The largest of teh Tesco stores in Aylesbury, has a good range of clothing, footwear as well as electrical items (tvs etc). It also has a pharmacy at the back of the store. I usuallu use the smaller Tescos on the other side of town and do find this one rather large and tiring to go around but it does make a change once in a while. There are alot of tills and we have never had to queue too long when going there, it has a huge car park and a petrol station.

Now seeing as this is an amped up Wal-Mart, you can safely assume they have anything and everything here. I bought many groceries here, but they also had clothes, adapters for my tourist self, makeup and personal care items, liquor, magazines & books, tons of electronics and related items, home goods items, baby items, gifts & the cards to go with them, and toys. Plus I saw offers of cell phones & plans at checkout, seems they also have check cashing and other currency services. I personally used their ATM located just outside the doors millions of times to get some dinero. I found all the prices to be reasonable and workers were always quite friendly to me. They have a nice self checkout! Definitely my go to shopping spot while in Milton Keynes and I know I'll have many more visits when I return later this year. It's also a fantastic source of frozen fish other than your bog standard cod or haddock, such as red mullet. There's a good vegetable section although if you know what you're cooking in advance some of those ingredients can be found cheaper elsewhere (most of the major supermarkets sell mooli (long white radish) and fresh ginger nowadays). If you're someone who's careful about best before dates then it's worth checking them first on some products here as they can sometimes be a bit close.

But when I first visited this store, I was very impressed. The store almost seems too big for the number of customers, there always seems to be plenty of room to get around. The selection of non-food products is extensive, although I still am very choosy about what I buy, & closly inspect the quality of items (particularly clothing). I get the impression that this store isn't as busy as it's size requires it to be, so there seems to be a higher percentage of discount/clearance lines. We've used this store for christmas shopping over the last two years, & I truly believe we've got excellent value for money.

I really like the atmosphere of this store; they sell good quality meat and very nice cakes, which I am always tempted to buy as a treat. Their online shopping is of a high standard when they arrive they have boxes one contains frozen food the other chilled ect they come into your home and practically pack everything away for you. If you get any items substituted on your shopping list you get a better version of what you ordered and your money back from the item you originally ordered. There is plenty of parking outside this store and it is free for 2 hours, so plenty of time to see what Waitrose has to offer.

This is not a superstore. Just a small one, like the size of a Tesco Metro maybe. They don't accept American Express. But come on. Who cares really? There are affordable alternatives to every expensive brand in the market. Be it chocolates, biscuits or breakfast cereals (actually a lot more, but I'll just stop here). I've heard some of my friends say that ALDI's milk doesn't last as long as what is written on the can, but I'm yet to find one like that.

As you would expect from discount supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl, you do have to queue for a while because there are only 1 or 2 members of staff at the checkout and you do need to bring your own shopping bags, otherwise Aldi can charge you. Also Aldi do not accept credit cards as payment, only cash and debit cards. We might take all these things for granted in other supermarkets, but Aldi do this in order to help keep their costs down and pass some of lower costs down to us customers. Overall, Aldi offers better quality food than Lidl.
