Ordered a large popcorn, two sodas and two hot dogs. Cashier and staff behind the counter were friendly and their service was efficient. Order came out accurate and we enjoyed our food. The seats in our theatre were indeed premium - leather, reclinable, comfortable and with space to hold your food items. Movie quality was top-notch - big screen, very clear and surround sound and enhanced the movie itself. After having not been in a movie theater for while, I was welcome back with a positive experience and wowed by how it enhances an overall movie-going opportunity!

You can adjust the seat exactly how you like it, which makes sitting through a long film very comfortable. When you first walk in, the space is beautiful and feels elevated. I did not realize they also have a restaurant portion in the front, so next time I would love to arrive earlier and enjoy a meal before the movie. This time, we ordered food and drinks directly to our seats, which was perfect. Having something to eat and snack on during a long movie made the experience even better. I ordered a Caesar salad and french fries. I did not take photos because I did not want to be disruptive during the movie, but everything was solid and hit the spot. The popcorn was pretty dry and not flavorful at all so that was definitely a downside as I love movie popcorn usually. I accidentally left my umbrella in the theater and because the door locks after you leave, I called and they were able to bring it out to me so I was thankful for that. Overall, I loved the luxury of it all. The comfort, the service, and the convenience made it a great experience. I would definitely return and make this my go to theater for longer films.

Sure, many theaters are getting fancy upgrades, but I kind of appreciate the nostalgic charm of this place--until I sit down that is. The IMAX and Dolby screens offer those sweet, sweet recliners, but the rest? Think dirty, outdated, and about as comfortable as a rock in a blender. Now, AMC's motto is "We make movies better," but apparently that doesn't apply to customer service. You'll find a rare gem or two who genuinely care, but the rest seem more invested in their phones or personal convos than in, you know, doing their jobs. And that A-List line? It's basically decorative. If there's only one person at the register, it's a free-for-all: "I can help whoever's next" -- whether you're A-List or just wandered in from the parking lot. Popcorn? I'll give them credit there. Most of the time, it's fresh and crunchy, with butter and salt stations for your DIY flavoring needs. Jalapeños used to be free, but apparently some rogue popcorn rebels ruined it for the rest of us, and now there's a surcharge. Then there's the soda situation. Those touchscreen machines with a buffet of drink options are great, when they actually have something in them. Half the time, they're out of everything except some obscure soda no one drinks. And don't even get me started on the audience. Since the pandemic, it seems like people think they're paying for both a movie and a social hour. Despite the pre-film plea for silence, there's always that one group that treats the theater like their living room. Whatever happened to ushers kicking out chatty patrons? Ah, the good ol' days. In short, I've accepted that the service here is permanently set to "meh." I still grin and bear it because, at the end of the day, I'm here for the love of movies, even if I have to bring my own patience.

Since Deerbrook Mall has undergone some renovations over the years, I assumed the theater had received some much-needed updates as well. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. My son and I visited on Father's Day to see Disclosure Day. We paid extra for the so-called "preferred parking," which is located underneath the theater, then made our way through the mall and up to the cinema. From the outside and common areas, the theater is impressive. It's a large, attractive facility that gives the impression of a modern movie-going experience. Then you walk into the actual auditorium. The individual theaters are absolutely abhorrent. The floors were sticky and dirty. The seats were old, stained, and covered in what looked like years of accumulated grime and popcorn. There was an unpleasant odor throughout the theater that reminded me of a neglected back alley. My son and I were so uncomfortable that we sat with our hands folded in our laps because neither of us wanted to rest our arms on the filthy armrests. As a parent, I honestly felt bad for bringing my kid here. Another oddity was the lack of theater staff. This is the first movie theater I've ever visited where I didn't see employees checking theaters before, during, or after the movie. Once the film ended, there wasn't a single staff member in sight. The movie itself was fine, although I was surprised to see closed captions displayed directly on the screen throughout the showing. I've never experienced that before, but I assume someone in attendance required the accommodation. Overall, the facility desperately needs a renovation. The theater experience should complement the movie, not distract from it. Until AMC invests in updating and deep-cleaning this location, I won't be returning.

Between the multiple kiosks and concession lines, we barely had to wait for anything;which is a win when you're managing excited kids and movie snacks. Speaking of snacks, my kids refuse to attend a movie without their snack packs, so that mission was accomplished before we headed to our seats. The seats were comfortable, clean, and didn't feel worn down like some theaters I've visited. One thing to note: this place is huge! There are so many movies playing that after you've been in your theater for a while, the building can start to feel like a maze when it's time for a restroom break. Thankfully, the women's restroom was impressively clean. Multiple stalls, well maintained, and honestly one of the cleaner theater restrooms I've come across. The Summer Movie Program was the perfect introduction to this theater, and apparently it worked because my kids have already requested a return. I'd call that a successful movie day!

