We were unsure if we should drive on as we waited for the next sailing. As it turned out you need to wait on land and be instructed to drive on. It took next to no time to get all the cars on and aligned. Sailing was calm and uneventful from a ferry point of view. From my point of view the sun was shining and a dolphin jumped out of the water a few times. Lovely :) It appears to be a seasonal service, so double check that its running before you turn up. Foot passengers and cyclists are accommodated too.

If no one there, ring the bell for service (you may have to wait for somenone to come over to the counter to deal with you!). On road parking, usually spaces, outside, but it is a narrow, dead end road, so can be a bit akward to turn in unless you turn immediately in front of the gates to the sorting office (and run the risk of annoying postvans trying to enter/exit).

Ireland, London and Scotland and this was by far our favorite accommodation and surroundings. There are various apartments to choose from - ours was a nice 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) with small living room and kitchen. The complex is small and well maintained, perched above beautiful Whitepark Bay and surrounded by grazing land and sheep. We found the kitchen well stocked with cooking tools, the beds comfortably made, and nice towels hanging over the radiator - a welcome sight for slightly weary travelers! The closest town (a few min down the road) has a good sized Co-operative Food to obtain provisions. There was so many beautiful things to see in the area and a nice home to come to at night. Well pleased!
