We drove two hours on a Saturday to look at a vehicle after specifically asking about its condition. Before our visit, the dealership sent photos showing a hole in the bumper and told us the bumper would be replaced. However, the photos did not show the numerous paint chips on the vehicle, including at least one spot that was already beginning to rust. When I pointed them out, I was told that a touch-up paint pen could be used. Needless to say, I wasn't interested in trading in my well-maintained vehicle for one that was in noticeably worse cosmetic condition than advertised. Since we had already made the drive, we looked at a few other vehicles and found one on the Ford lot that had just arrived from a Canadian auction the day before. We began discussing a deal, but ultimately couldn't agree on price. I won't comment on whose bottom-line number was better, but there were several aspects of the process that raised concerns for us. First, the document fee was added to the listed price. However, when reviewing the "price details" on their used vehicles, that fee appeared to already be included in the advertised price. Second, part of their offer involved purchasing the vehicle with "no service." This was confusing because we're told all vehicles go through service. If that's true, I would expect that cost to already be reflected in the advertised price. More importantly, why would any customer want to buy a vehicle that had not been serviced and inspected? Third, when we asked what the total would be if the service was included, we were quoted $277.50. While that may be the retail price charged to service customers, it is difficult to believe that's the dealership's actual cost for performing the inspection. We were still considering the deal at that point, but things went downhill from there. When we asked whether any issues found during the service inspection would be covered, we were told, "It depends on the issue." That answer did not inspire much confidence. Additionally, even though it was close to closing time, we were told they could still complete the service inspection within 45 minutes to an hour. That seemed questionable given the importance of a thorough inspection. Finally, the salesman repeatedly told us that at his "final offer" he would only make $100 on the sale, and that he had sold another vehicle earlier in the week and also only made $100 on that deal. Whether that's true or not, that's not information that should influence a customer's purchasing decision. It felt more like a sales tactic than a meaningful part of the negotiation. After a couple more comments along those lines, my husband stood up and walked out, and I followed. We don't mind negotiating, but transparency and honesty are important when making a major purchase. I have my 2017 Jeep Renegade broke down on the side of the road, and noticed I have lost my tow bar. This takes a small tow bar that screws into the Jeep to tow. I asked Dylan at the dealership for a loaner or to rent one, until mine comes in, and he stated they did not do this. LPK in Defiance we glad to help, so someone cares about their customer. I do not understand not helping a customer in need, so with this in mind, I will not be using them for any future service or purchases. Customer service is no longer on some businesses radar. Purchase a car here with my fiancé end of last year of course they said I had the 100 point inspection. It looked great a beautiful 2016 Audi Q5 with low miles. We trusted the sales rep And Terry Hendricks, took it on his first road trip, got there and found out it needed brakes all the ways around, of course the warranty only covers transmission and not wearable parts. Oh sorry we find out that it needs a front drive axle which it needed all along... If we would done a simple inspection we would've found these items prior to buying, but trusted sales rep saying that it went through a full inspection there prior to it coming onto the lot. I called within 2 hours and asked if I could return it and even offered to pay several hundred dollars for the companies inconvenience. Was told the company doesn't have a return policy the email went on to say. "I am sorry if there was not more research done on your end" I have the email. The tale of two service departments of two different dealerships. I had vehicles being serviced at separate dealerships today. One came to my workplace and picked up my car and took it for service and returned it to my workplace in time for me to drive it home. The distance between my job and the dealership is about a 15 minute drive. The bill for the service work was in the car and of course I plan to pay in a timely manner. My other vehicle I dropped off the night before the scheduled date of service. The next day the service was not completed due for the lack of parts. We made due without a vehicle for a night. The next day the service department informed me the repair was complete. I asked if they could deliver my car to my home and leave the bill inside the car. This dealership is maybe a 2 minute drive from my home. I was told they would look into if that