Keeping this factual. My appliance purchase here (a Sub-Zero) went smoothly, so I came back for a…read morehome theater setup -- a JVC projector and later a receiver. That's where it went wrong. The 50-ft HDMI cable they sold and installed couldn't carry a 4K HDR signal, which is the main thing I bought the system for. Instead of identifying the cable, I was told my receiver was to blame, so I replaced it -- and the problem persisted. When it still failed, a technician reconfigured my Apple TV to output 1440p instead of true 4K, presented it to me as a working HDR setup without mentioning the downgrade, and left my other sources disabled. I ended up diagnosing it myself. I bought a certified replacement cable, swapped only the cable, and everything now works -- genuine 4K HDR, with all sources functioning. The appliance department may be competent, but a misdiagnosis and a picture quietly downgraded and passed off as "working" cost me time, money, and trust. For a home theater install there are more capable options -- and after this, I'd look elsewhere for appliances too.

MODIA wasn't the cheapest, but they were by far the only vendor who were willing to work with us around our desired budget without compromising on the quality/brand of the products we wanted in our setup. Ben Graham is the man ! He was so patient with us without being pushy at all throughout the process, took the time to explain our options and tweaked our quote without being fussy to meet our budget while still maintaining the integrity of the system. We ended up getting our dream setup that included a Stewart grey screen, Sony 4K Projector and Bowers Wilkins for all our speakers across the board. We recently completed the install and it went without a glitch. They took their time to make sure it was done in a clean and professional manner. Johann and his team were able install…read morea motorized TV Mantle Mount on my tile fireplace, and also patch a hole left by the versa box that was originally placed by the builder. They did a beautiful job! Johann answered all my questions from start to finish, explained things in a way that made sense to a non-tech person, and never made me feel stupid for all my questions. My only wish is that I had found him sooner. I had purchased the wrong equipment, wired my house wrong, and installed a versa box which left a hole in my fireplace (all because Tollbrothers had rushed me through the process or frankly gave me the wrong info to start). Johann never acted frustrated that he was dealing with a less than ideal situation. He never showed frustration with the situation, but simply offered me astute work-arounds and solutions. It's obvious that he takes pride in his work and his craft. You can tell he truly enjoys finding solutions and making customers happy. Moreover, it was obvious that Johann takes great pride in the incredible team he has built. Communication between him and all his team members was seamless. Each of the four members that showed up for the install were not only knowledgeable, but they were also kind and respectful. They treated my house with care, cleaned up any messes from the install, and asked if there was anything else they could do to help. Not once did they make me feel rushed for asking questions. It's clear they love their jobs. Expect to get excellent service, immediate and clear communication, and fair prices. I called three other companies who were not as knowledgeable, could not do the job, or did not provide great solutions. Don't bother wasting your time, go straight to WH technologies!
