I saw this spot mentioned on TikTok and I knew that my husband and I needed to check it out on our honeymoon. We booked a couples massage and this was a nice treat for a vacation. It's located near a very upscale part of Lisbon with a beautiful park so we enjoyed exploring that general area, the massage parlor itself was very earthy and calming our massage. Therapist were great although my husband's massage therapist was a bit sick and kept coughing so this took away from the experience which is why I'll have to takeoff one star. This is far from a spa and just a regular massage parlor. The massage I received from Jacqueline was amazing - hence the only reason for one star. Everything else? - zero stars. There is only one unisex 2-stall restroom in the entire facility which is inconveniently located upstairs from the treating rooms. There are no changing rooms, no robes, and no lockers for your items. My mother and I had to use the restroom during at some point during a 3 hour session. We were told to get fully dressed, gather ALL of our belongings, and carry everything up two flights of stairs to the small 2-stall unisex bathroom located on the 2nd floor. I asked why I needed to carry all my belongings just to use the restroom considering I'm coming right back and was advised that employees steal items. Why would anyone want to go to a "spa" to relax just to be worried that their items may be stolen by staff? In that case, should I peek up from my massage every five mins to make sure the massage therapist isn't rummaging through my purse or stealing my jewelry? It's also very silly to have clients lug around all their items for 3 hours as a solution to the staff theft concern. The nonsensical logistics made the "spa" experience not worth it .. at all. read more

I am a regular massage client. Twice per month near my hometown. My regular therapist is an excellent combination of technical expertise and supreme intuition. During my trip to Lisbon, I was experiencing increasing shoulder and neck pain/congestion, so I gave Terra Heal Massage Temple a go. A chose deep tissue/sports therapy massage and then scanned through the therapists who seemed most appropriate -- ultimately choosing Diego. WOW. Just -- wow! Possibly the best massage I have received in 10 years! And I love my regular therapist. But he was incredibly proficient. "Deep tissue" was accurate -- almost but not quite too much. I felt very much healed. I had to breathe through much of it, but the return was amazing! When I returned to the apartment I was renting, I immediately booked another 120 minute session for myself and my spouse. (We are coming back to Lisbon to fly home to California, so I jumped on the chance at another healing massage.) I could not recommend a therapist more enthusiastically! read more

I booked four services with Terra Heal, reserving online and confirming by WhatsApp as well because the website was tricky for multiple bookings. On the day of, 20 minutes before the appointment, a new number tried to contact me to supposedly "confirm" the booking and to say that the hot stones therapist wouldn't be available. That was precisely why I booked and why contacted them. The hot stones were the main event, the other three services I just thought I would try (abdominal massage, foot massage, ear pulling.) I'd been clear my schedule could be flexible, and they said no problem only to not be able to provide the 60 min massage. Worse yet, when I didn't respond to the message at 13:20 (because I was at a lunch), they canceled the WHOLE APPOINTMENT. I'd cleared my entire afternoon for this spa day, to work out pain and discomfort ahead of travel, only to get to Terra Heal, be offered tea, then be told I would have to come back at 19:00 or another day. Clearly they'd accommodated walk-ins instead. In person, Luís Moreira and company were very kind but the reception was very disorganized. Furthermore, in person, Luís and several walk-ins weren't wearing masks in a very very small waiting area. It didn't feel appropriate or necessary. The whole service felt unprofessional and I realized I was glad the booking was canceled. I will not be back. I've been recommended EcoMassage instead. I do hope this team learns to confirm all services 24 hours ahead so that therapists and times are clear on both ends. The relaxation and healing starts there. read more

