Vehicle Service Contract? Worthless. They wanted to put in a used transmission that had a 120,000 miles on it. Would not cover anything. This is a "stack em deep and sell em cheap" place. If you want to get a cheap car and you have the money to do a lot of maintenance on it right from the jump, sure go for the cash car from here. Check Carfax to see how long it's been on the lot. If it's been more than a couple of months, run from this place. I found out that my car had been sitting on the lot for almost a year!

Out of warranty (they have a one year warranty) and less than 8,000 miles on the tranny, with normal driving (I don't even do burnouts, let alone racing) my transmission had to be completely rebuilt, again! The shop who did the new rebuild is one of the most reputable transmission shops in Orange County CA, very well known and specializing in Corvette transmissions (wish I went to them in the first place). They walked me through all the parts that had to be replaced and showed me what was done before based on TDP's invoice, they didn't bad mouth or disparage TDP in any way shape or form, they let me come to my own conclusion by presenting the parts and procedure they had to go through to make my transmission correct. TDP invoiced me $3,494.45 for the rebuild (+ $400.00 for shipping it back and forth to CA.), my new rebuild invoice is $4,591.06. Now, I know exactly what is inside my new transmission. I now have a transmission that has been rebuilt twice, in less than 2 years and cost me $8,085.51 + $400.00 in shipping. $8485.51 in total, This was a very expensive lesson to learn and my point is to ALWAY'S be sure you're getting what you pay for. Based on my experience I would never recommend Texas Drivetrain Performance! If I could give you a zero star, I would!

We made the mistake of paying him before we even saw the vehicle. It appeared that he was very anxious to take our money before we even knew where the vehicle was. He would not refund our money and promised that he would fix everything. Several weeks passed, they called and said everything was ready to go and that everything on the list worked. We found when we got there that he had added more to the price and things still did not work. We left it for another month. They finally called and said it was ready and that everything was fixed. We got there and the price had changed again and it still did not work. So we left again and waited several more weeks. They called again and said it was ready. When we got there he wasn't there and the price had changed once more. Half of the things still did not work. We could not get a refund for the items not fixed. He would not give us the keys until we paid more money. He told us then that we didn't know what we were talking about and that in Texas the auto mechanic can do anything they want and you have no recourse. We were forced to leave and leave our motorhome there. He said he had a lawyer on standby at all times. We were told to take the mo9torhome and not bother him anymore and pay him more money. At this time he has the motorhome and will not give us any of our money back unless we give him more money. We started all of this so it would be fixed and we could sell it because we are elderly, living on social security only and we needed the money. He is the owner and his name is Corey Ebert.