could be done but the car could not be released until the bill was paid in full. In the past this dealership permitted payment a day or two after service but on this occasion I was told the owner has made it clear a car is not to leave unless payment was made in full. Not having some $650 readily available we will be without a car for another day or two until payday for me. This is nothing more than how 2 different businesses operate. To each his own, I get it. Unfortunately this business approach of the dealership 2 minutes from my home will push me in a different direction in the future. Do not go to this place! These people are ridiculous. My husband was going to purchase a car from Terry Hendricks sales man was nice but the our is something else. Takes cars a ranks miles on . We saw a SUV online for with 13,000 miles and then when we went to the dealership it had 15,666. Salesman said they had to pit the Xtra miles to get certified. Hmmmm then found out the owner Terry Hendricks to is for road trip out of town with it. Then came back to say my husband had great credit 720 but couldn't get the SUV because not enough credit history. My husband has had his credit for 3 years so that did not seem right. This place is a scam and joke. I went the next day to another dealership where I was approved for a brand new car and got it! Terry Hendricks is a joke! Ridiculous! When the lockdown and economic downturn suddenly had me looking to potentially purchase a vehicle several months before my lease expired, in hopes to catch a good deal, I had VERY low expectations of service and integrity--based on my absolutely HORRIBLE experience at a Chicago dealership with said lease a few years ago (before that I had been carless for nearly 14 years #citylife). Much to my absolute shock and delight, not only was my experience with THCDJ (particularly Alex Zimmerman) NOT bad, it was...wait for it...legitimately pleasurable. That's right, dealing with THCDJ was actually an outright enjoyable exchange--from the first outreach to the final signature. What a relief!!! I'll tell ya, if it weren't for the fact that they're 200 miles away from me, they'd likely have my loyalty for life just based on how great that experience was (and I'm not just being biased because I'm so in love with my new Jeep Compass). 10/10 would recommend! read more

I took my daughter to terry Hendricks for her first car she picks out a 2007 Ford Edge which they said they had put breaks and rotors on before buying it she decides she wants it well after a few weeks not hearing from her she was scared to tell me her car was not right and boy was she right!!! After I take it home and get closer into it every tire had the wrong lug nuts and the rear hub was shot after they had put new breaks on they sold an unsafe car BBB of someone should shut this place down before someone gets hurt now mind you we have brought new and used from them and used there service dept before this is not acceptable for a dealship of any kind!!!! For my very first car buying experience, I purchased a used trade in car from Terry Henricks in July of 2016. I paid in full that same day and drove off of the lot in that car. The license plates were taken off of my old car and put on my new car. I was told I would receive a title in the mail after 7-10 days to register the vehicle and transfer the plates. A month went by, and I did not receive the title nor hear from anyone at Terry Henricks. When I called to inquire, the woman stated, "Oh yeah, we don't have it. I forgot to call you." I drove around for that month with illegal license plates. They eventually sent me a temporary tag while I waited for the title (and a second one after I called to let them know the first one was expiring). During this time, I, as well as my dad who had purchased multiple trucks from this dealership, called to talk about the progress of this situation. Often times, there would be no call back, and we ended up talking to 4-5 different people trying to get answers. Three months later, we came to the decision that this needed to be taken care of, and I was presented with three options. 1. Wait for the title. 2. Trade in for a different car or 3. A full refund. Ideally, I wanted a trade in because I needed a vehicle that day to be able to drive around. I told them I wanted an equal or greater than value for all of my hassle. I was offered a car with more mileage and listed for less than what I had already paid, and that was the only offer they could make me. Annoyed at this, I asked for a full refund. We agreed on a time, and my dad and I went to the dealership to pick up the refund. Granted we were just there for a check, but we were there a whole 5 minutes with barely an apology and no remorse for the situation that I was put through for my first experience with a dealership. The excuse I continued to hear was, "this has never happened before." However, I should not have been sold a car that they did not have a title for, more effort could've been made to satisfy the customer, and the lack of communication made an unfortunate situation an even worse experience.