It was average massage. Oil was cold. Ruth (my masseuse) seemed very shy / nervous. She kept me covered at all times in a see through cloth and massaged each part of my body separately covering me again quickly (for example my arm from shoulder to wrist...not including hand). Or half my calf at a time and not the feet. She didn't get a smooth flow and it was a little weird...it wasn't very relaxing. She didn't touch my neck or shoulders which was a pity as they are still stiff and I would have liked that. She also ignored the entire front of my body just focusing on my back and lower back (which I had said hurt) but randomly my elbow got the most massage time.... did weird fluttering gentle tapping thing on my face. Then charged me 5 Euros more than price originally quoted. Probably foreigner tax. Anyway, I won't be going back and I STILL NEED A MASSAGE!!! ======Update========= So, not to cause her any trouble or blow this up further, the masseuse contacted me via yelp message... She provided a number of important clarifications: 1/ Quality: Apparently, while I was asleep she: "did foot massage, I did neck, shoulders and hands. You feel asleep 2 times..." Good to know that while I was asleep (twice) I got a lovely massage :) ...pls see above for my waking experience. 2/ Cost: She clarified that the extra 5 euro was because she used oil during my hot oil massage. To use her words: "And definitely I didn't charge you with more 5 €. If you check the price is 45 an hour and +5 € if you want oil." It wasn't the main point of my review, considering that I normally tip and didn't...not a big deal. 3/ Accused me of lying.... I had strained my lower back from traveling and had to get the tension out so that I can continue to enjoy my vacation. I've seen great reviews for this place so decided to check it out. Pedro was by far the best massage therapist I have ever had. Before starting he obtained a brief history of my concerns to get a better idea on how he can help. He was so accurate in his ability to find the most tense areas and did an amazing job getting the knots out. He also asked what maneuvers were helping to maximize the massage. I felt very comfortable in telling him what areas needed more work which is a first because I normally just lie there in silence. The only comment I can make to improve the experience is with their online booking. I had booked another massage with Pedro the next day, however for some reason I had another massage therapist. I found Terra on yelp (thanks Yelp!) and they saved me. I pre booked a head, neck, and shoulders therapy session online and they were ready as soon as I arrived. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the gentleman that serviced me, but for this reviews sake I will call him Mr. Magic Hands. He found my problems spots immediately and without looking! He also told me somethings that my body needed that I had not been paying the best attention to which was very helpful. I didn't expect to enjoy a good massage in Portugal, but to my surprise found a most competent massage therapist here! And even more surprisingly, in a little tent in the Martin Monez sqaure! I have had some pain in my elbow. In the past when I mentioned this at a massage session, often the complain got ignored and at best I got a couple extra minutes of massage in that area. Here, the lady, Sorita, starts the session by asking you where you have aches and pains, and focuses her time on them. She doesn't just massage that area, but feels around several spots, asks me if it hurts, and massage along the tendons/muscles. Only the best therapists has the depth of understanding about anatomy to know that sometimes pains in hands, elbows and legs originate in pinched nerves along spine and torso, and know how to fix the issue at its origin. Sorita is one of those rare few, and she tailors each session to the need of the clients, and offers them tips on how to reduce the pain in future. As she is popular, and the massage is in an open tent with no privacy, I get to observe her working on others. Also, she works my spine so good; crack, snap, pop, and i feel so much better for days afterwards!! The massage was just 20 min but did more good than most hour-long massage. Sorita does Thai style massage on a mat on the floor. For chair massage, Luis is great. It's outdoors under a tent, music from nearby bands or cafes may not qualify as calm and tranquil, but the price ( €10 for 20 min, €30 for an hour) and the amazingly skillful therapists make it a five star experience. Bottom line first: This place is a must and Artemis (one of the massage therapists) is unbelievable. I discovered Terra Heal by chance, while visiting Lisbon for the first time in September 2018. As an ex-athlete and injured military Veteran, I have had a fair share and a variety of physical therapy and recovery massages (at one point in my life, twice a week); such extensive experience may thus have made me somewhat picky when it comes to massages. In the span of 2 days while in Lisbon, I received massage therapy on 3 different occasions (the first time, what is called the "4 hands massage", but each time with Artemis), but has planned to only go once. As for Artemis, to write that I was impressed is an understatement; she is very clearly a caring expert, both extremely attentive and precise, but she also has a very kind and calming demeanor that certainly contributes to her effectiveness as a massage therapist. As for Therapeutic Thai massages, I had no prior experience; I thus can only speak to the effect of each session, as delivered by Artemis and once paired with another Terra Heal massage therapist. I should also mention that, with many injuries over the years (only 2 considered severe) and my half-century in age, my body is probably tough to read; from my standpoint, it is not well-suited to "surface" or superficial massages. Artemis very clearly "cracked the code"; she explored the areas I had asked to get her main attention (namely, upper and lower back, shoulders and hips), identified its (greatest) malfunctions, and worked patiently, diligently, and meticulously on the core problems. She even made some recommendations of different stretches I can do on my own that may help (demonstrating again that she genuinely cared). I am honestly grateful for the massage treatments I received at Terra Heal (and Artemis in particular, but friends of mine had similar experiences with other Terra Heal massage therapists); if not already clear, I give Terra Heal my enthusiastic and strongest recommendation... I only wish it were closer to New York, where I live. P.s.
