Dr Bridges & her team is simply Amazing! I broke my fibula before Christmas. I got an appointment right away. Doctor Bridges show me the injury on the X-rays and explained clearly my treatment options. We made an appointment for surgery between Christmas and New Year at Memorial Herman Surgery Center on Kingsland. Amanda, her surgery coordinator even found me an appointment in an urgent care facility to get a surgery clearance since my doctor office was closed for the holidays and many medical facilities overbooked with people seeking Covid testing for holiday travel. Doctor Bridges operated on me on December 28th. She came to see me before surgery to explain everything and gave me reinsurance. She is so sweet and comforting. Few days after surgery I had some nerve pain. She had given me her cellular phone number so I was able to contact her easily. She send quickly a prescription to my pharmacy. During the follow up visits to change the dressing, the nurses were friendly, caring and gentle. They took X-rays at every visit to assess the healing process. The doctor explained thoroughly what to expect, gave a time frame on expected progress and answered all my questions. I am now waddling in my walking boot and mending well. This doctor is going above and beyond for her patients. I am very thankful for her outstanding care! My tip: Do not go anywhere else! read more

My husband had an in grow for years avoiding the doctors because he feared how bad they would judge. I persuaded him to come here and it was the best. Everyone was friendly and reassured him that they've seen everything and while doing the procedure they were so caring and so clear with instructions. I hurt my ankle looked on Yelp and found this fine establishment. I called and had an appointment with Dr. Applegate. The staff was professional and genuinely concerned about my ankle. The new patient process was quick and they called be back in approximately 15 minutes or so. Dr. Applegate was very informative, he discussed that a sprang ankle diagnosis is very broad on the spectrum. I please with his quality of care and attention to detail. I have been chasing my issue for 3 years. I went to 5 different doctors. My primary, rheumatologist, dermatologist, orthopedic, and finally Dr. Bridges. Dr. Bridges nailed down my issue in minutes! After 3 years and a hell of a lot of pain, she cracked the case! Dr. Bridges was extremely professional, knew exactly what was going on, and literally 'fixed' me with proper insoles and ankle braces. Super expensive service. I took my daughter for her yellow nail, and they submitted for analysis and guess what. They charged me $200 for the appointment and follow up and then three months after $1,400 for this "analysis". Insane. Be careful with Sagis Pathology (Its partner). Results? she does have fungus but cannot be treated due to she is younger than 18 years. Something that we already know from the beginning. read more

I saw Dr. Applegate on referral from a friend. AMAZING. Dr. A and his staff have minimized my Plantar Fasciitis pain with inserts, exercises and compression. NO shots or surgery. I visited Texas Foot and Ankle Spec. based on reviews I found here on Yelp. I am so glad that I did! Funny enough, I felt it was meant to be as we walked into the office and realized that it was the same office space that our Primary Care Doc (Dr. Foster) had just moved out of. Dr. Applegate and ALL of his staff that we met were very nice and helpful. The customer service of the team, combined with the expertise and bedside manner of Dr. Applegate is top notch. My 13 year old had a plantar wart on her foot, and I had never dealt with warts before. After over-the-counter things didn't work at all, I searched Yelp, and we came to Dr. Applegate. The wart was gone after three treatments. We came back fro a follow-up two weeks later to make sure it was gone for good. The visits were short- very little wait and the treatment was prompt. Dr. Applegate was always open to answering any questions, and on our last visit, even gave me some free advice on a question I had on one of my nails. Turns out that Acetone and certain nail polishes can cause white spots on the nail. He talked me off the ledge for fear that I had some sort of fungus- haha! If we ever have another need for a foot specialist, we will definitely come back to TFAS! read more
