Can't comment on the pediatricians here but as most of the other negative reviews have stated,…read morefront office staff extremely rude and incompetent. Called to schedule an appointment for newborn. On the phone, they ask insurance type which I provided. Appointment scheduled over the phone and I receive a text stating that I need to submit a copy of the insurance which I do. Appointment confirmed via text. I arrived at the office and they asked if I was paying out of pocket. I said I provided it via text. They said, "we sent you a text stating that we don't accept that insurance." I'm looking at the text, no text ever sent. I said they did not. They also asked me over the phone what insurance my newborn had, and proceeded to schedule the appointment. If I was out-of-network, wouldn't you have told me then on the phone and not went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Being out-of-network seems rather important. Why would you send something like that over a text message? That seems like something warranting a call (especially considering you shouldn't have booked the appt initially). But front office doesn't do that because they're rude and lazy. As I'm walking out the door and looking at the text messages between the office and myself, the front office girl then back talks and says, "oh we definitely sent a text." Avoid the lazy, incompetent front office they have employed.

Long story short my child's original doctor left, and we got assigned a new one. On the day of…read moreher appointment, I ran into unexpected traffic and pulled into the parking garage exactly 15 minutes late (their grace period). I called right then to say I was in the garage, and they told me they couldn't see her. I left a review about that experience (didn't even mention the rude woman on the phone). I asked to speak with a supervisor and never received a call. I did however receive a termination of services letter.

I scheduled my daughter's annual wellness check with Dr. Purcell. She was very kind and friendly…read more Before the appointment, I confirmed multiple times with my insurance company that the annual wellness visit would be covered 100% with no copay. However, after the visit, I received a bill for a copay. When I contacted the billing department, they told me that if any concerns are brought up during the annual checkup and the doctor documents notes about them, the visit is then considered a regular office visit, which requires a copay. I carefully recalled what happened that day. I simply answered the questions asked by the medical staff and had the doctor perform the routine annual exam. We had some casual conversation during the visit, but I did not request any additional evaluation beyond the standard checkup. I was surprised to be told that this automatically resulted in a copay. We have visited many other pediatricians for annual checkups in the past and have never encountered this situation. The billing department repeatedly insisted that this is their policy and that their practice is different from other pediatric offices. They said the office manager would call me back to explain further, but I have not received any call or follow-up. It does not seem like they are interested in resolving this issue. I hope this clinic takes this matter seriously. Families should be aware that even if their insurance covers annual wellness visits at 100%, if the staff determines that "any concern" was brought up, they may reclassify the visit as a regular office visit and require a copay.

My son couldn't walk one morning or even put weight on his left leg so I first went to his primary care doc (just in the same complex area, StLukes medical center). His dr recommended the Texas Children's hospital because my 5 year old wouldn't probably sit still for the things he needed. We saw Dr. Allen and ER nurses Julie and Dayna. Nurse Mike also helped. These people were outstanding in customer service and care. They love their careers, and you can tell they genuinely care for the patients. It's only been about two hours and we have had all blood work and x Rays, now awaiting tests. Thank you Texas Children's!

HARASSING!! I took my son here for a year or so for illnesses. However, THIS office would not stop…read moreharassing us about 'Wellness Checkups'. They would not do the wellness check ups while my son was actually IN the office..they insisted it had to be at a separate visit. Money maker.... I cannot tell you how many phone calls/recordings that I have received in the past year. Sometimes twice a week with recordings telling me that I needed to bring him in for his wellness check ups. I complained to the office regarding the high number of phone calls. I have spoke to women that have called me also telling me that I needed to bring him in for a wellness check up. I would tell them that I felt harassed by their office and it still didn't stop. Please keep in mind that my 14 year old son is totally healthy! He has no medical issues!!!! So for 2 YEARS..nothing but calls and messages. WE MOVED TO A FAMILY PRACTICE and guess what?!? WE DON'T GET HARASSED!

I took my grandson in for what I thought would be a routine visit. The first thing I noticed about…read morethe Dr (PA?) was she was very young. She took the child's temperature & looked in his ears. As we were talking I mentioned that when I picked him up from his mother, he was unsteady on his feet (he's a toddler) and BOOM that simple phrases changed everything. Even though there was no bruising or other signs of a bone fracture or trauma or abuse she demanded that I immediately take him to the emergency wing for a skeletal XRay to check for fractures. I refused and left. She then notified CPS and a case worker appeared at my home. The case worker examined the child, determined no signs of fractures, bruising, abuse & the living conditions & food availability were not an issue. We thought that would be the end of things, but we were wrong The bluefish doctor had told CPS that a complete skeletal x-ray needed to be done to close the case. The problem is bluefish, never issued any orders for the x-rays Today when we called in to get the orders we are told that the Doctor is not on duty today and we will have to wait for another doctor to finish their rounds to take care of this. In the meantime, CPS is pressuring us as to why we haven't taken the child to get x-rays This is preposterous. We took a child in for a routine examiner examination because he was running a slight fever and vomiting. Apparent saying that the child appeared a little unsteady triggered some kind of institutionalized CPS response in the medical community. This is outrageous. CPS should never have been involved. As I write this, I am still waiting for bluefish to get back to me with orders for an x-ray or to call CPS and tell them that the x-rays are not necessary If you choose to take your child to this group, be careful what you say, it may trigger a call to CPS merely by conveying a valid concern.
