The most mid , underwhelming makeup on my wedding day. I posted on a wedding facebook page looking for hair and make up in the area, I got so many responses and offers, but went with Terri Reece for her experience, which was a mistake. We had a phone consultation in which I said I wanted a soft glam, in which she responded "okay that shouldn't take too long" which was a red flag, that she was judging my look on how quickly she could fly through it. I told her I am a MAC girl that loves a look but nothing too over the top (Kardashians 2016) all she heard was that apparently I wanted a natural basic look which I would absolutely never want. I told her my budget and she agreed, but then consistently brings up that she gave me a "discount" , it's not a discount if we are in agreement on a price point, this "discount" is then used against me and am made to feel like i should just "get what I get" and not dare make her do anything above the bare minimum. I get there on the day of my wedding to her cold dirty salon and she is doing my makeup with absolutely no precise, doing everything as quickly as possible, the whole look, I could've done myself probably better. I have gotten my makeup done so many times throughout the years and this was by far the most disappointing I wouldn't care nearly this much if it wasn't my wedding day... my hair is a frizzy mess, I keep asking her to add more makeup in which she keeps referring to our phone conversation telling me I want a basic look i'm not sure why she would tell me what I can get on my wedding day, if I told her on my wedding day, I actually want all my makeup to be blue It is the makeup artist job too fulfill the vision not tell me what I can and cannot get. I know she is going to respond with some excuse for how it's actually my fault my makeup looked bad, just like she has done with the other bad reviews. Terri is EXCELLENT best I've ever been to I came in with brassy blonde that needed a major color correction she really stepped up and was able to do a beautiful blended root smudge and platinum blonde highlights. What a frustrating experience all-around. She didn't listen to what I plainly asked for (with photo references), then tried to tell me I was seeing things when it came out entirely another color. Very hard to believe that Terri is a experienced colorist. I've never been so disappointed in 20+ years of getting my hair done and had to spends hundreds more elsewhere to get it fixed. *update to salon response* I was a client and I saw you, Terri. Not yelping under my real name is a privacy safeguard. You're correct, most salons would fix the issue, but you argued with me over a fairly upsetting and obvious mistake that was 100% your fault and very difficult to correct. I first start off by saying this review has nothing to do with Terri or Terri Reese studios..But unfortunately this particular ( stylist) works with in Terri's studio, So I have no other choice but to write my review here since the stylist works independent but works in Terris Studio. Now my complaint. I made an appointment with Sara ( hairbysarabella) (I found her on Instagram) On Feb 26th 2020 via text Since she only excepts appointments by text. I made the appointment for APRIL 9th 2020 . Sara had me take a picture of my hair and asked me my hair goals. We texted back-and-forth she also said that she required a $75 deposit. I was absolutely fine with this, so I gave her my credit card for her to charge me to $75 to hold my appointment for April 9th 2020. On March 11th 2020 (Wednesday) I had a doctors appointment with my doctor , he advise me due to the outbreak of the coronavirus that I should not go into public places and be around people since I am a severe asthmatic- I let my doctor know that I had several appointments with cashmere where I normally go for my facials/ eyelashes and I had other appointments such a hair etc. he told me I'd rather be safe than sorry and I think you should just cancel them and wait to see if this goes down it could be three months it could be a year but I should cancel now since I do have a asthma and this could be a very big threat to me.. So the next day on March 12 (15 days from the time I made my appointment with Sarabella ) mind you my appointment is not until April 9, 2020. 27 Days before the appointment. I contacted her via text and said I need to cancel my appointment. Sara asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I said not at this time because I have to wait it out to see what happens meaning I'm not sure when this virus will go away when it's going to be safe for me to be able to go into public places around people. Sara said OK great thanks for the text.. I than asked when will I get my $75 deposit I don't want to make another appointment now ,I'm not sure when it will be safe and since you're not gonna be doing anything on my hair I would like my deposit back for April 9th 2020 - Sara told me well it's nonrefundable too bad.. policy is policy..But Sara didn't know I took a Screenshot of her cancellation policy that was posted 43 weeks ago on Instagram witch stats( "CANCELLATIONS I require a 48 hour notice of cancellation to be able to fill the time slot, if I book out more than five hours with you for your appointment to be able to reschedule in the future I will require a 30% of your service for the deposit necessary to reschedule thank you emoji smile face ) I sent her a screenshot !!!! SARA immediately went on Instagram and deleted that policy and added a new one which I screenshot that as well.. Sara is literally holding my $75 deposit which she is not even going to touch my hair ever!!! it is almost a month in advance that she is able to my slot.. she's a lair , a fake and fraud... #1 I never Signed any documentation stating that the deposit was nonrefundable .. #2 she never once mentioned it in the text massage when taken my deposit that it was nonrefundable.. #3 she took down her original policy once I asked for my Deposit back and then put up a new one (she can't make the rules up as she goes along). #4 so unprofessional when I asked for my deposit back and I said if she does not give it to me I'm going to go to all the social media outlets - she said ( go ahead lady I have deposits that I personally pay for things that I don't get back) Sara has since DELETED all her policies on her Instagram page... Thank God for screenshots.. especially since Sara has blocked me from texting her and all her her social media. I HAVE everything for my case . I have contacted my bank , I have contacted the app that she took the money from I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and the next I am making a police report because she stole my money.. I am willing to take this to court if I have to because my lawyer said it's a breach of contract. I have every screenshot and every txt msg. Sara is even now going around saying I am slandering her but the proof is everywhere that she is a thief. read more

They recently worked together to do my sister the bride, her five bridesmaids and both mother of the bride and mother of the groom's hair and make up. They were fast, efficient, professional, upbeat and overall wonderful. They traveled to the hotel venue for our convenience (it was an extra charge but worth every penny!) Terri is friendly and honest. My previous hairstyist trimmed my hair and caused some frizz, so I consulted with Terri to see if we should do blowout/extension to tame it. Terri checked my hair and said that there was no need, and both methods are costly and won't help much. She chose not to give unnecessary, costly treatment to client (she would have made $300 otherwise). She also helped me to choose some hair oil products instead.Thank you Terri!! Terri is a rockstar! She did my hair/makeup and my 6 bridesmaids hair/makeup for my wedding May 23rd. I was going for a really natural romantic look for my hair and makeup and I was so happy with the outcome. Very soft and pretty. I was thrilled that she was able and willing to come to our hotel suite the morning of and do us all up. I was a little concerned about timing and having 7 people's hair and makeup done before noon so she brought an assistant to help her. Honestly she probably could have done it all herself in time. I just want to say that Terri was wonderful! She did my hair and makeup for my 8:30AM wedding. I am so glad I found her! She not only was flexible and worked with my schedule, but she was so nice and worked with what I wanted. I had what I thought I wanted for my make up when we did our trial, but I discovered that that look didn't really work well for me.
