I bought a diamond facial through a school PTA auction. The diamond facial was quick and very basic... there was no special massage and the environment was very sterile, but I can't give that a negative review for being nothing more than average. The reason for my bad review was I purchased a moxie laser treatment to be performed in the next month on the recommendation of the Aesthetician. Unfortunately, about two weeks later I had to replace a piece of my flooring and discovered that all of my subfloor needed to be replaced and was going to cost a lot more than I had budgeted. I am a single mother and don't typically treat myself to cosmetic upkeep, but I thought why not treat myself this once. I called and asked for a refund on service that was not even performed or used, and at first they didn't even return my call, so I called again. The manager told me that they could not refund me and that their system couldn't even perform that function. They didn't even offer me the option to cut it from a three pack to one.... just that they we would not help me! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR MONEY!!! read more

There are other places that provide the same services for half the price. The only thing they have going for them is the nice office but the customer service isn't great. Beware of what you sign... I decided to cancel my Coolsculpting because I felt like my questions weren't being answered honestly for the amount of money it costs. So I call and tell them I will not go ahead with the treatment and they said sorry we can't refund you your $6400. Which I didn't understand because I didn't even begin treatment so I wanted my money back. She said I signed a "no refund ageeement" and I did NOT sign said agreement so I will be receiving my money back. Be very careful!!! read more

VERY DIFFICULT TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT. Do not sign up for annual contract. Facial services are good. However, very dissatisfied with the year long contracts. It is extremely difficult to book a service on Saturdays. Obviously Saturdays are days when most people are off work and able to make appointments. It would make sense to have more availability on the weekends. Having 4 or 5 prepaid services with the inability to book services, yet still receiving monthly recurring charge is unfair to the customer. They will not even allow me to book services without continuing charges and just adding to prepaid services I am NEVER able to book. I really don't understand this.... read more

I was in recently in for a consult regarding loose skin and stretch marks I have been trying to get under control on my stomach after having 2 kids. I also noticed in the last 2 years my legs have had an influx of cellulite on the fronts and back of my legs. I am a pretty active and work out atleast 3x a week so it was a shock to see. I was glad I found Ovation Med spa, Consult was extremely professional and the recommendations based on my exact concerns were explained thoroughly. I went with Morpheus a micro-needling technique on my stomach and just after my first visit the results were noticeably remarkable, I noticed the crepe-like skin around my belly button appears to be almost completely corrected and the stretch marks have visibly faded. My overall experience is a 10/10. The staff is professional, attentive, and prompt. I will say that there are 2 people that are fabulous employees-Natalia and Donny, but this spa pushes whatever their latest modality is and there are so many it is way too confusing. I spent thousands of dollars and look worse that when I started honestly. There are too many fabulous med spas in Houston to go here and get stuck on a machine with no expertise. There are package deals you can buy, but if it doesn't work for you then you are stuck. That happened to me twice. Shame on me. Go somewhere there are experts meeting and consulting with you. I bought a Groupon for Skinovative and it's been a good experience so far. This place is like 2 stores down from Nordstrom on the 2nd floor. My esthetician was nice and took the time to explain how laser hair removal works. The office is like a combination feel of a spa and a dentist office. I appreciated the call the day after to check-in on me. If you guys bought a Groupon, be sure to print it out. They can't do the show-it-on-your phone deal. However, they were kind of enough to let me bring it in the next time. My wait time was definitely longer than the actual treatment itself. The only complaint I have (pretty minor) is that I was scoffed at by whoever called me the previous day to confirm my appointment. She had called me Kristin, I told her my name is Kristine, and then I get a scoff. Shrug. It's ok. Maybe she had a bad day. read more

