Well, I hope no one else has to experience the headache of replacing a boat trailer. We were unfortunately T-boned a few months ago while backing our trailer into a rental home just north of the Belton damn. Boat was fine but the trailer was not. The headaches of dealing with the insurance cannot be described as fun to me..and the value to replace your trailer in todays market, not good either. However, Josh and his TEAM at Texas Boat World made it about the best experience I could have asked for. We live in Boerne, about 3 hrs away. The original adjustable trailer that I had ordered did not fit our boat. The service department at Texas boat world, was very sloppy and negligent with my boat. It was an older boat, but it was in good shape when I handed it over to them. They were very rough on the upholstery, and with the boat overall. The final straw was when I picked up the boat, and on the way home the cushion over the motor hatch blew off. I came to discover that they hadn't even attached the motor hatch back on properly, which the cushion was attached to. They wouldn't pay for it, but offered to pay only half. I cut my losses and went to a different company for my boat repair needs. They suck! Upholstery and chrome on my boat is permanently stained Plus I'm missing a cushion. It was a beautiful boat when I gave it to them. You best go elsewhere!! read more

Stop by twice to look at purchasing a boat. Both times no one helped. Called and asked for info on a boat and was told that one was under contract. No hey we got this one or that one just nope and off the phone. The second time I went by I went in and stood in their showroom a couple minutes no one around. If I could leave zero stars I would. NEVER use Texas boat world to repair your boat. This has been the longest repair job I've ever heard of. I work in insurance and have never seen a repair take this long. They've had our boat since the first week and January and have still not even laid a finger on the boat. They never call us back with inquiries on the progress and when they do they give us the run around. We've already paid them $8000 for a new engine and at this point I think they've either taken our money and ran or are taking their sweet time because they've already been paid. On Friday my $25k offer was accepted via email for a 2006 Ranger Bay. My "thank you" reply indicated I would come inspect the boat. I arrived on Saturday around 11am after having driven over an hour from Austin. I walked the lot looking for the boat and could not find it. The sales person that accepted my offer met me in the lot and said the boat was on loan to a guide. I would like to thank the guide for saving me $25k + TTL + short term interest and the cost of headaches that seemed sure to follow. You should thank the guide as well and shop else where. - How could one possibly explain selling a motor advertised to have 198 hours or so on it, accept an offer to buy it and then "loan it out". Stay away. I've never been so let down in a total experience. Sales was lazy. I'd email and ask questions, and the salesman would only answer a couple and leave ther others unanswered. The process was not explained to me (first time buying a boat from a dealer). I took off work early and drove over an hour to find out that there was no easy to take the boat home that day, all negotiations had to go through the owner (boat was on consignment) and they couldn't guarantee a time frame for a response. Decided to purchase anyway. Came back after 4 days to pickup. Was told the boat was completely serviced, and was tested on the lake. When I took it to the lake it started and ran like crap. It dies unless the full throttle it, and to top it off the trim doesn't go all the way up unless you lift up on it while someone else presses the switch. So upset, it's not even funny. Now let's talk about financing and registration. I filled out the preapproval paperwork at 10AM, and didn't get down there until 5pm. They tell me they still hadn't heard from the banks yet. 10 minutes after sitting down I start getting notifications of hits on my credit. Sure you haven't heard back from the banks because you didn't process the information. Ser still decided to go through with the deal, because, at the time, it still seemed like a good price. Its now been over a month and I have yet to receive my registration. The 2 temp tags they gave me are now expired (each temp tag is only good for 15 days). Contacted Maggie and she stats "oh the title just came in today. I'm going in first thing Tuesday to register." Here it is Friday and I emailed her again and she states she "just sent off the boat registration this morning in the mail. Still waiting on the trailer registration." Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away!! read more
