Wanting to make sure this new (used) car was safe I opted for both inspections. Within a couple hours I was sent a detailed list of things from their courtesy inspection that needed repair along with photos. And soon after received a phone call with the details and he was happy to help with any questions I had. My reasoning for a missing star was I asked for the details on the $159 inspection and was told everything looked great, but that could have been because the seller wiped it clean (?!). I'm just your typical women who knows nothing about cars and had no idea this was possible. I felt taken advantage of for not being told about this before I agreed to pay $159. On top of that, there was some kind of $12 fee I was not told about that brought my total to $172 after taxes. I really appreciate their kind customer service and their nice clean waiting room but I would still recommend anyone who has no clue about cars to ask around before spending money here.

Something these people would definitely have known, but instead decided to hide behind not being able to read what was wrong with the car because the battery didn't have any history on it. He stands by his service, feels that his inability to identify the obvious mechanical failure is worth $135, and refuses a refund thereof. He even stated that this is a very rare issue, yet it took me thirty seconds to discover that there was a recall for this. Somehow this guy considered himself a professional. Far from it. Piss poor standards, to say the least, and piss poor customer service on top of that. That'll teach me to vet a privately owned businesses before I put any trust in them. He and his crew worked on the engine with a high level of attention to detail. He stuck with the project despite having to deal with carburetor, ignition, and fuel tank problems that were well outside the scope of the project. It was a very frustrating project for all of us, but Richie completed the project as promised. He also followed up a few months later to ensure that everything was still okay. This is what caused high pressure explosion under hood 1 hour into my 14 hour trip. It was a hot drive down to Texas this year! Beware of this mechanic!!! Milking and bleeding customers by doing half-work. Kinda like installing a new tire and only putting 10 pounds of air knowing it needs 35 pounds and sending customer out the door. These guys really are the best and I am SO glad my transmission failed me in Corpus. I had the transmission go on my Lexus and with the good reviews I had it towed there for an estimate. Not only did they fix it perfectly but they offer a 3yr 75000 warranty (including parts and labor) which is much longer and better than most. The Lexus dealer was going to be more expensive and have a shorter warranty. They put it all back together and its running like a top! Plus I LOVE that the do all the rebuild work onsite... buying a rebuilt transmission from an unknown source is not a good idea and brand new OEM ones are very expensive. These guys seemed very honest and great to work with!
