Drove into Charging station 4, by the time I connected & tried to charge, it showed CCS unavailable. The EA app did not show unavailable, so that was annoying. BUT, charging station 1 was open. Well, of course as luck would have it, as I disconnected someone pulls in & starts charging (Mercedes). A Kia EV was already on Charging 3. Hubby and I were hungry, so we decide to head to Fullerton for dinner. Called ahead, Stubriks had no wait so we went for steak dinner. 1.5 hrs later.....we returned to try again. We were shocked and surprised to see the Kia and Mercedes were still there. Still charging. 1015pm finally, the Kia leaves so we got station 3. Omg so slow, 64 kW max charging speed. It's going to take 43 min to charge from 19% to 80%. Location is good because it's next to Brea Mall and access to freeway is close. The charging speed was atrocious, surprised to not even see this station on Yelp so I went ahead and added EA Brea Mall.

I also enjoy the food court area since there are a lot of dining options to choose from, and the whole area is usually kept pretty clean. The only downside for me is parking. This mall is almost always busy, so finding a good parking spot can sometimes take a little patience. Even with that, it's still one of the malls I enjoy visiting when I'm in the area.

There weren't a lot of seats for this big mall. They should add more benches to the outdoor grassy area and some shade. It's a really posh mall since their renovation. There's a bus stop located in front of Macy's parking lot, which you can travel around Orange County with the OC Bus and SGV with Foothill Transit. A bit of a five minute walk to the stop, but the buses are convenient.

I tried it and although the pandan flavor could be a bit more strong, I actually really liked it. You can taste the pandan but it's very subtle. I know that pandan itself has a very subtle aroma. Even when you have it in Asian desserts, its flavor is usually very faint unless it's the artificial stuff. I would order it again but maybe ask for a little more of the pandan syrup. My husband ordered the salted caramel latte and I tried some of it. It was so good! He really liked it too. I liked the foam with the salted mocha (?) powder stuff on top... it was so good. Espresso used in the drinks were of good quality and a nice dark flavor. Interior is really cute too. Reminds me of the cafes in Korea. It we lived in the area I would come here often. It's hard to review a BEV (battery electeic vehicle) charging station. I mean, there's nothing to…read moreit since it's all self serve. So as for the quality of the charge, I got 42kW out of 50kW rated and charged my 2021 Leaf from 59% to 92% in 35 minutes. And that was great. Mind you, the other charging station, Trinity, has spotty performance, so this based on Seth (the chargers are identified by name). But the number of BEV haters out there and just plain ignorant people are another story. I've seen SUV's parked in the charging stalls and multiple people, including an elderly woman driving an ICE Hyundai just leaving their empty carts right in front of a charger. I pointed it out to the lady and told her I'd gladly move her cart and she replied, "I don't know what that means (meaning the charging station)." The Walmart staff didn't seem to care either because the carts blocking the non-BEV spaces were collected, but the ones blocking the charging stations were left behind... Haters? Ignorant? Maybe. Illiterate and can't read? Possibly. Convenient and quick? Definitely.

John was able to get out to us within the hour, jump our 12v battery bringing the car back to life, then charge us up enough to get us to a Supercharger. Given the risk associated with towing EVs, we were so thankful to have found this alternative. John kept us updated on his arrival time and was super friendly throughout. This newish charging station right off of Colima and Hacienda is state of the art (for now)…read more Unlike older EVgo stations, this one has 50kw charging and the chargers, itself, are quiet. You don't hear that whirring noise as the fans turn on and the transformers engage. It's simply quiet. The displays are better, too. There are 5 spots and unfortunately, some of the patrons to the local businesses don't get the whole EV charging station parking thing... or they're haters. But for the most part, I was able to get a spot the 5 or so times I've been here and the charging is really quick and quiet. Word of caution, the chargers are in the Baskin Robbins parking lot... So while you're car is charging, you might be gaining calories, as well.
