Medicine Wheel also offers physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, Spiritual direction and other fitness training classes. They have essential oils and treatments and other health supplements and yoga equipment for purchase. My instructor, Ari, was so gifted and exuded such peaceful energy i immediately felt at ease and welcomed. She asked from the elements which I'd most benefit and I chose Earth to get some practice grounding and balancing. She did a super job of leading us through the breathing and poses, encouraging us throughout the Hour whenever our bodies were not cooperating. At the end of shavasana she gave us a brief and gentle foot massage which was heavenly!! My wife and I had several visits with a bad one 4 years ago. A bad one can literally destroy your spine! My wife was very active and in good overall health when we went in for routine care. After a few visits she was clearly not responding well, so that Dr said that she simply needed more adjustments. After a few more visits I took her to Doctor Moss for a second opinion. Doctor Moss saw right away that there was a serious problem and said "You need to get some imaging, something isn't right.". The imaging showed several herniated disks with her C4,5 so badly damaged that it had to be replaced. She's been predominantly bedridden since then because of unbearable nerve pain. The other chiropractor would have continued "care" until my wife was paralyzed or dead. My body was breaking down fast and all my doctors and specialists told me I would only get worse with time. I couldn't drive, I couldn't go in public without wearing a mask to prevent a severe reaction from laundry soap on other people's clothing, hairspray smells, whiffs of cleaners or perfume or any other chemical smell would send my body into shut down mode. I'd lose my balance and get dizzy to the point of having to use a wheelchair. Even after all of my precautions I'd spend a week or a couple weeks recovering from that outing. I'm a mom of 3 and my life became just laying around and asking other people to help take care of my kids.
