I'm disappointed to say the least. I originally came in with the interest of have three microdermabrasion sessions with medical-grade facials. After consultation, I was advised to swap out my request service with a Medical Grade Facial, RF treatment, derma-planning, and level 1 peel ($250 total). I received the service today and these were my issues. - I attempted to ask the esthetician questions about the new products that I purchased and she kept advising me that all of the information will be included in a packet provided with the products. She was unable to answer my questions and address my concerns. - The esthetician said she would be completing my peel and then the dermaplane. I asked for clarification if she would be doing the peel prior to dermaplanning and she confirmed. I was concerned because through my 8 years of experience receiving skin care treatment, it has always been done post dermaplanning so that the product is better absorbed by the skin. - The facial only consisted of a double cleanse. There were no extractions performed at all. I'm not sure what a medical-grade facial consists of, but I was expecting to at least have extractions done. That was a huge disappointment because it was honestly the main concern that I wanted addressed. - The dermaplanning not thorough at all. I posted several photos so that you can see there is still plenty of hair and dead skin on my face. I honestly do a better job dermaplanning myself at home. - This salon is more concerned with making sales than the treatment of your skin. This is always very uncomfortable. The cost of skin treatment is never cheap, and aggressive sales tactics don't make the experience any more relaxing. All in all, I am sad and disappointed in the entire experience. Like I said, these treatments are pricey, so it's important to find a spa that is skilled in the craft. For these many reasons, I would not recommend Le Lux Beautique. read more

Any Groupon coupon or voucher you come into LeLux Beautique with will be attempted to be converted into another service of a much larger price along with the grand hopes that a person will sign up for a $4000 membership. NONE OF WHICH IS REFUNDABLE SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL ANYTHING!!! Let me say it again, no service, product, or good is refundable no matter what they may state to you. You WILL ONLY RECEIVE a store credit after the they've obtained your money. This business has and will attempt to collect monies in advance for any service you've not received, but have made plans to receive through a constructed plan of medical services which they'll advise you to purchase. RED FLAG #2: They may attempt to tell you they will apply your voucher amount to any principal balance you have, but will later renig in stating "we don't receive full payment from Groupon. Please ask Groupon to cancel or refund your money." The explanation behind this method is to have you pay their facility the full price you originally paid for the voucher itself when its refunded from Groupon. It also prevents the person from leaving a review with Groupon as Groupon's review is only triggered when the merchant states you've redeemed the voucher. Crafty....and I do mean "craft"-ty. This is misleading and unethical business practice. RED FLAG #3: It's highly possible you may be informed, as they did me, the dermatologist (Doctor) sends his clients, at a separate facility, to them to perform work. Keep in mind, these are the people titled to work "under" the care of physicians. A doctor is not going to send his patients to another who works under his/her supervision whom is not as skilled as a physician....and with less knowledge. RED FLAG #4: They are super pushy in their sales tactics. When you say no to one thing (a known contracted service), they will offer something else to you (a bundled service) which they may state to you isn't contracted, but later disclose that it is a contracted service. PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND ALL BUNDLED SERVICES, IF PURCHASED, ARE CONTRACTED. THIS IS HOW THEY WIN ALL OF THEIR CHARGE BACKS. RED FLAG #5: Should you ask for the owner's name (tax assessor's office and secretary of state website can give you this) and/or the financial managers' names, do know you will probably not receive the information requested and will experience extremely distasteful reactions as they do not want to give the information to anyone. RED FLAG #6: They will more than likely attempt to keep your money should you cancel the services by discontinuing one's visits to the facility. Therefore services cannot be provided. You now have a balance without being able to receive services. If this occurs, go back to your band and obtain your money via the process of dispute. RED FLAG #7: If you request your file's documents, they will wait for eternity to dialogue about sending information. Prior to stating they will send the material, they will inform you a $50 fee is due to "extract and prepare" the electronic material signed. Le Lux's business practice is HIGHLY DECEPTIVE. You can decide to have services provided here, BUT I HIGHLY discourage receiving your services at the LeLux Beautique facilities as I've firsthand witnessed how they treat customers and are inappropriate in business ethics. Run from this place. If you are looking for a relaxing & quality facial, this is not the place. I'll give you a little insight to what its like so you never have to go and experience it. I arrived at 4pm for my appointment, didn't leave until 6pm. Only 40 min of that was my facial. The rest was being uncomfortable while three different women tried to sell me on thousands of dollars of procedure, injections, facials, a membership, and product. They