The decor is thoughtfully displayed with attentive staff willing to help out. It's smaller than a larger national home store and it feels like walking into a home. The decor is ever changing and current with design trends. The prices are very reasonable. They have been open in Eagle for just over a year and we love this local gem.

But mostly because the woman manning the store (yes, I did intend that to be a pun) didn't bother to ask if we were looking for anything or if she could help us. This in spite of the fact that there were only two other shoppers in the place, so not as if there was a crush. Given this is newly opened within the last several months, maybe they are still learning the customer care ropes. But they have a lot of competition in the area as resale stores go so one thinks they'd be interested in top notch help for both buyers and possible consigners. We were in for both reasons, actually. I'm shopping for accessories for particular home location. And I have a hand knotted, vegetable dyed, Pakistan originated, wool area rug that I'm hoping to consign. They did have some rolled rugs standing in the store, so it may be they would take mine. But since the person working there ignored us, only a cursory hello in response to my "hi" to her, I think I'll continue looking for both consignment and buying. Ending on a high note, the place is spotless and some of the accessory items look as if new. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Once you get in the door, the store is all on one floor with mostly ample clearances between items. But the parking lot here is another of many Boise area examples of parking that does not meet Federal ADA rules or Idaho Accessibility Building Code minimums. Neither for scope nor for design. However, that failure is the the strip mall owner's and not the store's. 3) NEIGHBOR: At the other end of the strip mall you'll find Model Home Furnishings which is recently under new ownership. You'll get a great welcome and helpful assistance from the women working there.

Had I written a review based on my 2015 experience here you would have found me in the 1 star camp. I went back in today only because I was at another store nearby and figured "why not". I didn't know the ownership had changed here before I went in but it was evident from the moment I stepped inside that things had taken a turn for the better. I haven't purchased from them so this rating is simply reflecting my enthusiasm for the good changes here. The greeting was "welcome to the store" from across the room, as the friendly staff person approached, asked if we'd been in before and what brought us in today. She made suggestions on things we might look at and could answer the questions we had. The improved store layout allows ample space to browse through the vignettes in each of the rooms to be able to see everything. We noticed how well staged and sparkling clean were the displays now with more up to date look as compared to our eighteen months prior experience. They didn't have the kind of things we were searching for and we typically are looking for a higher quality and price point product line in case goods and upholstered furnishings. So in the mode of "it's not you, it's me", this isn't a store I'm likely to visit often. But having said "never again" after our 2015 experience with service and layout, I find myself recommending someone might go take a look here. Noting the negative reviews from in the time period leading up to mid 2016, both on this Yelp page and behind the Yelp filter, you might date sort and notice the reviews written more recently are good ones. Perhaps that's the new ownership influence being noticed. . If you go in, here are a couple of TIPS: a. If you're looking for large scale, mass produced art work they have some that is among the more interesting and "non mass produced looking" of any we've seen in the area at some of the best price points. They have a modest assortment of some interesting looking, synthetic fiber area rugs hanging on a vertical display that makes them easy to see. They can order them in multiple sizes and the price point for the quality is darned good. We're not in the market but if you are...worth a check in! c. The furnishings in store displays are the tip of the iceberg for what they have available in catalogs and manufacturer references and the staff would be happy to help you select what you need and order for you. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Private lot for this strip mall location: 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Much improved inside under this new owner who has ample floor space clearance in almost all displays to meet ADA minimums. Parking in the strip mall lot still fails to meet the minimums of Federal ADA law and Idaho Accessibility Building Code (both in place for 26 years) but that is the mall owner's issue, not this store owner's.

We have purchased 4 large cost items from People's. 2 of the 4 were 5 star and involved…read moreappliances. The other 2 involved special order furniture and both times the delivery time was longer than expected or promised. On April 4th we ordered a bedroom set that we were told would take 8-12 weeks. On July 7th we were told it was on the truck enroute from Pennsylvania. On July 28 we were promised delivery no later than the 2nd of August as the truck was due on 7-31 or 8-1. Matt promised that it would be delivered Friday or Saturday depending on what day it arrived. The freight wasn't delivered to People's until Saturday morning. By the time delivery is finally made it will have been 18 weeks from purchase to delivery. After calming down I realized that the problem didn't lie with People's primarily. The reached out and explained the situation and satisfied me that they did their best but the delivery from manufacture to them was out of their control.

It was wired wrong from the get-go and didn't use cold water. Most of the time service was good, but there were a couple of disappointing times over the years. Everything set up on the front porch was completely stunning. Everything was strategically placed and thoughtfully decorated. It was hard not to buy all the outside pieces cause of how beautiful everything was staged. I need to front of my house to look like this front porch. This store is just stunning. I was excited to add these beautiful pieces to my home. Besides the candles, I also found a gorgeous print that I'm going to place on my living room wall that I'm redecorating. Stores like Sweet Tea Living could be a hit or miss with customer service. I have been ignored at some local joints in town.
