I recently was made aware that my house had a small termite situation. This was not good news & I…read morewas very anxious about it at first. As you can imagine, I'm thinking worst case scenario & my house was going to fall apart at any moment. After asking around & getting some friend referrals, I contacted Strike 3 Pest Control. They were extremely friendly over the phone & offered to do a free in-home estimate. Strike 3 was able to come by fairly quickly. Their technician did a full inspection that took about an hour and provide us with a quote right away. He was also kind enough to throw in a full house treatment for the inside & outside. Luckily, I was told that the termites had more than likely not done any significant damage and this was actually extremely common in our area. We did get a second opinion from another reputable company, but they happened to be several hundred dollars more expensive & didn't give us much confidence with their level of knowledge. Strike 3 was able to schedule an appointment for about 1 week out. The work was performed over a two day period. The men that came onsite to do the work were very friendly, professional & worked quickly. They actually had to drill holes about every foot or so along the garage walls & around the back concrete deck. They filled each hole back in with concrete. There were several very small holes drilled inside where our drywall was. They also filled those drywall holes. We just need to paint over them again. Not a big deal. They were careful to vacuum up any debris that was left. I literally did not have to do any cleanup once they were completed. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work. I wasn't wild about the cost of it, but it really is a lot of work. I will more than likely use them in the future for any standard bug spraying. Since they did the treatment a week ago, we haven't seen a single live bug in or around the house. The termite work has a 5-year warranty.

This could have been an absolutely devastating day because he did not do his job and shut the back gate knowing that we had pets. While I was…read moreoverall satisfied with having someone come on a regular basis, they never quite got a handle on our bug problem for the $2500 it cost me for a year of quarterly service. I decided to give these guys a call with an ant problem we had at a rent house that we have. They're prompt and competitively priced. They also do pretty darn good work while also ensuring that they don't unnecessarily harm our animals. After my Terminex contract ended, I asked them to come to my house and see what we could do to regain control of our own yard. The bugs are out of control. It's so bad, I swear I saw our little girl dog fist fighting with a giant mosquito and a tick holding our three dogs at knife point on the back porch while a flea and spider fleeced their pockets. That's bad. Again, Flatline came right away and sat down with us to develop a plan to get our yard back. Terminex never once sat down with us and asked us anything, which is why we still had bugs even after they did their quarterly treatment. Moxie did not mention the reviews but did reverse the 150$ charge. For that i'll bump them to a 2. I appreciate them reversing the charge, but i do not like that this has taken 3 calls and me posting 4 public complaints before i get anything handled. Sticking people into contracts when you are not holding your end of the deal is not the right thing to do. I appreciate you correcting your mistake. ---- Moxie came to my home and performed 3 services, after the first service i noticed for the first time a mouse in my house that i was able to get rid of (without moxies help) and i noticed i was getting more ants than ever before in my yard. So i asked moxie to come and they sprayed again, to which i noticed my yard getting WORSE again. Moxie comes out again, final service. This time same thing, i have paid in full up until that point no issues. I call moxie again and tell them i want to swap services because their service wasn't working for me. Then they tell me I'm being charged a early termination of a 1 year contract a fee that was 150$ and if i had just gotten 1 more service with them would've instead only cost me 100$? Business is shady i refuse to pay this 150$ they are trying to charge 1.5% on top of that 150$ every month if i don't pay it too. Absolutely not i will not be forced into paying for a terrible service. I swapped companies and within the VERY FIRST SERVICE of the other company I've noticed absolutely no issues. I asked more than once about the whole yard being treated. I have alot of gophers and want all the grubs and other food sources eradicated. He told me more than once that the yard would be treated. When the person came to apply the treatment to my yard he only put the granules right around the house. Even though what the service is was misrepresented I will still be held to the year contract. Buy a container of Home Defense and put down your own insect granules. I don't like to put down the granules is the only reason I decided to give Moxie a try. I will now be paying them AND treating my yard myself. I should have known better.