We have been there before and this place is Absolutely Beautiful and the Food is Delicious. We rented out 'The Audrey', which is a Private Dinning area and Private Theater with those comfortable seats you can lay back in and enjoy the movie. But first, a little about 'Star Cinema Grill'. When you first walk into this place you are amazed at how Beautiful it is. The approach to the Ticket Area is Very Impressive. They even have Mask for those that forgot theirs - and their Entire Staff wears a Mask. Next is the Bar/Dinning area that is AwesomlyBeautiful. At first look you think you're on a Cruise and aboard a Very Beautiful Ship. Everything about this place is Elegant - even the walkways to each Theater - and the Restrooms - Yep, even them. My Wife said that she has a dress just like the carpet here - sure glad she didn't wear it last night, I might not find her. Now, back to the review - The Audrey Dining area was set up with separate tables for each couple social distanced apart. The Manager, Colleen, met with us and we went over the evening. Everyone arrived on time and MJ, our Private Server, took our drink orders and returned pretty quick with our drinks. I'm having their 'Frozen Jack-N-Coke' and my Wife is getting their 'Texas Mule'. F.J&C is my Favorite Drink and when it arrived I was totally impressed as to the appearance of this drink - it was Fluffed Up above the rim of the glass. This was a Pretty Good Drink and the taste of Jack - and it's Fluffed Up. My Wife enjoyed her 'Texas Mule' and had a couple of these during the evening. MJ, our Server, took all our orders and placed them electronically. Their Menu consist of 'Previews' as Appetizers, 'Feature Presentations' as Entrees (along with Pizza and 'Green Screen' for Salads) and 'Closing Credits' as Desserts. They also have listed 'Kids Corner' for the Kiddies. The other side of the Menu list all the Drinks they offer - and there is a lot of them with Very Cool Names, along with 'Classic Candy' and 'Quick Flicks' (Popcorn, etc..). They also have a lot of Draft Beers on Tap - that's always good to know. My Wife ordered their 'Love Me Tenders'; Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenderloins with Seasoned Fries, Texas Toast & Country Gravy. I am having 'The Godfather' (Pizza); Sausage, Pepperoni, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives, Tomatoes and Cheese. Note: They make their own Crust here and you can also have their Cauliflower Crust. While we waited for our food we chatted and enjoyed our drinks - and I really enjoyed my Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke. This was some Good Stuff. Soon, and I mean Real Soon, MJ started bringing out our food. My Wife's 'Love Me Tenders' look really good and their 'Presentation' is Beautiful. My 'Godfather' also looks Very Yummy and it was. Nice Fresh Flavor of Everything and the Crust is Lightly-Crunchy-Liciousness. Everyone enjoyed their food and ate all they could but due to the abundance of food on each plate and there were plenty of To-Go-Boxes prepared. You get a lot of Deliciousness at Star Cinema - but I ate all of mine because that's what I do. 'Star Cinema' provides you with a list of Movies to choose from for your Private Showing and we choose 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' based on the 1850 Novel 'David Copperfield' by Charles Dickens, which is Very Interestingly Done Different-ly Movie you will ever see - or something like that. You also can bring in any Movie you want on DVD (except a Disney Film) and it will be shown on the Big Screen for your Private Groups Enjoyment. When Dinner was done, we took our seats in the Theater section of 'The Audrey' which has those Plush Seats and more. They also offer Blankets for you to wrap up in if that's what you want - and a lot of our Group did just that. This place really goes all out for Customer Service. My Wife and I grabbed some seats and opened up our Popcorn Boxes that they provided for Everyone - and started enjoying the Coming Attractions and the Popcorn. This Popcorn is pretty good. I'm not a Popcorn Eater per-say but - I finished off my entire box half way through the movie - It's That Good. We enjoyed the Movie and it's Delightful Weirdness. Our Server stayed with us the entire time providing the Best Service you could get anywhere - and this is at a Theater. The 'Star Cinema Grill' offers the Best Service along with Delicious Food in a Very Elegant Setting. They also have $5 Tuesdays for Movies and offer Special Drinks on various days for only $5 - such as the 'Texas Mule' on Thursdays along with 'Craftmans Boch' - a Very Dark Beer that some of our Group enjoyed - and did I tell you I enjoyed my 'Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke? - well, I did. Check out the 'Star Cinema Grill' on Facebook and on-line - They are Awesome - They also can Delivery your Food Order via Grubhub directly to your home or office.
