The guys who came to do the moving were nice, lovely, attentive, polite. As soon as I pointed out some of the things were fragile, they told me: "We treat everything as fragile" and that's true! Not everything was packed properly by me but it all arrived perfectly intact. They took exactly the time I thought to load/unload, they showed to me how everything was secured in the van, then I went on the van with them to the new destination. They even wanted to place the boxes in separate areas in my new flat! No need really, it's a studio flat... All they asked for afterwards was to quickly wash their hands, I even offered them a drink (it was bloody hot and still they didn't sweat a bit!) but they kindly refused, off to the next job. Also, they asked me to go and check the van before they left, to make sure they haven't left/stolen anything. I would've paid even double for such a service!

Horrible experience. I moved from abroad last June and…read moreduring the move they damaged my house. Furthermore some items were broken or had missing parts. I took photos of the damage and their foreman signed the report and pictures. Before they left, their head office promised to come back with their suggestion on how to fix the damage within a couple of days. Since then nothing, they have completely ignored emails, phone calls etc. What a disgrace. Be very careful and just stay away!

I e-mailed the company my enquiry over a Saturday on a bank holiday weekend, and a man from the firm - Westley - called me the following day to clarify some details and offer me a quote which included the cost of having them come up to my flat and bring my old furniture down to their truck. They were also able to come promptly (within a week) which made my mind up when it came to selecting which service to use. On the day itself, I had a call from Westley to confirm what time he could be at the flat, and - this is important - he turned up on time too! He was friendly, came up, got the job done. One item was too large for him to bring down by himself, so he broke it up in my flat, and cleaned up after. I couldn't really ask for anything more! I'd definitely recommend Away With It to anyone who needs a lot of junk carted away. I know the Council offers free services, but they don't offer help when it comes to getting bulky items down!
