Here's the deal: if you want to work on your RV and you live in the San Antonio area, you come here for parts. You can go to Camping World of New Braunfels but you most likely won't find what you want if it's an out of the ordinary item. Either store, you'll pay a premium for the item you want. RV supply offered to order a part I wanted but it cost twice as much as it would have at the dealership! Still, if I want a part today, odds are I will find it at RV Supply before anywhere else. This is a great company with great people. As I was leaving town on my last trip (by myself - my husband was coming later), I noticed a bolt was loose. I didn't have the correct tool, so I drove on in and asked to borrow one. They were so nice. One of the guys took a break and tightened it for me. The parts and service department is excellent. If you need supplies, the store is fully stocked and you will probably leave with more than you came for. I always find a "must have" item while I'm there. Had my RV generator worked on. While working on my generator the awning opened up slightly. They were unable to close it without the remote. They pulled out My microwave to get to the awning motor with no luck in closing it. They forced it closed and screwed thru the housing to keep it closed. Picked it up paid $400 and went camping. It worked for 1 hour. Took it back for them to fix the generator again. They had it for two months and I called for 9 business days in a row before someone would call me back. They said the generator was fixed but the awning motor was now out and would be more expensive to fix than to replace it. It worked fine when I took it in, it just needed a remote. They refuse to discuss it with me and they just ignored me as I stand there waiting for an answer and then they walked into the back. The customer service is nonexistent! read more

They are dishonest and condescending. We asked them to check ATF in hydraulic levelling system. They YELLED at us telling us that they know their business and we should trust them to do it. They also said that our levelling system is not hydraulic. Ha ha ha it is. Of course, they were unable to fix the levelling system. In fact we got it back with additional things wrong with it. They eventually fixed what they broke. They also charged us for a service they said they would do for free. Sad to see the place go down hill, like it has. read more

My husband has become a jack of all trades since we have been RVing full time across the country. Instead of waiting 4-6 weeks to schedule a pump repair, he decided to cut his loss on the warranty and do it himself. They were extremely helpful with the parts (which was the same price as Amazon and way cheaper than Camping World). 5 minutes before closing, Jerry took the the time to write down some must sees he thought our kids would like during our visit. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! We picked up our first trailer from the manufacturer a few weeks ago. Unbeknownst to us, the hitch/sway bars were rigged ENTIRELY WRONG. The back end of our Suburban was heavily weighed down and the front end was 'drifting' which made it very difficult (and probably dangerous) to control on the highway. Being first-time owners, we didn't know any better so we drove it from Dallas to San Antonio ... two days later we were headed out of town for our first weekend in the trailer. We were not confident that we connected it correctly, so at 4:45 pm on a Friday, we pulled into Texas RV Supply and asked for their opinion. These guys spent over an hour (they close at 5:00, but that didn't stop them) correcting my hitch/sway bar set up, raising the ball, etc. The difference in steering and vehicle control was AMAZING. I was super-impressed that they knew exactly what was wrong (apparently the dealer didn't), they stayed after hours to help, and then they REFUSED PAYMENT ... WE ARE CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE! -- E. & R. The first time I visited Texas RV supply was when my refrigerator, furnace, and water heater all seized functioning at the same time. I thought it had to be an LP gas problem. I was expecting a nausea inducing bill, so when Tony called a few hours later and said they had cleaned some rust and dust out of the burners and it would be $197, I had to have him repeat it, because I thought maybe he had left off a zero. On my next visit, they installed a new inverter that I had bought online. Got me in right away, took 2 hrs, and done for $250. I took returned because I thought it was supposed to run 120v to the whole RV but it was originally wired to supply only certain areas (my bad!), but they spent some time confirming that and (Preston) explaining it to me, then aired up my tires, and charged me nothing. Do yourself a favor and have you RVing needs filled here. The service department not only does wonderful work, but is very conscientious in thier work. They removed our old couch and installed a Thomas Payne theater style loveseat recliners. They did a wonderful job. Later this summer our fridge went out. They installed a larger fridge, having to modify the opening. You would never know it wasn't factory. The fit and trim look great and the wife is pleased (most important). We will be bringing our class a back to them when we are back in San Antonio. Try them, you will be glad you did. read more

This is an awful, dishonest, and extremely unprofessional business. They will try to take every penny they can and will lie and steal to make a dollar off of you. Do NOT take your vehicle to be serviced here if you can avoid it!! Also, if you need a part Amazon and many other online business are MUCH cheaper. Our experience: We originally took in our 2009 trailer to have it inspected and we're originally quoted in the ball park of $300. They reviewed what the inspection entailed and when we went to pick it up notified us that it was now over a $500 bill. My husband begrudgingly paid and was told the trailer would be ready the next day, however, when he showed up not only was it not ready, they were waiting on a part. At this point we were under the impression everything had been completed. Fast forward to a few days later and when my husband goes to pick up the trailer, we now have a new bill for an additional $250. Apparently they suddenly found a new problem after a second look (although we were told all work was complete) and decided to fix it with no authorization. I told them I would pay for the part but that was it and they would not budge. I will NEVER come to this business again and I will be contacting several agencies to report the dishonest practices of this business. I hope the extra money they got from us was worth the hundreds of dollars they will miss out now that they have lost a repeat customer. Please avoid this business!! Dissatisfied does not even begin to tell you how angry and frustrated I am. read more

While visiting San Antonio, the RV developed a leak in the shower diverter valve. I carefully pulled it and noticed a plastic plug in the device was bad. The people at Texas RV Supply could not have been nicer. They had a mechanic clear the device of plastic threads, and sold me the necessary supplies to get the job done. I was nervous about doing such a technical job but they put me at ease and made sure I had everything needed to do it right.