perpetually tried to upsell literally anything & everything. Somehow, the worst part is waking up with two major circular stretches on & around my nose. I purchased a Groupon package where I would be able to get a facial with a microdermabrasion. Unfortunately I was told that a note was left on my account that I didn't qualify for that treatment. I just personally believe if I pay for a treatment give it to me or give me a refund. Although Veronica was nice she recommended an uncharged service. $99 for a facial. Calling bank first thing Tuesday to dispute regardless of the fact they told me that they win all charge backs disputes. That is telling, how many chargebacks do you get? I'll try to keep this short. Before the pandemic I got a membership. I lost my job. I tried to get them to cancel the membership since I only went once and never used it after. They did not care one bit. I begged them to please stop the monthly payments. Not only do I have a huge bill on my cc I can't even use the service. They will kick you when you are down and do nothing to work something out with you. Other businesses were very understanding about canceling membership. Find my reviews because I am reporting this business for putting pressure on customers to get extra services and for the manager to be unprofessional and also train the personnel to be not ethical. For some reason, when I spoke to Cherry they did not seem to be surprised about your policies to manage your business. I wish there was a rating lower than one star. I made an appointment for a McVoil Smoothing treatment. I booked the appointment for same afternoon, and the girl's schedule was wide open-completely blank for the afternoon. When I arrived I was greeted warmly, then went to the back with the girl who was going to do my treatment. She explained to me that the treatment which I had booked was not, in fact, a keratin treatment and would only last 3-maybe 4 months. She told me the aftercare was not included as stated in the ad. I realized that this treatment was the same as the Pravana Perfection SmoothOut Solution which I can use myself at home (I can't recommend this highly enough- get online and buy it and watch the YouTube videos on the application directions). I was under the impression that the treatment that I booked was something that would make my hair stick straight and last for 6 months. I explained to the girl-her name was Elda and she was very nice- that I didn't want to spend almost $150 for something that I could do at home myself. At this point the manager came over and gave me the hard sell, pressured me and made me feel like a moron for not wanting the treatment . I would not be bullied and tried to leave the salon. The gatekeeper receptionist told me I needed to pay $50 for the cancellation. I told her that I had just booked that same morning and Elda's schedule was wide open all afternoon so I didn't really believe that she had to turn down appointments because of me. She threatened me that she had my card on file and she would charge me the $50 anyway. I REALLY wish I would of read these reviews before hand. I too purchased a Groupon for a for a facial. (I have worked in sales, so I expected for the sales pitch, that didn't bother me) Since I am really into skin care, I thought "why not spend the extra money, and start a new monthly treatment". So I go through the facial with Kaela Florentino, and I specifically asked her "is this going to make me peel? I have an event this weekend, where I will need to put on makeup, and I can't have skin flaking off from a peel" She assured me that everything would be fine! And to my surprise about 3 days later, I was peeling like a rattle snake smh. On top of that, my boyfriend thought I had been attacked by a cat, on my neck, its obvious the microdermabrasion was way too intense. This was my first facial, and I'm not the type to complain, so I just sat through it, but she really needs to be more careful on first time clients. Now lets get into why the one star... So I made a second appointment with them (yea I know big mistake) for two weeks ahead. Even confirmed my appoint two days before. As life happens, I had a family emergency and was not gonna be able to make it to my appointment on Tuesday. So I immediately called on Monday at 3:05 (they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's) and left a voicemail, with my number saying I wasn't going to be able to make it Tuesday at 9am. So instead of trying to reschedule my appointment, these dogs decide to still charge me the $50 no show fee, because even though I did call the day before. It wasn't technically 24 hours. SERIOUSLY??? I even asked the girl on the phone "So if someone was in an accident on the way to their appointment, your still gonna charge them?" and she PROUDLY says "yes, we have a strict policy". WHO SAYS THAT????? Here is some advice, instead of loosing out on somebodies business ALL TOGETHER, because it's obvious you guys are struggling for clients, why not just try and reschedule?? Because if I spent $100 the first time, I'm obviously willing to spend that, if not more the next time. Especially, if somebody has the common courtesy to call you at all, let alone exactly 24hours before! I called Le Lux Beautique inquiring about a promotion they had with their strongest form of hair keratine treatment and booked a date. However I had some unexpected things happen around the time of my appointment and Veronica at the front desk did her very best to accommodate my situation in order to keep my appointment available for me. I really appreciated this. Thankfully I was able to go to my appointment which they held for me. Then when I got to the salon everyone was very welcoming and polite . Elda was the one