It's a family owned business, with the owner and his kid hanging out on Sundays to sell their candles. Worried about your house burning down? They have little wax cartridges that you can load into a hopper that melts them and makes it smell good. When I got to meet Funderkandles, they were hanging out at the Alamo Heights Farmers Market, but they go to other markets on other days, and can be bought online.

The two antique stores aisles are so jam packed with items you can barely walk through. The old filling station converted into an antique shop has no AC and doesn't open until 11 on Fridays, so during the summer in Texas it is already pretty hot by then. There was a public bathroom in the middle of everything so that was nice. Also stopped by cheetahlish boutique store and barely got in the door before the guy running the register made us feel unwelcome by immediately stating that there really wasn't enough aisle room for us. Needless to say, we left pretty quickly after arriving. Would like to come back to see John T. Floored and restaurant and music venue. Lots of big and small artists seem to come through

His communication was very hard to understand and tried to lowball the price. Communication is not his strong suit, and he became extreme and unreasonable in his responses. I would steer clear of him and his business. Real anger problems.

This place is pretty large and the rooms sort of wind together. There are a alot of booths and…read moresections with different items and for the more traditional hunters I'm sure they'd find some cool items. I didn't really see much here and the strange slanting of the floor, with the flickering lighting and pockets of heat made looking around less than idea. The staff was nice though.
