the second time a manager would call me back and nobody ever did. The third time I called the rep I spoke with put me on hold to talk to a manager to see if there was anything that they could do or if I can get a type of discount and he blatantly told her no they were not offer me any discount. They finally came out and did the first treatment and a week later I was still getting bit. They just come out today to do the second treatment while I was at work and my daughter was home. This was the same tech that came out the first time and he proceeded to tell my daughter that he does not see any bedbug activity in my room and it is psychological and basically all in my head. My daughter told him she physically saw the red itchy bites on my body the past few days. He continued to tell her it seemed psychological. They are charging me $1,700 for the service, which I think it's absolutely insane, because they're telling me they're not even finding any bedbug activity. I am a ten + year customer who has had enough of Terminix. They have changed much for the worse. Due to service lapses and blatant lying on their part I have cancelled them. Their service technician has missed scheduled appointments twice in a row. Each time, I called their 800 number to confirm that I had the correct time. The second time around, the tech actually called me to re-confirm the appointment time beforehand, but STILL was a no-show at the time of appointment, and then left a misleading message after he had missed the appointment that implied that I had the time wrong. I double checked with the call center. I had it right. Their 800 number is pure misery to deal with. I am routinely put on hold for five minutes or more at a time, multiple times per call, and while most of the call representatives have been courteous, the last one constantly interrupted me and argued with me (I am in customer service myself -- this is a habit that will kill anyone's business) and she blatantly lied to me when I requested that she not to put me on hold to call the technician but instead transfer me to a manager. She told me directly she was transferring me to a manager, then called the tech anyway while I held for minutes and minutes. Then she got back on the line and began to argue the tech's side of the story with me. Don't lie to me like that! Because I am not in the vicinity of my property, I have had to pay a person twice to go over to my property and wait for two hours while the tech was a no call-no show. The person I pay is a friend of mine, I am deeply embarrassed that I have twice taken him away from his family and wasted his time. I am not interested in trying for a third time! Ever since Terminix began to move more and more of their service to remote call centers, they have become more and more difficult to deal with. There once was a time when I could get through to their people at the office in Bridgeville PA. No more. While I was on hold at their call center, I was able to find a competitor online, pick up my other phone, dial him, speak directly to the service provider, and schedule service. Remarkable. And his price was lower -- much lower. Better service at a lower price spells trouble for Terminix. And my new guy will use the same traps and the same chemicals, and he is more responsive, easier to get along with, local, and less expensive. Terminix has paid a little more for a fancier website, but my new guy's website is professional, and contains links to the same information Terminix provides on theirs. Terminix has a revolving door of technicians. They come, they go. This is a problem for customer service, especially in my case where there are tenants involved to contact. Perhaps the most interesting thing of all is this: I recently had my property inspected by a certified inspector in preparation for sale. In the Insect Inspection Report section, the inspector found "No Evidence Of Past Treatment" Amazing. I am left now to wonder if all of the thousands of dollars I spent with Terminix over the years was for next to nothing -- if their techs just finessed my tenants most of the time like they tried this week to finesse me, and never did much of anything at all. After being lied to, inconvenienced, and being put hold for so long so many times, I am as frustrated and disappointed with Terminix as I have ever been with any vendor I've ever dealt with. This is only the second review I have ever written online, I am not a complainer. But in this case, I needed to speak up if only to save other people from this misery. read more

I spoke with the manager at the Bridgeville office who reassured me I would get my refund but still nothing. The man who comes to my house makes a mess of my daughters room when he wasn't even supposed to go there. I have had very little communication about my problem with pests. I called Terminix to come out to south hills area in PA for there free estimate. I was given a time frame between 1 & 3. Rearranged my entire day for this and the technician did not show up. Called the 1800 number and was told they were trying to find out why, placed on hold 12 minutes, never came back on the line, got redirected to a new customer service rep and again placed on hold 25 minutes later, with no apology for missed appointment or hold time was told they couldn't reach the tech and would let there manger know. So I asked if someone was still coming and was told yes but no time. Rep was rude and non apologetic. I told her to just forgot the appointment because if this is how they opperate nothing positive can follow. Do not waste your time or money with them, local smaller companies are much better to work with and reliable. read more

AWFUL!!!! If I could give negative stars I would!!!! I enrolled in the full home protection plan and was told that a technician would be out once a quarter, but if we needed them to come any in between those times they would at no additional cost. About 2 weeks after the first service, I noticed a few wasp nests under my siding. I called to setup an appointment for somebody to come and kill the wasps and was told that the system was down and I would have to call back the following day. When I called back, I was told that an appointment could not be made because they were too busy (for a paying customer)! I was told to call back later. I left messages 3 additional times, never had a call returned. Finally, I went and got a few cans of raid and killed the wasps myself (got stung on the head 4 times!). I canceled the service, but unfortunately not until after I was billed an additional $208 (they were too busy to provide a service, but apparently not too busy to bill me!). I have spoken to 4 people since then who have agreed that I deserve a refund of that $208 and each have promised to call me back within 48 hours, so far, it has been an additional 2 weeks and none of them have called me back yet, must be too busy again!