I recently had an IPL photofacial which I purchased from one of the online discount sites. The receptionist was a bit on the cold side, but the spa is clean and bright, but reminiscent of a dentist's office. Maybe the cold reception was given because I was using a coupon? Putting initial impressions aside, my esthetician, Amber, was fantastic. Amber talked me through the process and even calmed me in my nervousness. Although the procedure was more painful than I had anticipated, I got great results. Don't be fooled by commercials - photofacials do hurt. Amber performed two passes with the laser and talked me through the treatment. A large majority of my freckles darkened and flaked off within a few days and many of the broken capillaries on my face have diminished. I've also had laser treatment on those pesky buggers that look like red spiderwebs and I have to admit that the photofacial helped minimize their appearance. Within a few days of treatment, my skin's appearance exceeded my expectations and I'm definitely going to take Amber's advice on getting 3 more photofacial treatments. Amber definitely knows what she is doing and deserves 5 stars. She educates you on the process and makes recommendations on how you can achieve beautiful skin like hers. After two weeks, I can see that about 75 percent of the hyper-pigmentation has disappeared and my skin looks years younger. I am definitely becoming a laser addict. Age gracefully? The pixel Q laser is ineffective. I had a living social "deal" and got suckered into purchasing and additional package in order to see results. And I spent $405 on a package which required three visits. Each visit was around 15 minutes. Its so expensive and I didn't see results. Daj (technician) promised i would see some results (thought she couldn't guarantee perfect results). However, I saw NO IMPROVEMENT. EACH visit i asked why i don't see results in a futile attempt. I bought an IPL facial treatment for this spa on Living Social coupon site. I have had a bad experience in the past when I bought a LivingSocial IPL from another med spa. However, Ovation was excellent. Daj, the aesthetician, did a wonderful job with the IPL and I have fantastic results. She used moderate laser strength, not low power like some of the other places I have been. She did two passes. I had good darkening of hyperpigmented areas, which later sloughed off to reveal a decrease in the hyperpigmentation. I also have an improved appearance in areas where I have of broken capillaries. Overall, a great experience! Would definitely return to this med spa, especially if they ran another Living Social special. read more

I have always had great experiences at Ovation. Lori is very sweet at reception and always knows it's me when I call and she always calls to follow up after any procedure . The Intracel treatment I had seems to have been very effective, and Daj is the best botox injector ever. Elena is also very good at what she does, and Marie is really fun and upbeat. My only problem with Ovation is they play this wierd Christian music all the time, from some Christian radio station, and it is a little too evangelical for my taste. I prefer to relax and not be preached to. Maybe they could just play some jazz or something instead? read more

I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal and my overall experience with Ovation has not been good. First, scheduling has been a nightmare. Each and every time I have scheduled appointments (I bought a series of 6) has been a little different. At first, they would schedule your next appointment during your current appointment. Then they said they could no longer do that and you had to call to schedule; however, when you called, all of the convenient appointments are booked up way out, so you either need to take time off of work or wait a really long time between appointments. Second, the quality has not been great. The estheticians I have had have all varied in their attention to detail, how many times they pass over the treated area, and how thorough they are in the treatment. As expected, my results have been only mediocre. I still have to shave the treated areas as often as I did before, so I consider the treatment a failure. Finally, both the women working at the reception desk and the estheticians were not particularly friendly or helpful. Some were more rude than others, but I never looked forward to interacting with them. If I had to do it over again, I would not have bought the Groupon; it was not worth it, even at a discount. I do not recommend Ovation Med Spa for any treatment. read more

