The lack of communication was unacceptable. The noise from the nurses station was so loud even in room with door closed. Pain meds never given, lunch never ordered and home care given to the patient was not consistent from each person entering the room, surgeon, nurse practitioner, post op nurse, Tech or the nurse on the floor. ALSO, I've been to the clinic a lot and there's NOT a wait every time. I think people are just used to doctors not spending a lot of time to understand what their issue is, unlike Dr. Nguyen who does. I also really like the receptionists. I made an appointment a week earlier, then when I showed up I was told that appointment was cancelled and they had called me and left a message. No, they didn't call. I even checked my phone's call log in front of the check-in desk and verified they had the correct phone number. No missed call and no message. I had to reschedule for the following day and luckily I wasn't working those days. Imagine the mess if I had been working, though! On the second scheduled appointment, I checked in early, and waited about 20 minutes to be taken back to the exam room. I was first seen by a really knowledgeable Medical Assistant who answered any questions. Then, there was a nurse who conducted the physical exam. She was quick and painless and also provided great information. She gladly prescribed the birth control I wanted and made sure to give me the generic version so that I only paid about $10/pack. I had my legs up on the stirrups while she was sitting at the desk talking to me after the exam. I had to finally ask if she was through with the exam and if could I put my legs down. Ummm, hello, I'm exposed here and you were through a couple of minutes ago and didn't tell me? OK, maybe the nurse got distracted with writing down my information on the paperwork, but still, let a lady know immediately that she can put her legs down and sit up on the table. Immediately! The exam itself was not cheap -- around $200! I paid out of pocket cash and was given a slight discount for the service, around $160. When you call to make an appointment the staff will happily explain how much all the services cost and what is included. Just ask! The building itself is newer and in a nice part of town in a shopping center. There's plenty of parking. The waiting room is small, but clean. I'd definitely go again if needed, but be prepared to drop some cash, as PP has lost a lot of funding that once helped lower income women pay for their reproductive care.

The check was to reimburse me back for past payments (that should have been covered)! My insurance company initially denied claims and coverage months ago. However Naomi continued being persistent to get them to honor and cover my exams with a minimum copay. She really went the distance - to assist me by getting back payments I was owed - as well as benefits for future coverage. The friendly staff at the Dallas office are all very nice, polite and professional! Before Foundation - I was in a Methadone clinic for several years after a pain-management addiction occurred. It was a miserable experience - my first counselor actually died from a heroine drug-overdose! I was treated like dirt by everyone but the nurse administering daily dosages ( which was a big hassle also!). Methadone is a horrible solution! Everyone has been very positive and knowledgable from Dr. Thompson to the entire team. Dealing with a narcotic addiction involves many physiological and physiological aspects and can be challenging and demoralizing - And expensive! Choose your provider very carefully and find kind, good and competent professionals like those at Foundation Medical. They are always available to help you and will work hard for a successful healthcare treatment program! They have improved the quality of my life!

