The nurse did not say hello, how are you & she did not say you look great or mention anything about how my day was going. The nurse gave me a peculiar look like I should not be here. Dr. Ali came in and did not prescribe the capsules to prevent acne and gave me a cream that makes my face dry and itchy in the morning. I put the cream on once and have never put the cream on again. Dr Ali is a lifesaver. She's the 5th Dermatologist I've seen over the years and she found a spot that looked suspicious when she was just checking out a minor cyst I wanted removed. I told her that spot has bothered me (itchy) for a long time, but the previous lady I saw didn't say anything about it. Dr Ali sent off a sample and it came back non-metastatic, but it was still cancer. She changed my next cosmetic appointment to a surgical one and got rid of it ASAP. She has answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, no matter how little they might seem, and is very honest about procedures letting me know that I might not be a good candidate for something rather than trying to make a "sale". I recommend her highly. The rest of the staff I have interacted with are also friendly, tolerant, and helpful all the time and I've been there at least half a dozen times since last year. read more

The office staff here is ridiculous I have tried within one week to contact the office four times and nobody has called me back and this happens every single time that I need to speak to somebody in that office it's ridiculous their customer service skills are beyond lacking I don't understand how this business is even staying afloat with such horrible customer service skills if you want a competent dermatologist do not go to this location at all. Been affiliated with this practice for years. I called to make an appointment today. A quarter sized patch of sun damaged skin on my face that they have for years been monitoring has started to itch and burn. In th past I had been instructed by them to come back immediately for attention should it ever change color or start to itch. I called for an appointment and was offered a date 10 weeks out. I explained that I had been given instructions to come back immediately if this acted up. I was told that the doctors were going on vacation, there was thanksgiving holiday and they were busy, thre was covid...... I asked to be worked in on a priority basis as this problem probably shouldn't wait so long for attention. They would not accommodate and after my being very insistent was transferred to the office manager. The office manager initially was unwilling to do anything and finally after some unpleasant conversation offered an appointment in two weeks with their pa. I again asked for a consultation with a MD and was adamantly refused. I called my general practitioner and was referred to a different dermatological practice that gave me an appointment the following day. I am finished with Texas Dermatology it is not a medical practice I wish to any longer affiliate. Their total unwillingness to accomodate and their totally unsympathetic manner is what you expect from the state motor vehicle bureau; not your physician. I would strongly reccomend using a better and more accommodating medical group. read more

This office is a hot mess. Dr. Sedrak was fine, not the warmest but ok. My main complaint is the office management. Both times I had an appointment and sat in a waiting room full of unhappy people over an hour off schedule. Only after politely "asking" 3 times was I seen. I was ushered in the "out door," it took the nurse less than a minute to remove my stitches, and I was done. No doctor needed. Really? There is no excuse for this kind of schedule failure except overbooking...it's disrespectful to the patient's time and completely inconsiderate. I was just told my daughter needs to be referred to a surgical dermatologist. I told my primary dermatologist I would not be using this one again. read more

I went to this office this morning at 7:45 for an 8 a.m. appointment. Was told to be there 15 minutes early. Office closed. Upon opening, I asked why they weren't open at 7:45 and was told, "that message is only routine". We don't open till 8. I completed all paperwork and listened as another patient was told she did not have an appointment as they were 'double booked'. She showed them her 2 phone confirmations for this morning and was told there was nothing they could do. They said, 'there isn't even a doctor here today anyway, only the PA'. (hhhmmmm, my appointment was to be with a female MD for a total body scan). I was called into the office by a girl who appeared to be about 12 years old and she started asking me all the questions I had spent 15 minutes completing on their forms. I stopped her and asked who I was seeing. Was told, 'we only have Mr. Cheng here today'. HE WILL DO YOUR BODY SCAN. He's a PA'. I told the young girl No, Thank You. I left. Told the front desk not to bill my insurance provider, and got a very nasty reply from one of the front desk people. This is an extremely unprofessional office. read more

I was late for my appt. because I went to the wrong office, but they were nice enough to call over and let them know I was on my way. Everyone was extremely helpful!! read more

I have called twice to make an appointment for something I have already been seen for and you have to call a central number to make appt. at any office. I keep getting this rude girl called Jay who has the worst customer service of anyone I have ever dealt with. When I asked for a manager the first time a month ago she said no one was available, I requested online that someone return my call and no one did so I assume Jay handles the online requests and the kicker is today I call and she was so ignorant and rude I asked for a manager and she said she would see if there was one and I stayed on hold until I hung up. I also read reviews from others about Ali not giving you but a few minutes and rushes out of the room where you feel rushed. This is also my experience and maybe I should thank this rude Jay for keeping me away from this office and forcing me to find another provider that might treat me with more respect! read more

