Sorry, but cannot recommend this Supercharger. I left as soon as my car charged enough so I could get to the next closest Firebaugh Tesla Supercharger north of here. What makes this place difficult? - Shady characters and cars in the parking lot. - Pervasive urine odor in air. (Maybe due to the cow or dairy farms in Bakersfield?) - No amenities except for an IHOP, gas station, restrooms. read more

Skip this charging place. I didn't look before we stopped but the charging is soooo slow! It's showing about 65kw while charging.

2nd time I have had to charge here and the same stall, 2B is broken. Location is great with amenities and I like that it's close to the freeway exit and but wish there were better updates on which chargers work. read more

Two stalls were out of order. Luckily the chargers weren't too busy, but the adjacent gas station is very busy. Charging was very slow.

Small supercharger location, easy to find with only 8 spots. We were lucky to get a spot without waiting. Located in the parking lot of the E-Z Trip pit stop and next to an IHOP, can't miss it. You can stretch your legs here and grab some snacks or a quick bite to eat. The only bad thing about this charger location is the ridiculous single lane to get back to the freeway. OMG! read more

There are no Superchargers for pulling a trailer. Bummer!!! They need these m. My daughter and I are driving from Bakersfield to Phoenix Arizona. Stopping every 124 miles will take us 3 days and we don!t know how to unhitch. HELP anybody ???? What can we do,? I don't want to use a gas car. Worse super charger in California the charges don't work and their is a line here because only ten chargers.

Approx 10 chargers with a bathroom at the food locations...Nothing worse is having to stop to charge and having no bathroom....so would charge here again! read more

Second time I've been here in a row where it charged at about 5 miles per hour. Even changed stalls. Both times I just went on to the next supercharger down the highway which worked at expected speeds. Not sure what is wrong with this station. read more

This supercharger is co-located with an IHOP! There are ten 120W chargers here and then there is that IHOP... I can do pancakes in the middle of the night while I charge. They also have a nice clean bathroom. If you are try to decide between this supercharger and Buttonwillow, six of one and half a dozen of the other. Best to go with the one with the most open chargers available... but there are pancakes 24/7/365 here... just sayin'. read more

Gotta love a Supercharger that is a stone's throw to an IHOP! This is a nice stop between LA and San Francisco with pancakes, crepes, waffles and everything you love about breakfast a few steps away. Maybe try the Moons Over My Hammy! Yum! There are 10 stations with fast charging at about 306 mi/hr and 86 Kw maximum output. read more

Visited this supercharger two weeks ago. Decent place to stop for 30 minutes if you're making the trek up or down the 5. An IHOP is conveniently located 40 steps from the supercharger, along with a gas station and a convenience store. The IHOP is connected to the convenience store which has easily accessible public restrooms that did not require a key to enter. Simple, but good for a quick and easy stop. read more

Clean and empty when we came but it was like 7am Friday. Charging was really fast probably due to the fact we were the only car plugged in. I really liked that there was a 24 hr IHOP right there so we could go in for breakfast. I have to say it's one of the cleaner and nicer IHOPs I've ever been to, so that was especially nice. It's also attached to Gas station so if you need anything, their little store is there for snacks or drinks or whatever you need. read more

Ridiculously slow. I don't understand how this is a level 3 charger. Try to plan so you don't have to use this charger.

This is probably the worst Tesla Supercharger location off of Interstate 5 in the Central Valley. It's always full and it's laid out in a way that forming a line will most likely block ICE vehicles from accessing the gas station pumps next to it. My most recent stop here reaffirmed my believe that this is the worst location off of Interstate 5. It was 104 degrees and there was an hour plus wait for charging. In fact, so much so that someone started a numbering system so that people can go into IHOP or park in a spot without fear of losing their place. I waited for 30 minutes before noticing the next station down the road had a few openings and decided to move on and drove slowly and as efficiently as possible to reach the next stop. My suggestion is, if you don't need to stop at this location off of Stockdale Hwy, don't. The next version 3 chargers off of Copus Rd, while there is currently no services available will offer a better charging experience or try to make it down to the next location going north. This location should be a last resort location, especially since it's a version 2 and I believe some are still version 1's. read more

First time stopping at this charger and there were only 2 other Tesla's here around 1:30pm and there are a total of 10 stations. It's in a Shell gas station with a convenience store and an IHOP if you're hungry. Nice place to stop. read more

Visited this Supercharger in Bakersfield going south on the 5. A Shell station employee was wiping the dust off the Superchargers. I did notice that the Superchargers are always shiny and clean and wonder who maintains them so especially in remote areas. Now I know. There is an IHOP across the way and the banos are in the 24/7 snacks shop next door. Gas was $3.49/gal for the 89 octane at the shell station. Free charging here! One unpleasant thing aside from not having shade above the cars in the hot sun were the million of flies that swarmed the car while we were charging it. Not fruit flies or gnats but actual flies. So many that even the mouth breather in our group had to close his mouth haha. There is also a set of Supercharger in Buttonwillow a few miles away with a decent BBQ joint, which sounds like a better idea if you need to add eating to the rest stop. read more

Clean charging station, got up to 90kw for my Model S . Two gas stations for quick stop

This was the only supercharger I've been to where it didn't work! We were able to charge only 15% in 50 minutes there on 4/23, thankfully that was enough to make it to Kettleman City and fully charge there. Hopefully Tesla will fix this supercharger. read more

A clean, remote location with a bank of ten SuperChargers with very limited services. It is a remote outpost but a helpful station to stretch and utilize washrooms. read more
