My problems with Texas Health Surgery Center of Cleburne began on September 10, 2025, when I was there for an injection into my lower back with Dr. Scott Berlin. The pre-operative team was great; however, the problems started with the Anesthesiologist. As I was getting onto the table and the nurse was prepping my lower back, the Anesthesiologist made a very inappropriate comment about my butt. Then, in post-op, I was woken up by the nurse quickly raising the head of the gurney. I then asked the nurse to please lower the head back down, and she refused. I explained it was uncomfortable and was making me dizzy. As the room started to spin, I asked for meds to help with the dizziness, and they refused to provide relief. The post-op team then told me it was time for me to go home and started dressing me. After that, a nurse moved my legs off the gurney and put me in a wheelchair. I told them again that I could not see straight, they responded with "it should pass soon, let us get you to the car. My visit on September 29, 2025, was similar, except that my issues began at check-in. I arrived on time and signed in. However, I was not acknowledged until about an hour after I arrived. I watched as the front desk staff discussed what to have for lunch and prepared for a team photo. Again, the pre-op team was excellent. However, once again, the same Anesthesiologist made the same inappropriate comment about my butt. This time, I did mention to him that the comment was "creepy". In post-op, the same thing happened. I asked to lower my head, and I was told no; it is time to go home. I again was dizzy and the room was spinning. I told the nurse, and she took out my iv and put me in the wheelchair without anything to resolve the dizziness. On October 20, 2025, things got worse. I woke up from my procedure with 10/10 pain. I was given pain meds; however, the pain was still very intense. I was told there was nothing more they could give me, and a nurse tried to take out my IV. I told them no, I was not ready to be discharged because of uncontrolled pain. They offered oral pain meds, but I refused because I needed something more fast-acting. Again, the team told me there was nothing more they could do for me, and it was time for me to leave. I also overheard a nurse tell another member that I was drug seeking. Dr. Berlin then informed me that if I choose, I could go to the ER for pain management, but the facility could not give me anything else. I told him that was fine and asked him to arrange for a transfer. He said, "We do not do that; you will have to go on your own." My last experience was on November 3, 2025. This time, I asked to have my escort in pre- and post op with me due to my past experiences, and I was told by Dr. Berlin that "we do not do that unless you are an infant." The Cleburne Surgery Center website states, "You and your family or escort will stay in the room until it is time for your surgery." As well as "During surgery, your escort will stay in a waiting area and will rejoin you in the recovery area after your surgery." https://cleburnesurgical.com/during-your-stay/check-in-and-admission/ I was then spoken to by Dr. Berlin and the Director of Nursing, and I voiced my concerns about my post-op experience. I was then reprimanded for my actions during the post-op period on October 20, 2025. I tried to explain my actions and that, after how I have been treated, I did not feel safe without a non-biased witness (escort), but was met with veiled threats. During Pre-Op, I was given extra attention to ensure we did not have a repeat of the last visit. I assured them that I am not that person; I need proper pain management and maybe extra time in post-op. They told me that most people only need 15 minutes from when they arrive at post-op to when they leave. Once I got into the OR, the Anesthesiologist jokingly called me a problem child and again commented on my butt and also my choice of underwear. Once I was in post, I was again woken up by the swift raising of my head. I asked the nurse to lower my head, and she stated, "Do not start, you have been counseled." I told her, "You are fired" (meaning that she was no longer in my care team). She said, " No, Im not and called for the DON. By this time, I am in tears. The DON came over and told me what was going on, and I repeated the encounter. I asked again for my head to be lowered because it was uncomfortable for me to sit like that, and she said no, adding that it was time to go home and that I could get comfortable in the car. I asked how long I had been in post-op, and she replied, '30 minutes.' She then starts going over my post op instructions and demands I calm down, stop crying, and sign the instructions. Very thorough and caring with tests in ER. Wait time was too long but they still monitored me in waiting area.

I was so impressed with this place and the employees . I had a précidure last week and from the minute I walked in the door till I left the staff were on top of everything cutting up with you , I heard jokes being told etc .
