I got a Groupon and she was quick and not as painful as previous waxes I've had. She was friendly & it wasn't awkward at all. I would book with her again! Macey did my hair last week (she's moved to another salon since) but she always did a great job. Before Macey was doing hair at this location I got my 1st Brazilian, from a different esthetician- I think named Ashley? Here and it was a great experience too. I was very disappointed in the quality of service for my daughter's wedding day bridesmaids appointment. Only one technician showed up for 7 ladies that had booked either hair, makeup (or both). Another tech showed up 30 minutes later, then another after that. We felt rushed & stressed, getting to the venue 45 minutes late. Additionally, the salon was not in the best shape, not very clean, & had broken mirrors. And at last minute, they had changed our aptmt to their other location "Four Letter Word". I would not recommend this place to future customers. read more

Alexa made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I am super picky about my makeup and I told her exactly what I wanted and she made it look so beautiful. I danced the night away and my makeup still looked amazing at the end of the night! She also helped my bridesmaid put on their fake eyelashes which was a huge help. She gave me a little touchup kit that really came in handy. She also did my hair, and if I was rich I would have her do my hair everyday. It has never looked so good! I was nervous about loosing the curls by the end of the night but it never did! I received many compliments and would recommend her to anyone. read more

5 year client I have had lash extensions since shortly after Kiss and Makeup opened. I have never had a single issue with my lashes. I average 3 weeks between fills, sometimes this is sooner depending on the growth of my natural lashes. Alexa's work is rock solid. People always ask if they are natural, but if they know like are lashes they ask who did them. Occasionally we will strip them down and put a new set of lashes on. I am happy to report after all these years my lashes below remain healthy and un-damaged. Alexa also did the makeup for my wedding and has done makeup for me for other events over the years. Her makeup is always spot on. Alexa's work looks good, but it also photographs beautifully. For my wedding my bridesmaids and I used the salon to get ready. The ambiance was fun, I felt very relaxed and comfortable. Jen Barlos was my wedding day stylist, I have never had anyone be able to whip through my extremely thick hair so quick with a curling iron. Jen is a seasoned pro for sure. Both Jen and Alexa provided me with backup hairspray and lip gloss. I felt like these were great touches. Alyssa has also done my hair for a special occasion and she was the bomb! Every time I have had my hair done by the KAMU girls it's lasted into the next day even through sleeping on it. Alexa also tackled my husbands brows for our big day. She was able to clean him up without making it completely obvious that he had his brows done. Brides I strongly suggest bringing your groom in for a cut and brow wax before the big day. Kiss and Makeup is really a one stop shop. Sure they specialize in weddings and special occasions, but they also kill it as a salon in general. These ladies have a passion for an industry that is not always easy. Alexa (the owner) is one of the hardest working people I know. Watching her grow her business over the years has truly been amazing to watch. It seems like just when she has a perfect team, another talented lady joins the team. I can't wait to continue to watch Kiss and Makeup grow. read more

They were also incredibly flexible as I wasn't able to get my trial done until right before the wedding because I was planning everything out of state. This was the second wedding in our family that we used Kiss and Makeup for. Makeup and hair was one of the first items my daughter arranged, but Kiss and Makeup was so busy that they couldn't get her in for her trial hair and makeup until just 2 weeks before the wedding. My daughter didn't like how the makeup looked (lashes a little off and eyeliner not even) so she decided to do her own makeup and let them know within days of the trial. The night before the wedding we were texted that we needed to pay in order for the girls to come the next day to do several bridesmaids hair and makeup (even though the contract says pay "day of service" and we were charged $100 for late cancelling of bride's makeup. The contract said one month in advance, and she hadn't had her trial then! I couldn't really fight that the night before the wedding, so I paid. The hair and makeup girls who did hair and makeup were great, nice to chat with, worked quickly and did a good job. I challenge the owner of this business to give that $100 as extra tip to those girls (Alyssa and ?) for the wedding on 9/11/21 at 11am. They deserve it, not the owner/administrator. read more

Since my initial cut, I've had both my young kids hair cut, husband, and another male friend. She went to barber school so she does a great modern haircut for men. I went to kiss and makeup for my bridal hair and makeup, as well as my bridesmaids/MOB hair and makeup. When you schedule bridal services you are assigned a two hour time slot - regardless of the size of your party. There was one person who did all five of our hair and although she was very nice, two of my bridesmaids ended up redoing there hair after paying 70 dollars. My slot was from 12-2 and because there was only one person doing everyone's hair we all felt very anxious about the time which did go a half hour past our slot. The person who was supposed to do makeup (which is also the owner) was also very nice, however, she didn't even show up at the salon until 2:15 (15 minutes past the end of our time slot) which caused me a GREAT deal of unnecessary stress on my wedding day. She did send in two trainees to do everyone else's makeup since she obviously wasn't going to be able to, and they were very nice and were trying to reassure me amidst my anxiety level. She did take off 50 dollars for being late but It doesn't change the level of stress that she caused me on my wedding day. The level of professionalism from the owner I felt was very poor and they desperately need to change their two hour time slot policy, especially if there is only one person doing hair and one person doing the makeup. read more

If there were a less ant one star I would choose that. These people did their best to ruin my daughters wedding day. They booked a 2 hour appointment to do 5 peopleS hair and 3 make up. They had one person to do hair, She was nice, but clearly tired and did an awful job on 2 of the brides maids, they had to re do their hair. The make up people came in late, all we heard about was how tired they were, we were their 6th wedding that day. No one congratulated my daughter. They did nothing to make this day special for us. The person (the owner) was 2 hours late to do the brides make up, came in without even an apology. We were soooo over charged for the service we received. I would NOT reccomend anyone plan on getting the type of service they deserve on their wedding day from this establishment. The prices are ridiculous, $70.00 for a 20 minute hairstyle that any of us could have done ourselves. Luckily the rest of the day went great and my daughter felt as special as she should have from all of the other vendors. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more