After initial blood test and prescriptions ($1000 not including prescriptions) he emailed me my results and prescribed new. I waited 5 months to make sure my second levels would be accurate with new recommendations since I had pelleted with my previous doctor and wanted to move away from that (it was the only method offered at that practice). At second visit ($600 for blood test and another long discussion, where no action was taken regarding my hair loss, skin conditions, side effects of levels) he said he would send my results the following Monday.  He finally sent them 11 DAYS LATER via email.  My levels were so out of range I questioned they were even my test results.  Dr. Fein had my testosterone levels at 4 times the normal level for someone my age (58) --level was 411, and every other result was the worst they had ever been in ALL areas, so when I called to speak with him about the results, he would not take the call, but his assistant did. When I was upset about the results, Laura actually hung up on me! I called back to ask why, and she said I was upset, to which I responded PERHAPS BECAUSE I'M JACKED UP ON TESTOSTERONE? I asked to speak with the DOCTOR and an appointment was made, although the evening before the appointment call it was canceled via email for the reason I upset the staff and that I should "go back to my previous doctor" (the one he slandered). Simmons Cancer Center .. New…read more My 73 year old wife had a lung scan every year since 2021 revealing "ground glass" effect causing recommend to another yearly scan. She missed 2023 because of couple extensive back and neck surgeries. 2024 scan revealed 2 very small nodules yet recommendation for wait a year see if they grow. Unknown to me maybe because my wife did not see it as significant. She kept this info from me. I would have pushed go back in 6 months at most. November 2025 one nodule had quadrupled in size now above the .8 MM that triggers biopsy. A good local hospital will remained unnamed performed the scans and biopsy but I knew she needed professional specialists. After some internet evaluation I might have chosen Houstons MD Anderson being number one in the world but distance and possibility of multiple traveling appointments caused opting for Simmons Center at UTSW. It has a very high rating, the same certifications, same modern technology and was closer access which is important for people of our age. It was a good decision as we met oncologist Dr Wei the next week who has an outstanding online video introducing herself to prospective patients. Just the video was reassuring! Even tho we had no appointment with Dr Nelson he came in and looked at our scans. Was also reassuring and said that they usually do surgery within 30 days if they think it is the correct path. This was music to my paranoid ears. PET scan and breathing test was required then he lived up to his promise removing both nodules and several lymph nodes for lab evaluation in the same surgery December 2025. They think she is cured (KNOCK ON WOOD) In summary I would give 6 stars if possible for both these doctors and even tho we did not have to use her expertise Dr Zhang (the radiation specialist) also was welcoming, friendly and very professional. These doctors and every one at Simmons from valet to pre and post surgery nurses were pros and always polite and friendly. We did not have to partake in their Hope Lodge which is a free hotel for their patients. Radiation would have been daily for 6 weeks and living 75 miles away would not have been able to keep up with that drive every day. But it is there if you need it. I have read some reviews about taking too long to get appointments or having to wait past time of appointment and would suggest achieving excellent trained specialist is the assignment for you or loved ones! Organizing yourself and your records will streamline the process of dealing with a large and very busy organization. Maybe write down notes in your smart phone listing questions as you think of them before the appointment. Finally patience might be the best attribute to becoming a successful patient. Let me assure you these people will be on it quickly

I have attempted to schedule a neurology consultation for my wife regarding Deep Brain Stimulation…read more(DBS) surgery, and the process has been a total nightmare. After five separate calls, I have encountered nothing but incompetence and conflicting information from the administrative staff. The communication hurdles are constant. I was initially told I needed a specific permission form to speak on my wife's behalf. After securing and submitting the necessary documentation, they still refused to speak with me, claiming they now required verbal consent--something they previously stated was not the protocol. DBS is a major, life-altering procedure. If this level of administrative disorganization is a preview of the care and coordination my wife would receive during surgery, I am deeply concerned. A world-class medical facility should have a staff that knows their own policies. At this point, I have zero confidence in their ability to handle a complex surgical case if they cannot even handle a phone call.

I scheduled and paid for a telehealth visit with this practice for one specific purpose: to obtain…read morea referral for a colonoscopy and endoscopy based on concerning symptoms. During the visit, the nurse explicitly told me that the referral for the procedures would be processed. Instead, without any explanation, the office sent a referral for a gastroenterology consultation appointment instead of the procedures that were discussed and requested. When I contacted the office to correct what appeared to be a mistake, they refused to amend the referral. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I spoke directly with the gastroenterology office. They confirmed they were ready to schedule the procedures immediately as soon as they received the proper referral order. In other words, the only barrier was the primary care office sending the order they had already indicated they would send. The explanation I received from the office was baffling. I was told that because I have symptoms, they would not issue the procedure referral and that I must first attend an office visit with the GI doctor. Yet in the same conversation I was told that if I had no symptoms, they would have had no problem issuing the referral directly for the procedures. That logic is very difficult to reconcile. After the office refused to correct the referral--even when I offered to pay for another telehealth visit to resolve the issue--I ultimately had to go to urgent care. The urgent care physician reviewed the situation and had no problem issuing the referral for the procedures immediately. So to summarize: the service I originally paid this practice to provide was something a completely unrelated urgent care physician was able to do without hesitation. If the policy of this office is that they will not write procedure referrals and will only refer patients for specialist consultations, that should be communicated before the appointment, not after patients have already paid for the visit and relied on what they were told during it. The end result of this experience was wasted time, wasted money, unnecessary frustration, and a delay in obtaining medical testing for symptoms serious enough to warrant investigation. Patients deserve clear communication, consistency, and follow-through from their healthcare providers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
