I implore you not to deal with Tesol Training. They will take your money. Do not make the same mistake as me. This is my story: I'm going to preface this story by saying that I'm a positive person. I don't like leaving bad reviews unless I'm absolutely compelled to. Sadly, this is one of those occasions. I signed up for the In-Class Tesol course back in December 2015, for a course to commence in February 2016. I was excited. I was scheduled to head to Asia that year, and I was hoping for get on the right track for a teaching position in Japan. Eagerly, I awaited for the course to commence in February. February came, and I arrived at the venue where the course was scheduled to start. I waited patiently for the instructor to arrive. After one hour, nobody came. Confused, I called Bryan Whitman to get the run-down on what was happening, only to be told that the class had been cancelled. No warning. No email. No phone call. Nothing. Just like that. I was deeply upset. This was the one opportunity I had to secure the TESOL certificate before heading to Asia. This is where it gets worse. Bryan, assured me he'd refund me the money (in lieu of taking an online course, which I refused). It is now Sept 2017 (two damn years later), and our $1000+ has still yet to be refunded. Multiple phone calls, emails and attempted Skype calls and I've yet to receive a single dollar back from the suddenly cancelled course. I know you may see this course as a cheap/er option than whatever else is out there, but after having dealt with the company, it's no wonder why. Other reviews have had the exact same experience. In the summer of 2014 I decided to find a way to teach English abroad. In my search for a way to get a TESOL certificate I found TESOL Training International. I made the contact with Bryan. At first I was sceptical, I had read about so many bad experiences concerning getting certificates in general from all over the world. I didn't know if this was the right company for me. After talking with Bryan on the phone, chatting via SKYPE and numerous e-mails, I signed up. It was the best decision of my life. I ended up doing classes via SKYPE from Las Vegas. Even though I couldn't do the classes with other students or in a classroom I feel it went really well. Once it was time to start looking for a job Bryan was there helping me get my resume out and answering my questions about the schools I was talking to. The only reason I give it a four star rating is because once I was hired by a school, there wasn't very much help from Bryan or his staff when it came to the paper work. I know some of this was to do with the fact that I wasn't near the office, I still felt a bit abandoned. In the end I was able to figure it out for myself. I was hired to teach in Shanghai, China and that is where I have been for nearly two months now. I do recommend the school to other would be ESL teachers. Even though I felt doing the SKYPE classes worked for me I recommend you find an actual physical school, I think it helps a great deal to be able to work alongside others who are learning what you are learning and you can get more help when it comes time for the job itself. read more

I heard about this school through friends and was intrigued. I have some experience with different language schools in San Diego and this one is leaps and bounds ahead of the others I encountered. The class itself was extremely helpful and educational. I thought I was going to be bored out of my mind but that is not the case. Bryan's teaching processes will keep you awake and, dare I say, entertaining? After your classes, essay and final exam you must pick a specialty. Keep in mind, this class is not as easy as i thought it would be. You will have to put in some time. Here's a great place to learn how to teach people by using English. Before I started the class, I've never thought that I learned a lot .Even though I'm a foreign student , the time I took the class was really memorable. Actually , I didn't think about difficulty to teach before. After I finished that course , I realized it is obviously tough. And then I think teacher , Brian , is so great teacher. He is funny and makes us pay attention during lesson. Above all things , He taught us how to be a good teacher. This course is good. Bryan Whitman does not teach in a traditional way, he is straight up front with you and tells you exactly how it is.
