While getting the X-rays, one of my least favorite parts of going to the dentist, one of the ladies asked me questions and got to know me to help me keep my mind off it. The dentist was very gentle. Teeth X-rays are never comfortable for me but that was the least uncomfortable I've ever been during X-rays. I felt no judgement from them like I've felt at other dentists and the ladies at the front desk were super sweet and answered all my questions. I feel a lot more comfortable and confident about my next visit!

Just over two weeks before the end of my seasonal job in Jackson, I developed a toothache. I did…read moresome research and decided to contact 2 local dentists. Elk Ridge Dental was prompt to return my call; I never heard from the other. After explaining my situation to Gloria on the phone, she made me an appt for the next day. I saw Dr. Espinoza, who after discussing my symptoms and a little of my dental history and reviewing my x-ray, concluded in her exam that perhaps a small spot of decay that didn't even show on the e-xray was the culprit and recommended a filling. I really thought my pain was far beyond a bit of surface decay, but she is the dr...and I got the filling. I asked her about prescribing antibiotics, and she said we should wait to see if the filling alleviated the pain. By the time the anesthetic wore off, I knew the original issue not only remained but the pain was increasing. I called the office the next day (a Friday) and the soonest appt was Monday morning. The weekend was filled with bouts that were reminiscent of having labor pains in my jaw! On Monday morning, needless to say, Dr. Espinoza quickly agreed that the little cavity she'd filled was not the "root" of my problem (as I had suspected) and said a root canal was in order. She then prescribed antibiotics and pain meds, I paid for another office visit, and left their office entertaining visions of a pending root canal in my future. The soonest root canal appt they could get me was 8/19...I was leaving for home 8/21... In the mean time, I contacted my long-time dentist at home, explained the situation, and decided to hold off on the procedure till I was back there since it was a difference of just a few days. I stopped into the office one morning this week to ask them to cancel the root canal appt for me, and to express my unhappiness with the diagnosis I had originally received. Neda and Gloria were both very receptive and understanding of my situation....an inaccurate diagnosis of my original complaint, a procedure that was most likely not necessary, the pain from the infection that would not have escalated had it not gone untreated for 3 more days, and the fact that I had paid a 2nd office visit fee to come and tell them the first diagnosis was wrong. Gloria's offer of a monetary solution was immediate and even more than I had expected to "right" the situation. Both ladies thanked me for being candid and expressed that this information was important to Dr. Galbraith. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome, despite the big hiccup and 3 days of unnecessary pain. Overall, if I could rate the business separately from the doctor's diagnosis, I'd give 5 stars. I thought the fees were reasonable. All of the staff, both front and back office, that I encountered were very friendly and professional. I just think that Dr. Espinoza needs a little more experience under her belt before I would be confident with her treating me again, and because of that could only give her 2 stars if rating the doctor separately.

About two months ago, I was in Jackson WY for the holidays. I developed a horrible tooth pain…read morepossibly due to the change in altitude. The pain was so incredible that I wanted to pull the tooth out myself. I called all local dentists (~7 to 8). All offices were was closed for the holidays. I just happened to check other dentists outside of Jackson and found Dr. Tall's practice. Dr. Tall's office was also closed but I left a VM anyway. He called me back in under an hour while he was on vacation and on the slopes with his family. He did an evaluation of the phone and determined that I needed a antibiotic and called it in to the pharmacy. Within 24 hours I was significantly better and was able to continue with the vacation. I honestly do not know what I would have done without his help. He asked for nothing. I truly wish there were more docs like him in the world. Now if he could spread some of that care to my local docs at home. Thank you so very much. You may see my same comments on other review sites. It is because people need to know how grateful I am to Dr. Tall during my emergency.

I recently got my first root canal by Dr. Morrison, I was extremely nervous it being my first root…read morecanal, I had the impression (incorrectly that they were painful nightmares). I thought that my tooth was so bad that it would have to be pulled. but he was able to save me from having to loose the entire tooth, which is aprantlly much better for you. The research that I did said as much but I was still nervous of the procedure and of how much it would hurt afterwards. He put me on nitrous oxide because I am extremely nervous at the dentist, and the shots were painful but they numbed me so well that the rest of the procedure I felt nothing except odd pressure. That is how I would describe the felling of having the root camel it's somewhat odd but with this doctor I felt no pain, I have had fillings and other work that was more painful because I did not get enough numbing. I was also worried that I was going to be in pain after the procedure, the doctor was kind enough to give me some Advil caps and he also gave me some stronger pain medication which I was happy to get because I had no idea what kind of pain I was going to be In after the Novocain wore off. The pain was extremely mild compared with what I went thru the week before having two teeth pulled, one of those was more painfully after seven days compared with the root canal the next day. All told I would highly recommend seeing a specialist for root canals Escpecally on the more complicated molars, he will save you from having to have a one of those rare bad experiences that give root canals their bad reputation.
