How nice it is that T&T Tree Service is still in business since 1980, they have done all of our tree work. Tim Jennings is still in charge and shows no signs of slowing down. We had a large oak in our front yard that took a beating from Beryl last year. We had tree company guys knocking at our door quite often saying they could remove the tree, the prices they quoted were very high. I called Tim to come take a look at the tree. Rather than suggest removing it, he said the tree was still healthy but needed to have dead branches and broken limbs removed. One branch had even grown out to the street light and was resting on the arm going out from the pole. Tim's crew not only cleaned up that tree but also took dead limbs and suckers from other oaks and sweet gums making our house look better with more curb appeal. And his price was so reasonable. There are lots of tree cutting services but I highly recommend Tim and his crew at T&T Tree Service.

One of the most beneficial things they do is "open up" the insides of the trees (most of ours are live oaks and water oaks, but we also have a magnolia and crepe myrtle) to help optimize the amount of sunlight that gets to the yard itself. One of the problems in our tract home subdivision (Woodridge Forest, Porter) is that the original landscapers overplanted live oak trees, so as they grow, less and less sunlight gets to the grass: eventually, instead of a lush lawn, you end up with mostly dirt.

I contracted with RCC, Roof Concepts and Construction, for a new roof on August 13, 2024. I am the…read moreproperty owner and I have waited 5 months before leaving a review, hoping Brian would do the right thing. On completion, the roof did not pass inspection by a licensed TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) inspector on Agust 17, 2024. Also, during installation, it rained into my home even though the owner was alerted to a coming rain storm. He assured me the roof was completely sealed, but it wasn't and there were no tarps on site to cover the roof. Severel rooms in my home received damage from the water and the insulation in the attic was destroyed. Brian did repairs on September 20, 37 days after original installation, and again on September 20. On September 27, Brian finally went on roof to see for himself the job that we were complaining about. When he came down, he said "It is SO BAD I have to get another crew". He had never sent out an experienced roofing crew, just handymen, and repairs were not done correctly. The roof failed another inspection by licensed inspector on October 30, 2024. More repairs were done in November, and another inspection was done in December. There were still deficiencies. So after 5 months and 3 inspections, my roof is still not acceptable. Brian said my roof was completely sealed when I warned him of approaching rain storm. It was not and there were no tarps on site to cover roof. Said roof vents covered by insurance were replaced, but two independent roofers said they were not replaced, just painted over. Said they are committed to making things right and ensuring that I was completely satisfied with final outcome. Be sure to read both sides of their contract.

I'm Byron Davis, a retired professor emeritus at South Texas College of Law, Houston. My wife is also retired as a professor of political science. We bought our present house in 2015, in Carlton Woods Creekside. The builder was Croix Custom Homes. We are the second owners. We noticed immediately the house would not cool properly in Texas heat. After $25,000 we eliminated that issue. Within 6 months we had a major roof leak. The roof repair company told us the roof underlayment was not installed properly and leaks would continue, unless the roof tiles were removed, the underlayment was removed, and a proper underlayment was installed. I learned that the underlayment keeps the inside dry without leaks, and roof tiles protect the underlayment. We were skeptical, after all, we lived in an upscale neighborhood with a premium home builder. But, it was correct advice. Over the next 9-10 years we had multiple leaks. Again, the same advice. Replace the roof. In 2025 we decided to extend the master bedroom closet, and to replace the roof. i got several bids, Roof Concepts was the only company to recommend removing the existing concrete tiles, install the proper underlayment and reinstall the existing tiles. As Brian said, " the roof tiles are ok, let's replace the underlayment". This has been a difficult process. But Brian keep me informed every step. They have done an excellent job. Hold on...we're not finished. We also accepted their bid for an addition to a master bedroom closet. Again, the quality and commitment continues. We are not finished yet, but we are close.