who applied the keratine. She did a wonderful job and is a very pleasant person just like everyone else at Le Lux. It's been a month and I'm still happy with my treatment (I got the strongest type done and I have wavy middle eastern hair which was bleached and fried). I am so sooo happy with my results. Grace is extremely friendly and upbeat and I enjoyed her personality, but her desire to make money supersedes her true work ethic and ability to care for her customer. I have been a customer for almost a year and spent $$$$$ !!!! for various procedures that I thought were going to give me certain results. I did receive minimal results I am still upset at myself that I kept spending and going back thinking that the service was going to make a big difference. I definitely got swindled. Every time I went in for a prepaid EXPENSIVE service I was highly pressured to purchase more services or products and to pay tips to those preforming my services. I have to admit I struggle to say no and feel victim to a great marketing and sales pitching. After realizing that the skin tightening service was not going to give me the results that I had hoped for and I had paid $$$$$ that I had and we rolled credit into another package to buy fillers and botox. I was VERY hesitant about the under eye fillers and was worried about it but after a pressured consultation I agreed and ended up buying the most expensive filler. After the procedure I had terrible bruising (which some of it was anticipated), but some of it was not anticipated but what was most troubling was an allergic reaction. that has caused welts under my eyes that I now have to live with. My eyes have noticeable welts and when someone who sees me they look at me and say "what happened" . During my follow up Grace wanted to inject my eyes with another product to break up the welts and after 8 weeks I was quite emotional and worried that it would only exasperate and make the situation and make the allergic reaction worse. In addition, I feared I would end up with more long term bruising. I told her this but she continued to push the procedure. When I told her no for the second time she said that she would check to see if there was something else she could do. I got up and went to the reception and asked for my billing statement I had asked for them prior to seeing Grace and the receptionist said Grace would have them. I have asked on several occasions for my billing info. The reply in the past is you can get it online we sent you the link. When I open the link the pricing for the packages are missing and what I discussed with her and signed on her Ipad,........ and what I have received are much different. I feel we have at least a $1000 discrepancy they say 150. Grace walks to the receptionist desk I am trying to explain my concerns about the billing with my swollen eyes and after spending $$$$$ !!!!! copious amounts of money I was getting frustrated trying to explain to her that my understanding of our last agreement did not equate to hers. I went on to explain that I did not feel that the results that I had gotten from a VERY large investment were fair. Grace then said that she had offered to do injections into my eyes to try and break up the allergic reaction. I had already told her NO 3x and at this point I was frustrated and had already told her I was afraid what would happen. I grew more upset and felt taken advantage of . This business had gotten a very large sum of money from me and now that they had what they wanted from me, it did not matter to them that I was stuck with my situation of needing help to understand my billing or had big welts under my eyes only to offer me more injections in my eyes. I said to her " I told you I do not want to stick another needle into my flippin eye" I did not curse I said flipping. She said you can't talk to me that way and you need to leave my store I said in calm manner absolutely. I am writing this review as a warning to others. DO NOT GO HERE. Yes I found them through Groupon. It is just a scam to get you in the door. They will sales pitch you for a good 30 minutes and try to "upgrade" you another $210 for a more customized facial. Even if you say no, during the facial you she will stop and try to up sell you on services so forget about relaxing. Once out of your 25 minute facial, you can expect a wall of products they aggressively push for you to purchase as well as a monthly membership. As for the facial, not very good. Normally when I leave a facial I'm normally glowing and relaxed. So I purchased a microdermabrasion + facial package. Groupon was having their 20% off special so I decided to go for their 3-series package. I mean $87 for a microdermabrasion and facial is an awesome deal. Wait for it..... A part of the Groupon's requirements is that you have to attend a consultation. I've been through a consultation before... it's basically a sales pitch, so I was prepared. Graciela was really nice and she seemed to know what she was talking about and she has beautiful skin. She recommended that I do a series of Green peels to get rid of the bacteria under my skin and help get rid of my scarring and unevenness. Sure... I've done peels before and I know that for my skin type it's needed. I was gauging it would be probably $500 for the 3 series... um, no. It's $535 for each peel PLUS an additional $120 for a REQUIRED follow-up facial. However, she said she would throw in the follow-up for free. That just insults me. If it is required, throw it in for free in the first place and don't make me think you're making me feel special. $535 for a peel is pretty outrageous for me. I'm used to doing it for $100 and it does the job. So I passed on it because I told her I didn't want to do a peel where I would be