The rooms are big and spacious, the spa therapist is very good. Maintenance is very bad. No air conditioning anywhere but your room . Manzanillo is super hot and humid, I went this November and watching the show I was drenched with sweat, so uncomfortable, no fans or air conditioning at all in the whole hotel! you will only have air conditioning in your room and the gym, the restaurant is open and flies are all over your food. The beach is near people that come and eat and leave all their garbage! I am a beach lover and hate that the people in Colima leave all the garbage at the beach, the sand has oil. read more

For the amount of money we paid we were pretty underwhelmed. the food wasnt that good everything was watered down and bland. the elevators here are the worst part of the trip. they stop at every floor even though no one calls it. it was fun but definitely not worth the money. read more

The place is beautiful and the rooms were clean. My only concern was the food. They did not seem to take care of the food considering it was out in the open and flies would land on it. Not sure if this was a result of them not taking much care of the food but I found a dead maggot in my pasta. I'm not the type of person to complain about my food/orders when mistakes are made but this was much more so I'm making this review to raise awareness of what I found in case someone gets sick. I didn't want to make a big deal about the maggot when I found it so I just let the server know and I left. I do recommend the seafood in the stands on the beach to the right of the resort. You have to pay for it but it was MUCHHHH better! But yeah other than the food, the resort is beautiful, I'd just recommend eating elsewhere... read more

This hotel is very average when it comes to resorts. First impression was bad, front desk staff was rude and incompetent. Check in was at 3pm and our room reserved over a month ago was not ready. The buffet included with resort was actually great and the staff there was also great!!! Pool was too warm for summer and kiddie pool was dirty. I have been to Barceló and las hadas and this by far is #3 .. beach is nice and has easy access.. rooms are decent I got an ocean view master suite and view was 5 stars but cleanliness was NOT ! The couch in here has weird stains and there were no towels in rr. Will NOT return .. was very disappointed I expected much more. Oh well.. read more

Stayed here for 5 days... The staff was nice and pleasant. We got an ocean view room with amazing view of the pool and beach. The only great thing about this hotel is the location of the beach. Beach is clean, calm, and great for families. Now for the cons... Givin we did get to the buffet late it was still disgusting! They had nothing but scraps. Old hard quesadillas, warm old pasta salads. Fruit was old, the drinks were small and had to keep refilling and they had no bottled water. I walked out luckily I traveled with protein shakes. My family did stay because they were starving. Better off getting a taxi and going out in town for some authentic delicious tacos and Mexican food which we did there after. The pool was nice until we seen what appeared to be vomit. We seen maintenance come and throw something in the pool to dilute it. Freakin nasty!! We spent the rest of our time at the beach which was much nicer. Another complaint is maintenance used leaf blowers to clear the patio at 11pm so annoying! Now for WiFi you can purchase WiFi per day but it only works in the first floor lobby area which is not worth it. read more

I wish I would have read all the reviews prior to staying here. This is possibly the worst hotel I've stayed at with the highest rating. The service, food, beach, rooms, are all atrocious. You have to pay for Wi-Fi but can't get it in your room, you have an old bathtub with jets that don't work. If it rains you get puddles in your room. When you complain they look at you like your out of your mind. I mean, this place is ridiculous. I've traveled throughout Mexico and stayed at places with far worst rating but with much better........everything. By the way, it's 100 degrees and there is no place in the entire hotel with AC unless your in your room. They won't let you check in until 3 pm and you have to sweat until 5 pm when you get your keys finally. read more

First of all, food is terrible here, the food gave my mother food poisoning. Second, the service was dreadful during my visit. Reception check in took about 45 minutes, table service with a bad face and terrible attitude. This is far from what you expect from a pricey hotel. I have to start by saying that the beach the hotel has is one of the top three beaches we have visited, clean, calm, and beautiful. This is why the rating is a 2 and not a 1 star. The hotel is average; the rooms and facilities in general are a bit dated and could use some TLC. The service was average except for the day we left. We drove a car onto the property, the car some how had a flat tire and no one notified us. Security indicated that they reported the flat twice. It was a hassle to fix especially since we were not alerted until we asked for the vehicle after checking out. The hotel did not try to do anything to accommodate us while we waited for repair company (2 hours) and the tire had to be replaced because it appears that hotel valet staff drove on flat tire with no air. read more

Staff was rude, unfriendly and unaccommodating. This surprised me as all of my other experiences in Mexico have been quite the opposite. We cancelled our reservation and found a much nicer hotel for the same money with lovely staff and facilities. (Camino Real, also in Manzanillo.) Not sure what the problem is with this hotel, but I was not the only one requesting to see the manager. There was another family there who were trying to get their money back because the hotel was dirty and the buffet food unacceptable. Felt like we dodged a bullet. This is the most disappointing and sad hotel. As soon as we got here the worker at the front desk had a nasty attitude, after check in time we were told our rooms wouldn't be given to us until they were ready, which was not until about an hour later. When we got to our rooms to shower there was no towels and the shower was broken, we were given 2 master suites which we were told had two beds per room when truly it had a sofa that converts to a bed and one master suite only had the view of a parking lot, they had also told us that since we missed the buffet hours we would be given dinner after hours as we arrived to the buffet we were told that we would only get 15 minutes to pick up our food because they were closing down. After asking one of the very kind workers at the buffet if we could talk to his supervisor he arrived, while talking to the supervisor he had a very bad attitude and he was ironically laughing in our faces, while talking we asked him if we could talk to someone who was ahead of him and he said yes but he said not until tomorrow so we asked when we could talk to that person and he said not until 9 am tomorrow as we were asking him about talking to someone else we also asked what the persons name was and he refused to tell us for some reason. To end this all when we asked for a refund we were told our money would only be given back for the day we were here for when we had reservations for 3 days. In conclusion do not come here. read more

As others have mentioned outdated is right and service is poor at BEST. Pay your staff better to give better service, rude waiters and condescending concierge. Will never return and think twice before coming back to this city. Better stick to Cancun, Mazatlan or Ixtapa read more

Hotel Tesoro is an average hotel it isn't great but it it has the amenities needed. The entertainment is great their all inclusive buffet is alright but their alcoholic beverages are weak. Their staff is incompetent when we arrived it took us about an hour or longer to get a room. When we finally got the room and tipped the bell boy the key to the room didn't work therefore we went back down to the lobby with all of our luggage's we explained that our key was not working. The guy gave us a lecture on how to open a room with a key (which we know how to) lol the problem was that they had already assigned the room to somebody else. Literally, they gave us a room that was already being used by another family we took pictures went back down and showed the people in the front. No apology was offered they just gave us a room a few doors down they were obvious that they didn't want their colleagues to find out. I was amazed by how unprofessional they were. We won't be staying here again. read more

Horrible staff and horrible hotel. Manager, Miguel was rude and unaccommodating. There was so much noise from guests partying all night that we had to switch rooms twice. After being moved to the last room and not getting any sleep due to the guests partying directly above us, we checked out at 4:30am and left the resort altogether. The food was also really bad. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. read more
