This was the 2nd pistol marksmanship class that I have taken. David's class was far and away…read moresuperior to the 1st class. His ability to diagnose what you are doing wrong, and then correct it is what stands out in my mind. As an example, early on in the class I was dropping the front of the pistol in anticipation of trying to see what I had hit on the shot. He tried to correct me verbally, but I was not getting it. So, he got out his phone, videoed me while shooting, then played the video back to me. I was able to see what I was doing wrong, and correct. At another point in the class, I was not focusing correctly on the front site when pressing the trigger, and again, I was not getting the verbal correction. David pulled out a photo of a page with three images. 1st image was the rear site in focus, with the front and target blurred. 2nd was the rear and front blurred, with the target in focus. 3rd had the rear site and target blurred, with the front site in focus. I got it. David knows what he is doing, and is an excellent instructor.

I chose the Super-Combo class so I could learn how to disassemble, assemble, properly hold and shoot a gun. Best experience ever! He has a variety of handguns we were able to familiarize with and that was awesome. Prior to attending the class, I felt okay with a handgun, but not very confident and was really unsure if I was going to pass the written/shooting test. Now, after the almost 12-hour day I spent with Rey, I feel so confident and ready to purchase my first gun and properly care for it. You learn all the necessities to owning a gun - with great tips and advice from how and what to clean your handgun with, to great holsters that are out on the market. Rey has a great personality and makes the class very entertaining. He provides snacks and beverages which is very kind. I'm excited to hear more about what Delta Range 93 has to offer in the future - Rey has a lot of super cool ideas! They have everything you need ammunition/weapon wise from what I can tell and I appreciate that I can come back here to go shooting. And I probably should, once I'm not longer a scardy cat, but I like that you can't tell if they are shooting, because it's like impossible that I have gone there when no one is practicing. The place is quiet, cold, clean, and just a gun club. Google maps will sometimes try to send you a building up or down, so be aware. Otherwise, a nice little venue that is kind to anyone who happens to wander in no matter what the reason is when you visit.
