They use Pablo and Rusty beans which I hadn't had before but I shall now be seeking out around Sydney if I can. The food was also divine! I had the pulled pork brioche which was mouthwatering. The pork almost melted in my mouth and the apple sauce on the bun was home made. They also have a range of delicious homemade cupcakes and cakes in a display case as you walk in. The white chocolate and raspberry and the cherry ripe cupcakes were the personal favourite of the barista so we had to try them and there were no regrets there. There's also a variety of local wines from the Gloucester and Hunter Regions for sale as well as on their menu. They seem to do tapas style foods at night which I can imagine would be a great treat! The big family knees-up dinner we had at this place was a 3-star good. It's a lovely fitout, dark and classy with an open balcony looking out onto the blue, blue ocean, as blue as ol' Blue Eyes' eponymous peepers. The North Coast is a luvverly place, but come the busy season I think they get casual staff in to deal with the demand - the lady we had did her level best but the Fawlty Towers theme music was playing somewhere in the background. The meals... well, there's an old Italian nonna in the kitchen saying "Ehhh, you too skinny!" because they are HUGE, like Hulk Hogan sized, just giant hearty servings. My garlic prawns were tasty, the salt and pepper calamari were the biggest rings I've ever seen, and really beautifully spiced, and the garlic bread and bruschetta were delicious too. The head of the table wasn't super keen on the lamb cutlets or the paella, which toed the risotto line and was caught in no man's land, but the T-bone got destroyed with vim and vigour. Even with the crowds it wasn't overly loud and very easy to hold a conversation. There are quaint knick knacks for sale and the whole place has a warm homely feel. I recommend this for a stop in Nabiac over the local servo. The coffee is okay, but needs more care and attention.
