Terry Bradley: is a Belfast born and bred artist who has gone from strength to strength in recent years. His work tends to concentrate on figure painting; portraying strong, individual females (he's inspired by the Belle Époque in France and the Burlesque dancers of New York.) He recently designed his own bag which is a must have for his fans! Going back in years, his older works include a range of Belfast's working men; such as the famous dockers of the Belfast ship yard.
I'll leave it for you to review his work yourself, personally I'm torn, some of his pieces I LOVE (see New York Doll, Belfast No Mean City, Lucky, La Belle Epoque & La Belle Epoque II) but on the other hand some of them I really dislike, loathe even (see: Angel Heart, Rock, Movie Star, Movie Star USA) but each to their own, some people I know love them so I guess it's a personal thing.
Terry exhibits internationally in such locations as Spain, USA, London, Belfast and Dublin. His next Belfast exhibition runs from 7th October 2010 at the Eakin Gallery on the Lisburn Road and runs for two weeks. Terry is also a Patron of the Sailortown Society and a Patron of Age Concern, he supports other charities including the Marie Keating Foundation and Marie Curie Nurses. read more
