4/13/2016 I called the company Texas Outdoor lighting and told me they would give me a quote. Joey and his assistant came over to check out what I wanted which in fact never heard a word what I wanted . They decided to do what they wanted to do to a already established landscape lighting. I said he quoted me almost a ridiculous price of 13,550.00 which in fact his competitor did an amazing job for only 1000 dollars. Joey did mention people usually give him a blank check like the city of San Antonio did to light up the Alamo. I do have to say they were very nice people but would not recommend very high for what you get. read more

After a prompt response to schedule a consultation, Joel came out and discussed the possible lighting designs for our backyard, and could not have been more knowledgeable and friendly. Once Joel came back with a design that catered to our exact needs, he was quick to schedule his expert team to come out and get the work done. Joe and his crew were very professional, and went above and beyond to install the system exactly as planned, and tweak settings where needed. My family and I moved out to Texas from California just over 4 years ago. We absolutely love it here in Austin, but it has been extremely difficult to find good help when it comes to home improvement or repairs. For the most part contractors have been flaky and very unreliable from our experience. I just think there is too much work here in Austin and help doesn't have to be as hungry as they do in other parts of the country. When we started looking at lighting options for our new home we just built in Rough Hollow in Lakeway, we went through the whole phone book, interviewing, getting quotes and ideas for our house, yard, outdoor kitchen and pool. After interviewing them all, it was a very easy decision to choose Texas Outdoor Lighting. Their sales consultant is amazing. Her name is Denise and you really can tell from the minute you meet her that she is going to be fun to work with. She is honest, creative and budget minded. She knows her products inside and out and does a wonderful PowerPoint presentation laying out the job and what she suggests you do, keeping in mind your budget and wishes/wants. The owner of the company is named Joel. He too goes out of his way to go above and beyond for you, even when it doesn't pertain to the job or even if he isn't making a penny for his added help. For example, Joel happened to be over helping with the installation of our backyard landscape lights the afternoon we were having our pool barrier inspection. The inspector noticed we were missing an electrical ground for our fence. Joel ran out to Home Depot, got what was needed to pass inspection, installed it, and we passed. He didn't charge me a penny. He was also on-site the entire time everything was being installed. Joel was hands on, up in the trees, and managing his team like a true professional. TOL stands behind their work 100%! We had a wire cut by our landscaper and they came out and repaired it. We had to take down some lighting in our outdoor kitchen so some repairs could be made to the kitchen and they came back after the kitchen repairs were made and put back up the lighting. Denise has been by numerous times to adjust the lighting to maximize the final product. We have had at least 10 people in our neighborhood ask for Denise's information. It is a true compliment to the finished product and to TOL. I cannot compliment them enough. The only problem is this...when you start adding some light to your house or yard, it becomes kind of addicting . We are so happy we decided to work with TOL. Joel, Denise and their entire team are amazing at what they do. And their customer service is second to none. Give them a shot! You will be so happy you did! read more

I called to set up a time to get a quote, no answer-left a message. Later that day, I received a call back from Samantha, but I missed her call. I called back, again no answer-this time a left a message letting them know my availability. Couple days went by, no returned called, so called again, left another message. If you are considering anyone to do outdoor lighting for your house and/or yard you'd be crazy not to use these guys. If everyone I dealt with worked as hard as Mike and his crew, and produced this caliber of work the world would be a better place. Mike totally redid the system that I had put in place in last year with another company (lightning struck one of my fixtures and blew the whole setup), and the difference in quality between the two companies is staggering. If you are wanting to update an old outdoor lighting system or install new lights around your home or in your landscaping, Texas Outdoor Lighting is the company you should choose. The owner, Joel, and his team were awesome to work with. Joel is the nicest person and his attention to detail is incredible. They added something like 200 lights to our house and landscaping, and each light was installed professionally with no damage to our landscaping. They replaced all of our old wiring and did an exceptional job of burying all lines. Anywhere that we suggested lights should be, even places that I thought would be impossible to add lighting to, was no problem for them. After they finished the lighting, they even hired a professional photographer to fly a drone around our house and make a professional video. These guys are great! Joel was very pleasant to work with on a fairly large project (apprx 136 lights I believe). The install was done professionally, the lighting design was well thought out & they even did a little landscaping for free(cutting back over growth to maximize lights performance). TOL gave a prompt and complete estimate. The crew arrived on time and did a great job. The system has been flawless for months but we recently had a power outage and surge that caused a malfunction.