I was a new patient and went to see Dr. Ali and was very disappointed . She was in the room a maximum of 5 minutes to address 3 issues. Prescribed medicine and did not cousel on anything the pages I received. I have 2 message for the office manager and never received a call back. I had a great experience with Cheney Chang, the PA at the office. First of all I got an appointment the day after I called, which was a relief after having called three other dermatologists on my insurance list and the earliest anyone else could get me in was a week and a half away. When you have an itchy rash of unknown origin that your primary care doc misdiagnosed, then you want to see a specialist, like, now! In any case, he was thorough, answered all my questions and listened to my concerns and helped me with a treatment plan. Pleasant, easy to talk to, felt like he knew what he was doing. read more

I signed up for an appointment. Recieved a email confirming that I requested the appointment time, showed up at the requested time and they had no record of my request. The front desk girl said, "sorry we have to call you for your actual appointment or you don't actually have one". Why have an online appointment scheduler if you don't honor the appointment times. Will never go back. Some doctors charge you if you fail to attend your appointment, yet when you take off work and drive 30 miles to your appointment and they don't have the courtesy to see you. You get the raw end of the deal. Perhaps I'll send them an invoice for my travel and money I lost for taking time off. Bet that will go over real well. read more

I am completely disgusted with the total lack of professionalism shown by Dr. Perez. I had an appointment today at 8am and was told to arrive no later than 15 min ahead of time. I arrived ahead of schedule at 7:30 to an office with no lights on. I sat outside the office assuming it would open at 7:45 as I was told, with three other patients until 8:02 am when the office doors were finally opened. Upon signing in, my co-pay was asked of me immediately, which I thought odd but figured it was to hurry along the process, so I went along with it. At 8:07 I was called back to the exam room, asked 2-3 questions about my conditions and lack of improvement and told "I am going to get the dr now, and will be back shortly". At 8:43am I finally emerged from the exam room questioning why I had not been seen, to which I was told the dr. had yet to show up or even have the common courtesy to call him team to advise A. why he was not there, or B. to reschedule his patients. I have never dealt with a dr who had such little care for his patients or reputation. I asked to speak to any dr, or even an office mgr. but was told neither were in office at the Cypress location. I called and asked to speak to Ryan whom I was told is the only office mgr. I have yet to hear back from him, but will hopefully speak to him soon. I hope Dr. Sedrak is informed of the disgusting behavior of his fellow colleague. From an office that is graded so highly, such poor customer service/ lack of compassion for their patients is beyond surprising. read more

DO NOT GO TO THE CYPRESS LOCATION. I saw Cheney Chang, PA. He was nice but that's all I can say about that . The girls there are the worst ,they do not know how to properly verify your insurance. I was trying to get on the prescription for Acutane. This is a long drawn out process which is fine if they could inform you properly on when to the labs and care about obtaining an authorization for it. After being told by the nurse to do the labs the day of my appointment , or after, Cheney Chang PA informed me that I should have done it before. I had my labs done that day . Did not receive a call til yesterday informing that everything in labs were fine and that my prescription was ready to be picked up. I asked her is there anything else that I need to do, she said no. I went to the pharmacy they were not able to release it due to the questionnaire not being completed. Went home and completed, called the pharmacy to make sure I was good to go to pick up prescription. They said it would be ready in 30. ( I get this part is not the office's fault but the following is ) . Just as I pulled up to the pharmacy they apologized to me informing that the insurance required a PA (Prior Authorization) and they spoke to the office informing them that it needed to be done urgently, I only had til the 2nd to pick up the prescription. I left frustrated having to have wasted my afternoon on nothing, called the office left a voicemail asking them to call me asap to let me know if it would be done on time. No call back, I called them today and the nurse was completely rude , spoke back to me in a manner like she putting me in my place I asked to speak to the manager and conveniently she was out of the office. I told her not to bother with the Authorization that I would not be coming back EVER. I could not deal with them another 5 -6 months. I wasted 2 office visits and set of lab work. DO NOT COME HERE . FYI ACUTANE cost over $700.00 you will need an authorization for that , you would think that a Dermatologist office would know that..... think again. Dont waste your time with these people they do not care about your time and money. read more
