You can also see where the old pick guard was and when you lay the old pickguard on top of the new they are not the same size. First time I've came here and I came because of all of the reviews. I need to have tuners replaced. I won't have them do it. It cost $410. I also failed to mention that when they repaired the cracked bridge, they put in new pins and kept the originals. That is on me for not noticing and asking about them. I don't play and I inherited this guitar from an old friend who just passed away. They did leave me the old original pick guard. I am now going to have the guitar completely refurbished.

My future wife asked me what a pawn shop was like during this time. Wedgle's came to mind immediately. I walked in and said, "I am looking for a flamenco guitar, golpe plate, peg-head desirable." The clerk looked at me like I had fallen off a turnip truck. Then he said, "I don't think...just a moment". He disappeared into the store and in minutes he came back with a beautiful Cyprus bodied, Alvarez, with golpe plate and peg-heads. The owner (I assume) is very knowledgeable and so friendly! I didn't bring any earmuffs with me to Denver, so I ended up buying one of the handmade (in Nepal) fleece-lined wool beanie animal hats. I do not wear hats, but I was desperate. It is the warmest hat I've ever worn, AND the fleece lining does not flatten my curls!! I got the lion beanie and want to wear it everywhere I go because it (mainly the lion's mane) brings me such joy. I can't tell whether the animal beanies are intended for children or not, but they fit adult heads -- the ear flaps (with attached tails!) make the beanie a bit wide so it doesn't totally ruin your hair day. I also bought a rastafarian animal beanie for my parents back in KC. I'm making my boyfriend go to the store with me once more before we leave Denver so I can buy at least five more beanies. They are truly so soft and warm (and less than $20!). I want one to go with every coat, and I'm going to get a few for my friends -- they may think they look a bit childish, but they won't care once they wear them.

I had originally discovered this company years ago and formed a outstanding relationship with the owner, Gordon. I drove over there the other day because I definitely wanted to give Gordon's cause a donation. Gordon does this thing which is called "Guitars for our Troops". He sends out Guitar's to people in the military that are at war, want to learn how to play guitar or some even have PTSD and finding a way thru music helps calm the nerves and chases out some of those demons. Gordon ended up buying his own building and moved to this larger place a couple years ago. As I visit often, I just love to go in and talk to Gordon and see all the instruments although I play none. I went the other day and was very happy to see JP who sometimes works out of there, he does private guitar lessons and was my daughters first and only guitar instructor. Gordon is working towards turning this amazing building into an instrument Museum, I know he will get it done. Our family had decided to donate our old Victrola that has been in the family for years.
