However, the lingering trauma Palisades Fires brought me to Michele's doorstep for EMDR which she miraculously used to lift the trauma. But so many other things were happening with my family that I continued seeing her and she is a lifesaver. I paid a $7,650 upfront deposit as instructed in order to coordinate an intervention for my mom - something I was told needed to happen "immediately" because she was at her rock bottom. After several emotional phone calls, I trusted Angela's guidance and moved forward. Ultimately, the intervention never happened because my mom wasn't ready. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of follow-up, support, or any offer of a partial refund, despite the fact that nothing was ever carried out. At the time, I was 26 years old, paying out of my own savings, trying desperately to help my mother. Instead of feeling supported, I was left feeling taken advantage of, financially and emotionally. I understand that not every situation goes as planned, but the absence of integrity, communication, and accountability in this process was devastating. What isn't obvious is that, when you're dealing with MD's or PhD's who have ADHD themselves, while they may understand the condition really well and have good advice, they STILL HAVE ADHD and it really impacts how they run their operations and conduct themselves in their dealings with customers. The front desk rarely returned my calls and I found out they only hire a part-time college student to run the desk. One of the docs (unnamed out of respect) gave me their cell number and instructed me to text them to set up appointments. Four texts and six weeks later, NO RESPONSE. It was very, very frustrating. I ended up walking away from the ADHD relationship... for me, it was just too hard to deal with an ADHD boyfriend and ADHD counselors when no one around you was very reliable. Their online 'club' for ADHD Couples Success is similarly disorganized and while the webinars are decent, the customer service is also ADHD-plagued or non-existent. There were times when the online videos didn't work -- initially, when I signed up, I was charged nearly $100 and the entire site wasn't working, WTF, they charge $47/month, for what? Chat rooms and videos were non-functioning and the site is really just a souped-up wordpress page that isn't really robust enough for what they say they offer. Webinars start at times other than advertised so you'll get spammed with email about participating in a live webinar only to log in at the proper time and find out it's already ending. Very disorganized and confusing... again, those running the operation have ADHD and haven't put someone in charge to run their enterprise efficiently. Bottom line, the info is good, but the hard work you have to put in to get that info makes it almost not worth it.

I don't know if going above and beyond the call of duty is par for the course with her, but she did with me. During the time I was seeing her she was booked up, so don't be surprised if her outgoing message says "I am unable to take new patients at this time."
