The decor is thoughtfully displayed with attentive staff willing to help out. It's smaller than a larger national home store and it feels like walking into a home. The decor is ever changing and current with design trends. The prices are very reasonable. They have been open in Eagle for just over a year and we love this local gem.

But mostly because the woman manning the store (yes, I did intend that to be a pun) didn't bother to ask if we were looking for anything or if she could help us. This in spite of the fact that there were only two other shoppers in the place, so not as if there was a crush. Given this is newly opened within the last several months, maybe they are still learning the customer care ropes. But they have a lot of competition in the area as resale stores go so one thinks they'd be interested in top notch help for both buyers and possible consigners. We were in for both reasons, actually. I'm shopping for accessories for particular home location. And I have a hand knotted, vegetable dyed, Pakistan originated, wool area rug that I'm hoping to consign. They did have some rolled rugs standing in the store, so it may be they would take mine. But since the person working there ignored us, only a cursory hello in response to my "hi" to her, I think I'll continue looking for both consignment and buying. Ending on a high note, the place is spotless and some of the accessory items look as if new. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Once you get in the door, the store is all on one floor with mostly ample clearances between items. But the parking lot here is another of many Boise area examples of parking that does not meet Federal ADA rules or Idaho Accessibility Building Code minimums. Neither for scope nor for design. However, that failure is the the strip mall owner's and not the store's. 3) NEIGHBOR: At the other end of the strip mall you'll find Model Home Furnishings which is recently under new ownership. You'll get a great welcome and helpful assistance from the women working there.

We have purchased 4 large cost items from People's. 2 of the 4 were 5 star and involved…read moreappliances. The other 2 involved special order furniture and both times the delivery time was longer than expected or promised. On April 4th we ordered a bedroom set that we were told would take 8-12 weeks. On July 7th we were told it was on the truck enroute from Pennsylvania. On July 28 we were promised delivery no later than the 2nd of August as the truck was due on 7-31 or 8-1. Matt promised that it would be delivered Friday or Saturday depending on what day it arrived. The freight wasn't delivered to People's until Saturday morning. By the time delivery is finally made it will have been 18 weeks from purchase to delivery. After calming down I realized that the problem didn't lie with People's primarily. The reached out and explained the situation and satisfied me that they did their best but the delivery from manufacture to them was out of their control.

It was wired wrong from the get-go and didn't use cold water. Most of the time service was good, but there were a couple of disappointing times over the years. I was conveniently in the area today all by myself so I made it a point to check out this charming store! As soon as I parked my car, I knew I was going to fall in love with this store. Everything set up on the front porch was completely stunning. Everything was strategically placed and thoughtfully decorated. It was hard not to buy all the outside pieces cause of how beautiful everything was staged. I need to front of my house to look like this front porch. This store is just stunning. Country chic decor is the way to my heart. The flowers. Aged furniture. The flowers. The small details and delicate placement of everything. It was all breathtaking. You truly have to walk slow throughout the store so you don't miss anything. I found a couple brass candleholders that caught my eye. They were so pretty but a tad bigger than I would have liked. The sweet associate guided me back to an area in the back that I had already checked out. Of course I didn't walk slow enough cause I missed the most perfect set of brass candleholders. I also found the daintiest glass candleholder that was a glass bird. I found some smaller candles that would be the perfect addition to the candleholders. I was excited to add these beautiful pieces to my home. Besides the candles, I also found a gorgeous print that I'm going to place on my living room wall that I'm redecorating. It's been fun curating all these beautiful pieces and it was great that I found one here. I look forward to finding the perfect frame for this picture. The gals that were working today were all kind! Stores like Sweet Tea Living could be a hit or miss with customer service. I have been ignored at some local joints in town. It's sad to be treated like that when you're trying to support a local business. Sweet Tea Living is complete perfection from their customer service, the venue and all their fabulous goodies. I felt so welcomed here. I'm so happy I finally got to make my way in! I look forward to coming back soon to find more beautiful treasures here.
