This clinic specializes in care for younger children (0-9), even then this clinic is very lacking…read more I've been a patient to this clinic since I was born, they were good at catching things when I was younger, however now that i'm older they have given me mixed or sometimes just missed obvious signs. I have a condition known as pectin excavatum, which is an indentation in the chest. This could've been diagnosed as young as when I was around 7, they didn't catch a literal indentation in my chest until I was 12-13 only because I pointed it out. In my last visit I needed to talk to my physician about a vitamin deficiency that was talked about in a yearly check up, a diagnosed issue with my growth, a referral to a neurologist, and a sinus infection. The nurse only did to tests to confirm something I already knew, then when the doctor came into my room I began to ask her about the vitamin defficiency. As it turned out she had no idea of any of the topics I needed to talk about and when I questioned her about the vitamin deficiency, she said she needed to check. She then left, had a nurse "check" my vitamins then did not return. They literally did not listen when I said I was on vitamin supplements when I last had blood drawn, the doctor proceeded to not return and sent a nurse, whom just gave me a doctors note for school and basically shooed me away, as I got up to nobody's surprise I became disoriented and as I walked to the pharmacy next door to pick up my antiboitics, my leg failed and I almost fell. This all happened because they refused to draw blood and did not listen to me. These doctors and nurses at times can be very incompetent and just repeat things to you that you already know.

I scheduled it that way because the well-child is already three months late and this was the first available location that my chart offered me. When I got there the front desk receptionist I believe her name is Andrea was telling me that I would have to transfer my daughter over as a new patient because I booked it as a new patient. I told her I did not book it as a new patient. I booked it as a well child. Well, she insisted that I had made the mistake and booked it as a new patient. I asked her to show me where it showed booked as a new patient. She tried to show me on her screen, but I asked her to show me on my phone that the appt could be booked as a well child new patient. She went through the steps of trying to make a new appointment as a well child at that location, but the system wouldn't let her do it. However, the system let me do it. I don't know why, but it did. It was a very circular discussion and it was more than frustrating as I had already taken my child out of school and I had taken the day off to have this done. Front desk also said I'd never been there before but yes, we had been there before. I didn't want wait any later because as I said before, the well child exam is already three months late but even knowing thet Dr Garibaldi would not honor the appointment. And IF they been in the least bit empathetic they would have honored the appointment. So just a massive waste of my time due their system glitch.

Everyone was nice and the doctor asked me tons of helpful questions, explained everything she was doing and why, and answered every question I had. I have never had a better experience anywhere else. I am so happy I found Avenue 360!

Trying to make an appointment was a nightmare. First, I got shuffled off to some call center, then sent back to the McKay location, where I waited on hold forever before someone finally picked up. And when they did, there was no friendly greeting, just a brisk "Village Medical? Birthdate? Name?" It felt really cold and unprofessional. When I mentioned my hernia issue, they just told me they're booked till mid-April. That's it for me. I'm on the hunt for a new family doctor. My wife already left them because they kept nagging her about her weight. I'm definitely out of there too, as soon as possible.
