But getting my Volkswagon fixed at Sam's was literally the best car repair experience of my life. I just had to write a review because it's SO RARE to find a quality, honest mechanic like Sam! We were due for our 100,000 mile maintenance and needed some preventative service done. We were visiting Uniontown had to leave in a few days -- but Sam was generous in fitting us in during a busy week. He did a lot of research to find the parts we needed, fast (and cheaply) and gave us a solid quote (which was much cheaper than anything we would have found where we live). When we came to pick the car up, Sam was thorough and walked us through everything he did to the car. He showed us the parts he replaced and told us about some additional issues the car had that he simply took care of for us. He had checked our previous maintenance records and left us with some great tips and pointers for how to best take care of our particular type of engine. He told us how one prior mechanic messed something (small) up on the car and told us the cheapest way to fix it once we were back home. The total matched his quote exactly and we were so impressed with the whole experience. He was careful, efficient, polite, professional, totally honest -- and very, VERY reasonably priced! If you ever need a mechanic in the Uniontown area, this is the guy.

So in 2022 I took my bike there for them to check the valves because they have never been checked, the valve cover was NEVER off the bike and to see if they could fix the hard starting problem. Come to pick up the bike and was told the valves were good no adjustment was required and I was told my battery was bad and they installed a new one. Well that never fixed the problem got home and bike wouldn't start again and they are an hour away from me so I gave up on having them try and fix it again. Ended up being the starter bendix I figured out and fixed it and let it go that I got a new battery installed and didn't need it. Well since then I haven't rode much due to me purchasing a side by side. Recently started to ride my bike again and went to install a manual cam chain tensioner and so I'm the second person to ever remove the valve cover and come to find out they strip one of my bolts that hold it on that got into the head. Well I was pretty upset because this bike is in perfect shade and would have never thought a professional shop would strip out your bolt on your bike. Called to see if they could get me a new head for my bike and really got no where was told to Helicoil it . I paid 300 for the original service and battery and now they said well since you spent that we will credit that and pay another 300 for the new head so I would be 600 into this and that's what new head cost so I have to buy the part and they damaged it. Long story short I will never have them do any service on my equipment or recommend there services again it's extremely frustrating to take your bike apart 2 years later and find out they strip my head. I understand it's 2 years after they worked on it but I owned this since new and never had that cover off and I'm the second person to take it off and discover a strip head with a striped bolt. My opinion I feel I should have a new head for there mess up but they don't want to do that. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING THAT A PROFESSIONAL SHOP WOULD DO THIS AND NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

I have been using the same mechanic for a long time, and leery to try someone new. I usually will…read morehave my son's car towed home for any service or repair needed. However, this time I gave in to his plea and decided to try Summer's. I figured if I didn't feel comfortable with what they suggested I could just tow it home again. Summer's didn't disappoint. The check engine light was on and AutoZone did a code check which came up as the purge valve. It would have been easy for Summer's to just agree and do that repair. However, they were very honest and upon inspection found that there was just a lot of corrosion and a few wires that needed replaced. So they just cleaned up the corrosion and replaced the wires. Also had them do an oil change and inspect the serpentine belt and power steering belt (which was fraying). Serpentine belt was good and the power steering belt was replaced. All in a timely manner and for an economical price. My son said his car has never driven smoother or sounded better. I would highly recommend them for your auto repair service.

When I arrived, I was impressed with the number of RVs waiting in his lot for attention. My Vanlife Tech Siesta system (Bend, OR - FAR away!) would not fire up. Greg was not familiar with it, and several calls to my van outfitter were not returned. Greg was tenacious in his research and attentive to my descriptions and concurrent research. It took until after-hours, but I have lovely heat and hot water again. Greg said, "Give me enough time and I can fix anything." TRUE STORY!

Do not trust your vehicle with Fike's Service Department. I recently had my 2014 Silverado truck in…read morefor a recall and the Fike's service representative said the windshield washer bottle was leaking; but, the repair would be covered under the 3year/36K bumper to bumper warranty. They scheduled an appointment two weeks later to replace the container and even called to confirm the appointment a work day before. After I spent the time (1/2 hour each direction, two people, two vehicles) to drop it off, they called to inform me they did not have the parts to complete the work. Another 1/2 hour of our time in each direction to pick it up. Upon picking it up, Fike's service representative said they would call when the part was in. I did not hear anything for two weeks so I called them to inquire about the parts and they confirmed the parts were in and scheduled another appointment. Another 1/2 hour in each direction to drop it off. This time the Fike's service representative called to say the service was not covered under warranty; but, the truck would be ready to pick up at 4:00 PM. Another 1/2 hour in each direction and when I arrived at 4:30 PM, the windshield washer sprayer was not working. They said their technician had left for the day and I would need to bring it back for service again. I took the truck home and after taking the fluid container off of the firewall myself, I found the windshield supply line was pinched between the container and firewall. This took me an hour. So after I spent 9 man hours, 8 equipment hours and $295 in parts and labor, I have a shiny new plastic container screwed to my truck firewall!
