However, it wanted an associate for approval because of the high gift card value. We then flagged down a nice employee and she cashed us out in the cosmetics area. It seems these folks really need to work on checkout speediness. The store itself is small and it does not have a big selection for certain items.

In fairness its really easy to remember me because I'm running in with a mechanic jump suit midday on my errands before 5pm. Remembering the cut off was 4pm, I quickly hurried from Staples with my FedEx package and then Canada Post with my other package. Canada post has the cheapest small package rate while fedex has the cheapest large package rate. I had 6 packages pre labelled and two envelopes that needed post marking. I showed up in my fine mechanics uniform and was remembered and chit chatting over why in the world I would go to New Liskeard. I love the speechless reaction and confused face (because I get it we need to google it). The seasonal stamps are so cute by the way, if you like christmas it's one way to celebrate it. In hindsight my package through fedex never made it +1 day and half of my six packages already reach destination +1 day (early) and my remaining packages will reach by friday which is really early. Hmm. Canada post have stepped up their game.

There is a $10 entrance fee per car, which includes the fee for a tour around the farm and a $10 voucher to the farm store which sells aromas, soaps, lip balm, therapeutic purposes, herbs, sauces and dried flowers. When I visited, I saw a bride taking her wedding pictures here. The tour consists of letting you view, sniff and feel the different types of lavender plants that are grown, walking by a large corn field as well as the view of 2 honeybee hives that are man made. The tour guide kindly gave a brief history of bumble bees and gave permission to visitors to gently touch the sides of the hive to feel the movement of the bees as they work inside the hive.

When I come here with my daughter, she says the same thing, but she occasionally can find something she likes. We've chatted with other customers who say the same thing -- it's not what it used to be. The store does carry a limited stock of "tall pants" -- getting harder and harder to find anywhere. The service is hit and miss. When it's good, it's *good*. "Marianne" knows the stock and is tremendously helpful. (When you visit the store, find Marianne!)
