They switched me to a different apartment at the last minute because the other apartment wasn't going to be "finished" in time for me to move in. No move in inspection form was completed other than a brief look around. After a deeper look these pictures show the truth. They painted over almost everything rather than replace things. The smell of all the paint was so strong that when I'd go somewhere people told me I smelled like alcohol. I submitted multiple maintenance requests that were marked as "complete" with nothing done because I (verbally) said I was moving out. Less than a week after I moved out this unit was listed for rent at a price of $250 more per month than I was paying. If you go to google reviews they have mostly 5 star ratings. This is because they give out gift cards to tenants in exchange for 5 star reviews. Although I only lived here for two weeks my neighbors bike was stolen, I had to call 911 because a fight broke out on the property and carried on into the street, and the smell of drugs (not weed) was all over the complex. I was never given a key to my mailbox. After all of this, they are still requiring I pay them to break my lease. It's clear the lease is just a guideline for them unless you point out the truth. Even then, it becomes a requirement for the tenant but not for them.

Love that we have mold in our windows now and have termite droppings from termites we had in 2022…read more(that they forced us to live with for a month). The windows are super old and always get moisture in them because they have yet to replace them with new windows even though the complex is over 40 years old. Reached out to the office to get this resolved on 3/1 and they closed my request and marked it completed even though the mold is still here as well as the termite droppings. They want us to live in uninhabitable living conditions but then have the nerve to increase our rent. They have someone named Angela Benjamin who works in the office 8-12 yet when we call or email she NEVER responds. The lack of professionalism is astounding with this company. Steer away from this mold and termite infested complex.

When we first signed our lease we were paying $2650 a month (utilities not included). At the end of our lease we all knew we wanted to stay another year seeing as we were in the middle of a pandemic and there wasn't much options to move. When we went to resign they raised the rent to $2750 which we figured an extra $100 was fine but a little unnecessary. Here's where it gets crazy! We're at the end of our second lease and they raised the rent to over $3200! And if you want to do month to month they want $3600!!!! This isn't Beverly Hills. It's in Ramona surrounded by en empty Kmart with a good amount of homeless. It's very sad!

We're in our sixties and needed a safe, convenient location to live that was affordable... and we wanted a Manager-Owner that was attentive to our needs (ie: repairs, questions, feedback etc). Silverado Apartments is all of that and more... especially since there is a new owner in Sept 2021. The Manager at Silverado is helpful, caring, outgoing, funny... and goes the extra mile to not only help us but, to help all of our neighbors at the apartment complex. Whenever we need something repaired, fixed or replaced, it's a simple call and it's usually done within two days. We've had problems with our apartment "bouncing up and down" when neighbors go up and down the stairs (it's an old complex) and the Manager is also communicating the problem with the new owners and making plans to have it fixed. Anytime there is a problem with the neighbors with noise (you know how kids are) or there are problems with noisy dogs, the Manager is immediately contacting the dog owner to solve the problem. Are we satisfied with Silverado? You bet we are. Thank-you for the great service!

I know what you're thinking, we're loud and disrespectful, etc... Wrong! For context, my wife and I follow the rules, we're quiet, go to bed early and we obey every policy. Yet we still find ourselves waking up to crude messages about the stupidest things. For example: just be mindful about the public street (you know the street owned by the city of Ramona), she'll threaten to tow your vehicle if parked for more than a day. Be sure to seek permission if leaving town for more than a few days and have your excuse note handy if coming home past 10pm ... (okay I made that last part up, but wouldn't surprise me). Anyway, HOA's have less restrictions than this complex but in the end it's a nice place to lay my head at night.

Both my son and I asked these kids to move and not play there anymore at least twice a week or once a day. It did not matter. No parents to be found anywhere in sight. And when you can't find the parents, you are forced to contact management. But she did next to nothing, & problem never went away even until the last day that I lived there. I'm not a young woman who can easily go upstairs anyways, and having to dodge a gang of unwatched rowdy elementary kids is not only dangerous for someone my age, it was totally unnecessary. I'm pretty sure that kids defacing and leaving slippery food products on your staircase qualifies as a lease violation. But no one cares, especially the manager. Who, is not actually a property manager at all, she is a lazy inexperienced "quik-hire" who the owners stuck in the position because nobody else wanted the job. Then there's the issue of excessive noise. Its gets so loud with fighting kids at shadow Glen, you'd think you just moved into a troubled youth camp. They don't play. They argue! And these loveable tykes yell as loud as posible from the time they get off the bus, until the sun sets. No parents. No Management. Zero supervision. My son tried parking his car inside the apt-complex parking lot, and it was hit by a scooter twice. Manger asked if we had proof, and even though I watched the kid hit my car, we didn't have around the clock surveillance on our Subaru, so the manager said we could not prove it was damaged at Shadow Glen. If you need a quiet and comfortable clean and affordable apartment in Romona or close to San Diego, this is a GREAT spot. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. My wife and I read them and don't agree they have any valid basis since Caroline has really turned the property around. If you have cockroaches in bed with you, they are obviously in your apartment because they found something they want to have more of (food). Clean up after yourselves haha. And others have reported their things going missing and they return home at night to see their door is unlocked. One tenant lost her cat due to him entering her home without permission.
