Wow-Great Energy! I went online and found Medicine Wheel because I like to keep up my yoga practice while away from home. They had loads of options as far as classes go so I chose one that fit our vacation itinerary. They supply mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters for the traveling yogi, or anyone who forgets to bring theirs! There are cubbies and a coat rack for your belongings and two unisex restrooms just outside the yoga studio. A couple hours prior to class I stopped by and met one of the Center's managers, Rebecca (very sweet) was hosting an open house for expectant moms featuring all they offer in prenatal and postpartum yoga classes, wellness treatments and support. Medicine Wheel also offers physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, Spiritual direction and other fitness training classes. They have essential oils and treatments and other health supplements and yoga equipment for purchase. My instructor, Ari, was so gifted and exuded such peaceful energy i immediately felt at ease and welcomed. She asked from the elements which I'd most benefit and I chose Earth to get some practice grounding and balancing. She did a super job of leading us through the breathing and poses, encouraging us throughout the Hour whenever our bodies were not cooperating. At the end of shavasana she gave us a brief and gentle foot massage which was heavenly!! It can be intimidating going to a new studio but Medicine Wheel's staff and facilities are inviting, energizing and comforting, too. This is truly a healing space!! And you can sign up on Returned two days later for yoga with Rebecca and massage with Dee- still amazing!! I love the fact that the rehab classes are done by Physical Therapists (who are amazing). I do knee rehab twice a week to keep my low back, legs, and feet strengthen for all that I do outside. The PT's are always watching how you do everything to make sure you do it correctly. They started a shoulder rehab class and I think I am going to like it just as much. I cannot say enough about Medicine Wheel Wellness. They have many more amazing classes. Check them out. They offer lots of products that help with your recovery and overall health. This is a very professional and clean facility providing an array of services for your wellness needs. My experience with Adam as a personal trainer has been extremely beneficial.