peeling over the weekend, which is true. Peels required unique scheduling because I am very busy with 3 kids. Moving on, my Groupon only included a basic facial, so she recommended I do a salicylic treatment for an ADDITIONAL $140, extractions for an ADDITIONAL $40 and a high frequency treatment for an ADDITIONAL $140, but she was going to do all 3 for only $140. Again, INSULTED. A lot of places throw all this in with the price of the facial. Yes the Groupon value of the facial is $39 but they are valuing the service at microderm + facial at $150, add on the extra services it adds up to $470. Are you kidding me? So I told her pass and she asked if I wanted extractions for $50. No. She just said they were $40 but since I didn't do any additional services, she had to add in the extra $10. It really irks me when you try to sell stuff to Groupon purchasers... I mean do you think I really have $2000 to spare when I just purchased your service at a major discount? I didn't get to the worst part. So my appointment actually said I was going to do the facial with someone else, but Graciela actually ended up doing it. Great, she's probably upset I didn't purchase anything.... and honestly, I actually felt it. She was pretty rough on my face and did not feel like a soothing facial at all. She cleansed my face, started the microderm right away for a few minutes of scrubbing, then put a mask on, wiped that off, then applied some kind of oil and then spritzed my face. Guess how long that took? TWENTY MINUTES! What kind of microderm + facial service that costs $150 lasts 20 minutes??? Insulted AGAIN! And they need to redo their lighting configuration, the lights were on on side of the room and shining into my face. Not soothing at all! As I go to the receptionist to check out, I don't know if it was because I was already annoyed, but the receptionist kept saying REPEATEDLY that the products I have been using are really bad for my face, I mean really bad. I came in after purchasing a special for 3 blow outs on Groupon. After meeting their persuasive staff, I was encouraged to do a microdermabrasion at the $39 rate which I was told was offered for 1 session on Groupon. Given that I had already purchased the new customer blow out special on Groupon, they told me they would just honor the new client microdermabrasion price and to pay it in the salon. I was pleased by the microdermabrasion experience. I thought the staff was a little forceful in selling products and services but other than that my experience was ok. A few months later I was perusing Groupon and found that they have a special for 3 microdermabrasions for 117 total. I called the salon and asked them if I could pay the difference and get two more sessions. Whoever had answered my call was highly unprofessional and slightly condescending in telling me that this was not an option and not to bother talking to the manager. I asked either way if I could speak with the manager as sometimes they are flexible in offering their promotions. I was then told by the manager, Grace, that she absolutely would not be able to accommodate this request, as it is for new clients only. I told her I had never been offered the 3 microdermabrasion introductory bundle at the beginning, and if I had, I would've purchased it on that same day. She continued to be rigid and inflexible, although it was their mistake for not offering this to begin with. I would go back for their microdermabrasion, however their customer service is poor, their management is inflexible, and they seem to absolve themselves of responsibility when they make mistakes initially. I have seen multiple other salons with similar services who are more welcoming to their customers, more receptive to flexibility after making mistakes, and much more humble in their business practice. read more

Awful experience- marketing scam! I had an appointment at 10am for a Microderm. After 45 mins and a sales pitch, I asked when my appointment would take place. She said I only had a consultation appointment which was clearly not true! The pricing is so random and poorly given. I would not trust these people giving you a facial because they just want to sell their randomly priced products. Be aware! Time and money consuming. So many other great options in Houston! And the rude part is they charged me for a service I have never received! I already will consult a lawyer about this shady business! They should not be able to run their business!! My boyfriend bought a Groupon for a microdermabrasion facial. My face felt amazing and looked amazing after leaving. The passion that Graciela has for her work was inspirational. She was so informative and really knew her stuff. She schooled me on face products and skin. I actually learned a lot. I ended up buying about $100 worth of face products. I have super oily skin and I thought it was because my skin was over hydrated. Come to find out I know nothing and it was because of the complete opposite. My skin is actually really dry and that's why I produce so much oil on my face. She recommended a hydrator and you will see my purchase in the pic below. Went with 2 friends to get blowouts before a wedding. Very hard to schedule, we each called over 10 times before someone called us back. Then they changed my time the day before and tried to tell my friend they didnt have room for her when she called to confirm, but we reminded them we made our appointments over a month in advance. The blowouts were sub par. Not as good as what you get at Drybar. 