I went in for a Nano Laser Peel and the experience was amazing! The staff was super amazing, I was introduced to everyone there including the owner. I was literally made to feel at home. I had no wait time, I was shown into the room and Maria explained the procedure and off we went. The procedure was painful but I have got to say that the pain was WORTH IT!! My skin is like a babies bottom. Exactly what Maria said would happen, happened! First night I couldn't sleep but that's to be expected and after that you just see your skin start to shed and new skin come in. My experience at Ovation was amazing and I am definitely visiting again, they keep up with the latest treatments so I definitely want to see what else they offer. I have been going to Ovation Med Spa for several months and have to say it is, by far, the best I have visited over the past few years. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted both friendly and professional with wait time being minimal, always under 5 minutes. Of the several different treatments received, the full details of the procedures have been thoroughly explained to my satisfaction each and every time. Results have been amazing and could not be more pleased. With their research center being there as well, Ovation Med Spa is able to provide "state of the art" procedures much like you would find in L.A. I am especially fond of Maria and am also seeing Dodge for procedures and have to say that their kindness, professionalism, and ability to make you comfortable goes a long way with me. I was there twice and was lost both times. Fortunately, their staff was so professional and friendly that they were very helpful both times. Especially the second time, I was very frustrated that this happened again but their front desk handled the pressure very well. I have come here several times over the years for various services. The (?) owner/manager that is a male is very professional and helpful. Some of the staff is also very professional and has been very, very caring. Others act kind of strange for a semi-medical establishment. I too have been scoffed at, judged openly, and it even almost seems as if a few of the MUCH YOUNGER technicians were jealous of me. Seems like I should be coveting their youth!!! Anyway, I didn't appreciate it at all. They don't do near as good a job as the other technicians either. because of. I've had a number of treatments at Ovation Med Spa and I've tried other facilities as well. After noticing the "one star" reviews came from Groupon or other coupon type folks, I felt I needed to provide a review - either the old saying of "those who pay the least complain the most" is true or these folks have not tried other places. My last treatment at Ovation was an Excilis (spelling?) face treatment. My technician, as always, was well versed in the device and what is was doing. The technicians have drilled into me that one treatment is not magic. The skin and body require time and more than one treatments to significantly improve. And they have also drilled into me that everyone's results vary due to lifestyle, genetics etc. I've been extremely happy with the results I've seen from the various treatments I've had at Ovation. Their staff are professional, knowledgeable and skilled, the facility really does have the best equipment (the latest technology that actually provides results), and the owner is honest and ethical. I will be a fan for life as long as they continue doing what they do now - providing great treatments for a competitive price and typically better price. read more

I had the pixel Q switch and have been happy with the results. It's not as intense or as Thermage or, I assume, Ultherapy but the effects are a subtle brightening and very light lift. I've had in the past thermage, fraxel laser treatment, and IPL treatment so in comparison this is not a dramatic change. I have been happy with my experience and my technician Phylis is phenomenal. She's made some recommendations but isn't trying to "sell" me something ineffective or that I cannot afford. I did not give them 5 stars because of pricing, although I do feel they're reasonable. All these treatments are pricey, everywhere. I will continue various treatments here. read more

very nice folks but no one there has any real medical training so it is a bit of false advertising to call this a "med" spa. I had Vanquish for my tummy bulge above my belly button. When it didn't do anything I spoke to my regular Dr about it, he said I have a hernia and anyone with any kind of medical training would have known that with one look. We were clients at Ovation Med Spa for almost two years paying a $99 monthly maintenance fee for managing our creams. Over a year ago, I went on my last appointment and told the girl we wanted to cancel because we are doing something completely different. She said ok and wrote some notes and said she would take care of it. In November of 2017, I saw it was still on my statement each month even though I had canceled a year prior. After calling them and giving them the timeline of events, she said she would see what she could do but cancellations had to be in writing. My next question is why didn't the person representing your business remind me that as I would have done it right then. Her response was that it was on the paper we signed two years prior. I'm sure that's correct but not having any of that with me I feel their representative should have informed me again and I would not be having his issue. Today, two months after I spoke with them and over a year since I requested to cancel, they still haven't removed it. I've handled the payments through American Express from here on out but it's inexcusable that they would have an ill-informed person at the front desk and STILL continue to collect payments even after I called and wages my concern. Need I say in the two years we were there, we never saw the face of a doctor. Our P A has since left as well so I suggest finding a more professional and transparent place to manage any of the needs that they provide. read more

Be care when using services at Ovation Med Spa. Once they get your money your not going to get it back if you have a problem and owner will avoid you. Also very difficult to get an appointment. To top it all off I had the Vanquish treatment which is a Hoax. Did not work at all. The owner painted a very bright picture for me but the procedure is not painless at all. It burns and is uncomfortable so you have to suffer through four treatments only to discover it does not work and sorry no refund for that treatment or any other treatments you have paid for in advance. Wish I had a business where I could collect money for future services and then when My customer discovers they are a lie They can't get their money back. Before my treatment I felt confident wearing no makeup or only tinted moisturizer, now I only feel comfortable going out in public with full makeup.
