It helps to download the EVgo app in advance so you're ready to start as soon as you get there. The app also has a rewards program and plans that can help you save and avoid the transaction fee. The stations can be a little tricky to get started, but with some finagling, I was able to get connected and start charging. There's a book store and grocery store right next to the charging station, as well as a lot of good restaurants and shops. It's nice to be able to walk around and do some shopping and get a beverage while waiting for the car to charge.

Realized I'd…read moregotten low so we decided to hit this location up, and it was my first time using it and first time I guess for it to be added to Yelp. It's behind a Sheetz which is a bonus, I used a 150KW slot for our car as we can't take advantage of the 350KW and. I will say I discovered that for our car the last charger on the left side (150KW/Chademo) the slot the charger is and it's design doesn't work if you have a driver side front charging port (Audi Q8 or Chevy Bolt) and the cord didn't reach, so had to move to the far right charger. Worked great, got our 20-80% (62 kWh) in 28 minutes and hit a max of 146 KW (rated 150KW on charger). Since it was a new vehicle, didn't cost us anything. Great value from our perspective and plus got to buy road snacks inside the sheetz. Seemed to be a well used location at one point had two Ioniq 5s and a VW ID.4 there, a Rivian R1T drove buy but must have kept going since we were all there.

As a Hilton Honors Silver member, they do not offer complimentary bottled water. They use a "green initiative" reason about reducing plastic, but still sell bottled water for $4 each. They do have "refreshing stations" with still, alkaline, and sparkling water, which is nice--but you must bring your own bottle. To me, if guests are spending their money with Hilton, a simple bottle of water shouldn't be too much to offer. Another major inconvenience: valet-only parking at $30 per day. Since it's downtown, you really have no choice but to use their valet unless you want to hunt for outside parking. The valet team was cool and friendly, but it's still an extra cost--plus you have to tip every time they retrieve your car or tip at the end of your stay. That adds up quickly. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms are very small. Tiny dorm-style fridge No microwave No iron or ironing board, only a steamer Just not the level of comfort, space, or amenities I'm used to in the Hilton brand One thing I did like is that Tempo is connected to Homewood Suites, and you can choose where to eat breakfast. Homewood Suites offers a complimentary buffet-style breakfast, while the Tempo side has a café and bar where you have to purchase your breakfast. The café staff, bar staff, and most of the front desk team were very nice--no complaints there. But overall, between paying for breakfast, paying for parking, paying for water, and tipping valet every time, this stay was more expensive and less comfortable than it needed to be. This was my first and last stay at Tempo. It's simply not my cup of tea. I'll be sticking with Embassy Suites, where I get more space, better amenities, and the level of comfort I'm used to.

You do need to be a subscriber of the Shell network in order to use the charger. I did not see a way to activate it without plugging in and then using the Shell app. And because I'm not a Shell subscriber, I don't know how much it costs. While you're charging, there is this fabulous Wegman's to keep you busy. Food, ready-to-eat stuff and they have a wifi. I do not believe it reaches this far into the parking lot.