2 of my friends hair fell within the hour, the style did not hold. Mine made it a little longer. We used groupons and each paid $15 or $20 for them. When we went to check out, each of us were charged an extra $10 for long hair (which they described as anything below chin length) and another $10 for using hot tools, like a curling iron. No one told us while we were getting our hair done that we would be incurring extra fees. So basically we got crappy blowouts for the same price as nice blowouts at Drybar. What a scam. I was greeted by Grace for an extremely cheesy consult. Despite the cheesy consult, the facial was amazing so I purchased a package of 6 sessions. After 3 sessions, my face is not any better. Grace is only concerned with adding new customers, not taking care of the ones that keep the lights on. The second session I had a Rookie who was a joke and I called the salon on it, since I was told Grace would be my aesthetician from the beginning. Every single appt. has run at least 30 minutes late but today was the last time. I laid in the room for 45 MINUTES while I listened to Grace laugh and upsell another unsuspecting client. Unacceptable. I got up, got dressed and left in almost tears. I feel so humiliated for buying into this stupid place. I booked an appointment here 3 weeks prior to when I needed my lashes done. A week prior to my appointment, I received a call from the salon to ask me if I'd be willing to move my appointment from 11:30am to 4pm -- 4.5 hours later than planned -- because they had a tight schedule. I was simply baffled and disagreed since I booked 3 weeks ago!!! I just could not believe that they could not keep their appointment book straight and were calling customers to ask them to shuffle their schedule around to meet the salon's--simply ridiculous but at this point, since they agreed to just push my appointment 30mn and I didn't want to research other salons I stuck to them. The day of the appointment, I show up at noon and was made to wait for an hour before someone finally approached me to apologize and to let me know that they were running behind schedule (duh!!! I had not realized an hour into sitting there playing with my thumbs and being ignored!!) and it would take a few more minutes. It was simply unacceptable; I was not going to give them anymore of my time!!! I told this person I just wanted to cancel and walked out eyelash-less, disappointed and upset. Another observation is that as I was sitting there waiting, another customer entered and also had an appointment for an eyelash application as well as a facial. When she signed in, the girl at the desk told her her appointment wasn't until 3 or 4pm but the client said it wasn't correct. Ofcourse the salon told her to have a seat and somehow she got in before me, maybe because she was getting her facial first but regardless, this was clear proof of this business poor operations and lack of organization. My time is precious to me and if this business or any business cannot respect that, I'm always glad to go to the competition. In this case it was just extremely frustrating as this was for a wedding I was attending plus I had never gotten my eyelashes done and had been waiting 3 weeks for it so was super excited. I bought a Groupon for a $20 blowout and feel that it was definitely worth it. As with Blow Dry Bar and similar places, they do charge extra to flatiron your hair after the blow drying, which was mentioned to me when I made the appointment. The upcharge was a little ridiculous ($20) but the total cost was still less than the same service at Blow Dry Bar. I was happy with my hair but cannot give them a good review for a couple of reasons. As mentioned in other reviews the sales pitches here are a little uncomfortable. You would think that the negative feedback in this regard would cause them to scale back on it but no, as I was sitting in the chair getting my hair done the owner held a product up to my nose and insisted I smell it and was going on and on about how good their products smell and how she loves them. When I checked out she was pushing several different specials including med spa procedures like laser hair removal and Botox. I would never ever ever get such an invasive procedure from a hair stylist. I think they should just focus on hair. The reason I have to give 2 stars is something else other reviewers have mentioned - a lack of concern for my time. Of course my stylist had no idea that I made special arrangements with my in laws to babysit for only one hour for the appointment. I assured them a blow out never takes more than a hour. was flabbergasted when my stylist asked me during my blowout if I minded whether she went to go shampoo her co-worker's hair. I hesitated and then said ok but was kicking myself for it because I definitely did mind. My time is precious and this was very unprofessional and rude. Literally the worst blow out I have ever gotten. The stylest started me 40 min after my appointment and took over an hour to do my hair. I was late to my event due to how slow she was. The woman prior to me complained about her results and mine were even worse. They used so much product that my hair was greasy and weighed down. She was unable to follow simple requests and difficult to communicate with. Additionally- when I scheduled the appointments they were both booked on the wrong day even after repeating the time and day more than once. Very elegant and clean place. Customer service was good, everyone was very nice and sweet; not to mention gorgeous! Consultation was nice but took awhile; though very informative. They were understanding and not pushy when I declined the extra services. Facial was very gentle; maybe a bit more firmer would be better. It was like she was only running her fingers along my skin and not really massaging the skin. The microdermabrasion could use some improvement too because several spots on my face were missed; left forehead, between eyes, side of nose, and chin.
